Hello all!

Welcome to my latest endeavour on this site...this is all a little off the top of my head, but I hope it will work out and people will enjoy!

Intro:

This thread will chronicle an adventure through a fantasy realm...one which wants to get you messy...can you make the right choices and stay clean...or will you end up on the receiving end of one of it's many pit falls...only time...and your luck will tell ;)

How it works:

I will begin the story...and stop it at a certain cliffhanger, those that want to play will then post the following:

1. Their character name
2. Their race (Human, Ork, Elf, Dwarf)
3. Your characters weapon
4. Their characters special skill (one per player, be creative...anything overpowered will be turned against you, so keep it realistic).
5. Your action to combat the challenge.

Once you have posted and a certain amount of time has passed, I will reveal the results of your actions and whether you face reward or forfeit. I will expect you to post back to either detail what you did for your forfeit, or acknowledgement of your reward.

Now you can team up with other players, so if a player posts a certain action, you could support them...or even undermine them ;) maybe you push someone into harms way in the attempt to stay clean and get a reward...

I will reward creativity, punish dull responses, but we shall see what calibre of player enters this realm...so let us begin...

Oh and before I forget...I am the dungeon master here, and my ruling is final...appeals against forfeits will be heard, but not necessarily listened to...

The wind was howling that night...the trees come to life, branches swaying in the air, dancing fanatically to a silent melody...unsuspecting of what was to come next...

For you see, this ordinary forest was about to be cursed and become a very treacherous and potentially messy place for any that may enter and try to reveal it's secrets...

On the edge of this dense forest was a small town, called Splott, a grim place, with little more than a tavern, a few dwellings, a couple of small farms and a granary, more of a stopping point for travellers on their way to seek adventure and glory!...for you may not know this, but MUK forest is an ancient place, it has had it's share of tales over the years, many have gone missing here...many battles have been fought here between neighbouring kingdoms and many ancient ruins can be found overgrown by natures incessant growth...

Our tale begins in the Tavern of Slime Hill... our bartender, is busy chatting to the local farmers, telling his tales of yesteryear...for you see he was quite the adventurer in his youth...

"I tell you folk, there is more Gold hidden in that forest than a thousand wagons could hope to carry, I own this hear Tavern thanks to my excursions...and luck in my prime" He smirked as he talked...

"Dennis!" One of the farmers blasted out! "Please stop, we've heard your stories a thousand times and we still don't believe a word of it, we are happy to work an honest living, tending to our Pigs and Cows, tending to our grain, brewing our mead...we care not for your fanciful tales of adventure, that is not a life for a simple farmer, nor one we care to listen to!"

Dennis, obviously annoyed then proceeded to skulk behind his bar and wash some mugs...only spitting in every third one...Life was a dull one here and his stories was his only real excitement...

"Hey...what's going on here?!" The farmer exclaimed while staring out of the window..."Something is happening, I don't understand"...

The locals gathered up against the window, looking quite transfixed at the occurring's outside...as the normally lush green forest started to blur, and almost appear to flex from their point of view...growing very dark, the sky started to cloud over, Lightning began to strike to forest over and over, the thunder so deafening that the locals had to hold their hands over their ears to avoid being deafened...Rain was pouring at such a rate it soon started to flood outside, the water began seeping into the Tavern...but as soon as the storm started, it quickly subsided...but looking out to the forest, there was now a bright green glow, almost blinding to the eye...and then it came...

NO ONE SHALL ENTER THIS FOREST, NO ONE SHALL LEAVE THIS TOWN, THEY ARE MY DOMAIN, GREAT PUNISHMENT WILL BEFALL ANY WHO DISOBEY MY WORDS

And then there was silence...

But unfortunately...this was the moment a group of travellers started to flock into the Tavern for shelter...

The group was hard to describe, a complete mix of all sorts, different races, genders, heights, weapons...obviously some sort of travelling adventurers...

Bloxo

The locals still in shock at the occurings in the forest didn't even notice the travellers arrival...they stood their, mouths gaped open, in utter disbelief of what had just happened, their small minds trying to comprehend what was happening...

"Um, excuse me" One of the travellers was trying to get the bartenders attention, "is this some joke? We have just arrived here to have some mead before continuing through this forest...and then all that crazy stuff happened...is this some local prank?"

The bartender took a moment from his dumbfounded look to turn and stare at the travellers, he tried to talk...but words escaped him, no matter the truth of his history...he had never seen anything like this before.

"Just what is going on here?!" The traveller exclaimed!...he was met with a pained attempt to talk, but no words could leave the bartenders mouth..."Listen, speak up or we shall not be drinking here"...still nothing..."Fine, come on my merry adventurers, we are leaving...we will not be held hostage to some joke on the newcomers!" The adventurer walked straight out of the Tavern and the group followed.

The group made it a little along the muddy road...before the ground started to shake...the group stopped...readying their weapons, for this was no natural quake...

The ground then changed shape...the outskirts of the town began to become towering walls of earth, encircling the village, leaving nothing but a small opening to the forest

YOU SHALL NOT LEAVE!! The mysterious voice boomed once more... NOW YOU SHALL FACE YOUR PUNISHMENT FOR DISOBEYING MY ORDAINED WORD!

It was then that out of the newly formed walls of mud that strange movements could be seen...at first it looked like the wall was warping, distorting itself, but then distinct shapes were emerging from it...Slime Monsters!!

The creatures of untold number began edging their way towards to the group, looking gross, slimy and of all kinds of different colours...

How will our group react? What actions will they take?

You decide...enter the game if you dare...tell us your tale, tell us your brave...or cowardly actions...and we shall see what fate befalls you ;)

Upon seeing the slime monsters approach Vincentio the Dwarf falls back and takes his large Mace in his hands, standing ready to smack everything that comes towards him, whilst prepared to cast a heal on a team member in need.
Popping up as the leader of the pack, he makes sure everybody gets in to formation and into the right spots to take down the enemy. Observing every move and coordinating the team.
Will they be strong enough to hold them back? Nobody knows yet, but Vincentio is assured that the team will be ready.

(something like this? :) Casting back into my role of the faithful paladin healer :D ).

Okay a slow start...

But just a few extra points:

- Yes you need to use your imagination and be creative...but the forfeits will be real dares

- The rewards you can get for making good choices will either improve your chances of surviving...or even getting other players messy

- I will respect limits with forfeits of course

- a reminder that sometimes you have to be cruel to save yourself...or will your cruelty backfire?

This game depends on the players ultimately, you do not have to play constantly, happy for people to dip in and out, each new part of the story will play as a new round

Name: Andarin
Race: Elf
Weapon: Longbow
Skill: Rope arrows - Using his bow and a length of rope, Andarin can reach all sorts of hard to reach areas.

Standing behind the protection of Vincentio, Andarin readies his longbow let's loose an arrow, hoping to pick off some of the slime creatures before they reach the group.

Great idea by the way! :)

Name: Krill
Race: Human
Weapon: Rapier sword
Skill: A spell that allows the creation of small magic structures (basic shields, tiny bridges etc.) However, he's new to the spell and often will not cast it correctly, meaning it wont work or will cancel without warning. [Hopefully not too overpowered]

With a look of disgust at the slime creatures, the apprentice wizard takes a step back and pulls out his sword. He readies himself to strike at the creatures as they get closer and makes sure the spell is ready so he can protect himself if the creatures lurch at him. Perhaps he would try and protect Andarin, Vincentio, or the rest of the team but only if he was safe from the creatures when he did so.

[Basically he's the party's kinda selfish wizard, who's not great at magic]

Okay, I think that I should have put more work into this game, next round I will give some options to choose from so it's easier for people to play, but let's have a go at continuing and see how things work out...

So our valiant adventurers decide to take on the slime monsters head on!

Led by Vincentio the group mounts the charge!

Nolon and Caspian lead the advance, Vincentio in the middle of the fray, with Krill and Andarin providing support...Becky stands back and tries to avoid the fight...

The monsters are all made up of different messy substances, held together by magical fields and literally aim to throw themselves at our adventurers!

Nolon swings his swift Rapier at the approaching targets, and the sword slices through a bean monster and a gunge monster effortlessly!

Caspian goes to work slashing away with his axes...but soon finds himself overwhelmed! He cuts down one yoghurt monster...but before he can swing his axes again a Custard Monster overwhelms him!

- Forfeit: Pour custard over your head!

Vincentio stands firm and bashes monster after monster with his mace, crushing many that try to splat him!

Andarin manages to sink a few arrows into the crowd of monsters, but unfortunately one of the beasts while charging him explodes!

- Forfeit: splatter your self with Jam!

Krill is busy casting shield spells while swinging away at any monster that comes close...but one of his spells gets miscast...oops, it's a teleport spell and a cream monster ends up high in the air...falling on the unsuspecting Becky!

- Forfeit: Becky has to take a whipped cream pie to the top of the head, with a pie sandwich to follow!

The first wave of monsters is now vanquished and our heroes, though somewhat messy are feeling proud of their accomplishment...until suddenly, a new wave, 5 times as many as before appear and advance...the group has no choice but to retreat...they try to gain access to the pub but the door has been locked and bolted...the only way they can go is to the forest!

Chapter 2: A forests a stirring!

Our heroes rush into the forest, but the slime monsters do not follow, they are safe for now...

The forest is dark, Krill initiates a light spell so the group can see where they are going...

There is one straight pathway ahead and the group follows this onwards, keeping ever watchful for any surprises along the way...

RETURN BACK TO THE VILLAGE the mysterious voice booms, but our group doesn't care, they need to vanquish this enemy so they can move on with their quests, they plod on until the path opens up into a clearing, walled all around with trees with the path continuing on the other side...however the clearing isn't empty...

In front of the group is a giant tree, it's branches full of what appear to be various coloured balloons...the group try to walk around the tree but it spreads it's branches to cover the clearing, creating thorny impenetrable walls forcing the group to fight!

What does our intrepid group do next?

1. Attack the trunk head on
2. Try to hack through the Thorn walls
3. Attack the branches of the tree to weaken it
4. Something else (use your imagination).

Existing players, if you want to continue, make your choice and describe your actions.

New players, please give your introduction and make your choices.

We shall see who gets messy this round and who escapes!

Name: Krill
Race: Human
Weapon: Rapier sword
Skill: Basic shield and bridge spells that often go wrong with how new he is to magic.
Choice: 2. Try to hack through the Thorn walls

Looking at the large tree, Krill begins to panic. Although they haven't seen the slime monsters after entering the forest, he's scared they're still following. Most of the party looked disgusting and, in his clean state, he would be damned if they would sneak up on him and put him in the same state.

He walks towards the wall of thorns, having dismissed the balloons as just some weird plant from this insane forest. He pulls out his sword with the intention to cut through the thorns.

The sooner he was out of this forest the better. He also made a gesture to bring the light right above his head. He glanced to see that the party were pretty much illuminated still, and if they weren't then they could move closer to him. After all, he needed to make sure he wasn't cut by the thorns; the fact he was both the centre of attention and literally in the spotlight, something he was fond of, just acted as an added bonus.

Without taking any more time to think about the consequences - for himself and certainly not for his mess covered party - he began to cut through the thorns.

Wiping the jam from his face, Andarin ties a length of rope to one of his arrows and shoots it high up the imposing tree. He begins to climb, hoping to get high above those balloons before attacking from above.

Out of character, it turns out it's quite hard to splatter yourself with jam. I ended up scooping a blob out of the jar and splatting it into my face. Sticky, but tasty. ;)

Nolon continues on the path with his fellow travelers, silently stroking his own ego for managing to stay clean due to his own effortless performance. Even more so knowing that most of the party did not manage to do so as well. Seeing Krill hacking at the thorns, Nolon decides that this is probably the best course of action if they want to continue. He begins to start hacking into them as well while cheering on Krill.

Shana the elf joins the group in the forest. She uses her freezing powers to turn the trees as brittle as ice this should make the cutting through much easier. Her powers will need to recharge after freezing so much of the forest

Let battle commence!

First up is Andarin...shooting his arrow into the air he doesn't seem to realise there is nothing above the tree for the point to connect with...the arrow ends up falling back down...as it falls he looks in fear as it is heading straight for the branches of the tree...it connects with a big white balloon and this in turn explodes...showering Andarin with whipped cream

- Forfeit: Pie Hat for you (Andarin)

Then Griffin appears...having trailed behind the party, with a mighty yell he tries to reason with the oversized and rather ugly tree...however he failed to speak in Tree language...his voice simply angers the tree which proceeds to shower down balloons on him!

- Forfeit: Choose 3 messy substances to pour over your head (Griffin)

Next up, Shana, Nolon and Krill try a different approach...with Shana's freezing magic, Nolon and Krill are able to make light work of the thorns and soon cut a path through, however Shana had to use a lot of magic to get the thorns brittle enough...so much so that her wand itself freezes and that cold spreads back to her!

-Forfeit: 4 ice cubes to be distributed in your underwear (Shana)

During all of this, a large branch of thorns breaks on the ground...Krill picks this up, he has a new weapon!

- Reward: Krill gains Thorn Sword, this sword may be used to deflect on messy forfeit on to another player

Chapter 3: A slimy lake to cross

Our party escapes the clutches of the devilish tree and runs through to forest to escape it's clutches, they proceed down the pathway, thick brush either side of them, the mages light giving them their only visibility...but what is this?! The ground below them is starting to get squelchy...and before long, there is no longer a path...but a large pinkish lake ahead of them blocking their path.

There is no way around this lake, as it appears to have great stone slabs blocking any other possible route, there are small islands dotted over the lake, but they cannot be jumped too, they are too far apart!

They can see the bank on the other side...on this shore of the lake are a few trees of course (well it is a forest after all!), but these trees do have a lot of vines hanging down...maybe enough to swing over...but they look pretty loose...what does out party do to cross this imposing obstacle?

1. Swing with the vines
2. Use the Vines to make a catapult to hurl the players across
3. Try to construct some kind of rudimentary boat
4. Try some magical solutions
5. Another creative idea!

How will our heroes fair this time?

Option Four: Try a magical solution.

To say Krill was smug was an understatement. He had managed to make it through both the slime monsters and the weird tree without getting a single spec of dirt on his expensive, one of a kind robes. He'd even managed to get himself a new, also one of a kind, weapon from the ordeal, so he had quietly claimed the title of the most successful member of the group.

He grimaced a little at the sight of the pink lake, however. He'd felt the ground soften under his boots - which he would replace as soon as possible because of the mud they'd gained, a man of his stature had to be the very picture of dignity at all times - and the lake was obviously the reason for it.

"Disgusting," he muttered quietly.

After dismissing the vines immediately, he was a slim man without the upper body strength to hold himself up, he glanced across the lake. He would rely on his magic, it was the only way.

On the shore of the lake, he cast a spell that made a small floating platform of golden energy about two metres long and one meter wide. He would walk to the end, recast the spell so a new platform was under him that allowed him to walk a little further, and would continue until he reached the end of the lake.

He just hoped he could trust his magic to get him across...

WAMPup
08-16-2018, 01:54 PM
Nolon smugly thinks about his success, having managed to avoid ruining his clothes so far. Sure he may not have found a shiny new weapon, but he was clean and that was what mattered. Trudging through the mud though, he fears this is about to change. What to do? The vines don't look like they would hold up even if he could trust his upper body strength to hold out long enough to try. Seeing Krill starting his attempt to cross with his magic, Nolon decides it would he could at least try to help in the only way he knows how, bolstering his morale. "See? Somebody's got the right idea. Brilliant plan Krill. You should be able to cross that way." Once Krill has managed to get at least halfway across and out of earshot, Nolon will stop concentrating on Krill and start concentrating on how to get himself across. Too bad he can't just inspire himself. "Does anybody have any rope? Andarin. If we tied rope or cut down some vines and tied them to your arrows....Do you think we could create a rope or vine line we can use to cross? Would you be able to get enough force behind your arrows to pierce the trees deep enough that they wouldn't fall out from the weight of one of us at a time?" If they take this course of action Nolon will cheer on Andarin as they fire and then each member of the party that wishes to use the makeshift line individually as they cross, opting to be the last one to cross.

(Creative option, unless Andarin doesn't want to try it in which case Nolon will be forced to try figuring out which vines are not too short, too long, or too loose to swing from)

Shana, still shivering from all the ice she manifested is anxious to get out of this area. I hop on the vines and attempt to swing. Hoping that my tiny elf body will be supported by the vines while my ice recharges. Maybe if I can make it accross there is something on the other shore to help the group accross

Action 3.

Using some of the sticky mess from the balloons and some wood I craft a small boat for 2 people. I offer to take one person across if they steer. As the steer us across I make an illusion of another party member "jumping" across the islands as a distraction for anything lurking below.

If no one takes my offer, I'll create a still illusion on one of the islands and focus on steering hoping it draws away anything from the boat.

Our intrepid heroes approach the lake...all of them a little aghast at the site of slimy ooze before them...

First up is Krill...a novel approach to try and use some magic...however what our heroes didn't know is that this lake was immune to magic spells...he cast his platform, stepped onto it...and it disintegrated immediately...he falls into the slimy lake

Forfeit - Pudding shower for you! Take a container of pudding and pour it over your head, make sure to be wearing something so you feel the effect of clothes being ruined (Krill)

Shana steps up next...looking rather smug as Krill splashes around in the slime :)
She grabs onto a vine, gives it a tug...it stays firm and takes a swing over to the a little island, landing firmly on her feet, she repeats this a couple of times, island hopping...however the last vine of the circuit manages to snap...sending her falling flat into the slimy lake!

Forfeit - Pour some mess (pudding/Cream) onto the floor (bath will do) and roll around in it, making sure to go into it front first (Shana)

Next up we have a team effort, with Andarin remaining silent it is up to Nolon to turn to Griffin to help!
They work together to build their boat, success! With Nolon steering, the two of them safely navigate to the other side of the lake!

The two players who fell into the lake end up swimming over to the final shore, our heroes are now passed the lake...they proceed down the next path deeper into the forest...

Chapter 4: Ogres in our midst!

Our party...now rather weighed down in mess continues into the forest, determined to find the monster at it's centre in order to lift the curse and find freedom!

A lot of these paths feel the same, but this path does curve around and around a few times...eventually they reach another clearing...they stop in fear!

For before them stands a group of 4 Ogres, all about 10 feet tall, the vile and ugly creatures, misshapen skin of a grey colour, each carrying a wooden club in one hand, wearing what appears to be Wolf skin loin clothes, their cold black eyes staring straight at the transfixed party...

Stop there travellers! You may only pass if you can answer our questions 3!

1. What is our favourite colour
2. What is your quest
3. Why shouldn't we eat you?

The party has to decide...what will they do!

1. Answer the questions (everyone who chooses this option must do so seperately).
2. Try to run past the Ogres into the forest
3. Fight the Ogres!

Time will tell how our heroes fare!

1. "Green, like the forest trees."
2. "To seek the holy grail."
3. "There are many reasons. I would not taste good. There is not enough meat on me to be particularly filling. And if you don't eat me I will write songs about you. All of these reasons, equally valid."

Option One: Answer The Questions

Krill gagged as he finally waded out of the disgusting lake. His clothes, his perfectly styles hair, his dignity. It had all been destroyed when he was submerged in the mess. He now was wet, completely covered in the damn slime and was even forced to swim almost the entire lake, leaving him an exhausted mess.

He tried to wipe off as much slime he could as he walked, desperately trying to claw back any form of dignity. He noticed Nolon's confident stature and spitefully considered dragging him back to the lake to even the tables, but instead settled for glaring.

Seeing the ogres, he decided he would follow Nolon's lead, since he apparently was very good at making his way through this forest without getting messy. Krill wasn't going to let anything touch him again, his reputation and pride couldn't handle it.

"Brown," He muttered. "I'm trying to master my craft and spells; although right now I'd rather see a shower and a change of clothes. And you shouldn't eat me because I'm in a bad fucking mood and when that happens, my spells tend to be little explosive. SO if you tried eating me, I'm not quite sure what I'd do."

He wouldn't fight the ogres if he could avoid it, but the anger he felt would power up his spells.

Andarin finally snaps out of the daze he's been in since being hit by the whipped cream baloon. He looks back, wondering how on earth he made it past the slime lake, before shrugging and turning back. As his focus returns he realises he's being addressed by the four ogres.

Instinctively he readies his bow, preparing for battle, but then realises that Krill and Nolon are calmly answering the questions. "It's worth a try I suppose", he thinks, and joins in.

1. "Your favourite colour is probably grey, like your fine skin. Tell me, do you moisturise?"
2. "Our quest is, err, to find great riches we know to be hidden in this forest. We will be happy to share them with you on our way home."
3. "If you eat us, you'll never share in the riches we seek! Also, I'm very good with this bow, so I wouldn't try it if I were you."

Andarin puts on an air of confidence, hoping the ogres are as stupid as they look.

Out of character, I squirted a pile of whipped cream onto a paper plate this morning and splatted it onto my head. Simple and classic. :)

Well hey everybody. I say as i reach the shore on the opposite side of the lake after falling like a cannonball into it. Thankful to be alive I run and give griffin a big hug. Sorry if he got a little bit of my mess on him.... woops. As for these ogres i hop and skip my way up to them and tell them im lost and trying to find my way home, while doing my best puppy dog eyes. My favorite color is blue, i tell them, but not an ocean blue or a deep navy blue so much, more of a sky blue but not baby blue. You know what i mean? I also tell them they shouldnt eat me because im just a tiny slime covered elf. Not much to eat! Especially for the whole group.... hahaha. They’d be better off eating krill. Also my ice powers feel restored so im pretty sure i could take them out if i had to

My action is 2. Ogres aren't the smartest so I'll make small illusion of a lot bomb to distract them. I had a few other ideas about how to use an illusion, but I used a lot making the jumping one.

(To prevent me from spamming my illusions, although not really powerful, After this any illusions I make might be faulty until I rest up or I can be limited to x uses per day/hour. Up to dm. Maybe limit what I can create as an illusion?)

The Ogres glower at our party as they approach one by one to try the questions...

Nolon is the first to approach the group:

With a bold voice he answers:

1. "Green, like the forest trees."
2. "To seek the holy grail."
3. "There are many reasons. I would not taste good. There is not enough meat on me to be particularly filling. And if you don't eat me I will write songs about you. All of these reasons, equally valid."

The Ogres chuckle to themselves:

"That is not our favourite colour"
"There is no Holy Grail in this forest...though we do love Monty Python too, we watch it on TreeFlix"
"We do not like music, but we agree you are too skinny...right now"

They pick up Nolon and put him into a pen behind them and one starts to force feed him.

Forfeit - Next meal you eat must be done so without using your hands (Nolon)

Next up Krill takes his stand...albeit not too impressed with all this!

The Ogres look at one another and hit him over the head with a club!
"He did not pick our favourite colour, he will use no magic on us!"
They throw him into a black Cauldron filled with oil

Forfeit - Pour cooking oil over your head.

Andarin steps up, he wonders how he got here...evidently this forest magically moves people along it when they aren't paying attention to what's going on...it is a wonder ;)

With a bow half readied he approaches the band of monsters...

The Ogres mumble to themselves...and then turn to face Andarin...

"Nice try...we Ogres do moisturise...generally in the blood of those that dare to come here...but we prefer another colour to grey...we shall see this colour soon" They wink at each other and chuckle.
"We are simple Ogres who scorn earthly riches, we only need our bellies to be full, and your arrows do not scare us, our fine skin is solid as a rock"
He is picked up and thrown in the Cauldron...he does fire off an arrow...this bounces off the Ogres skin.

Forfeit - Oil for Andarin, over the head please (Andarin)

Next up is Shana...who we note gave Griffin a messy hug

Forfeit - slather some pudding over yourself (Griffin)

She confidently strides up to the Ogres:

"I'm so sorry Mr Ogre, but I am lost and not meant to be here, but my favourite colour is blue, but not an ocean blue or a deep navy blue so much, more of a sky blue but not baby blue. You know what i mean? you shouldn't eat me because I'm just a tiny slime covered elf. Not much to eat! Especially for the whole group.... hahaha." One hand behind her has her ice spell 'warming up'

The Ogres look a little confused...

"Little Elf, we wanted our favourite colour, not yours and you were wrong anyway! You may be lost...or maybe you try to trick us...we do not understand why you were looking at us in that strange way with your eyes...we are not attracted to little Elves...but you say one thing of truth, you are little...and I do not think you will get much bigger...however we do need toothpicks and your bones will work well for that..." The Ogre goes to grab her...Shana unleashes her magic spell to fight...freezing the Ogre in his tracks! The amount of power required however backfires and Shana is frozen too!

- Forfeit: Soak your underwear in water, place in the freezer for 20 minutes, then wear said underwear for at least 10 minutes

Using this moment of distraction to his advantage...Griff...a bit annoyed at Shana for getting him messy casts his illusion spell to make a bomb appear in the heart of the Ogres...they scatter! Explosions will ruin their moisturised skin!
After the Ogres have vanished he rescues the group, retrieving Nolon from the Pen, Krill and Andarin from the Cauldron...and picks up the chilly Shana and they rush past the scene and back into the Forest!

The group goes back through the Forest and come to a path that splits...To the left is a dark Cave, it has a large rock opening...bats are seem fluttering about going in and out of the Cave, this cave looks a little damp, as a slight stream seems to run through it.

To the right is a mountain path, this path twists and turns through icy peaks, they see the odd flurry of snow fall from the path, this way looks unstable...large birds can also be seen flying around the mountain top...

Which way does our group decide to travel?

Once I have two votes for the same direction the story will move on!

Krill was livid. Covered in now both the pink lake slime and whatever oil a ogre had, he no longer looked like the wealthy, high class wizard that he was. He looked pitiful, disgusting.

As they walked, and he tried to salvage his dignity again by stroking off as much oil as he could. He also tried to flick it towards Shana, who he would later talk to about the ‘Eat Krill instead’ comment.

He quickly decided which road he would prefer when he saw the choice.

“The cave.” He said, voice harsh. “I can light it up fine, so the dark’s not an issue The snow’ll make the path unsafe if we take the other, someone might fall and die.”

At least he cared for his party, unlike someone. The fact there was a stream in the cave, which would hopefully lead to a lake or waterfall of some kind Krill could and would use to clean himself off only had a slight baring on his decision.

[I managed to do my first forfeit. I couldn’t fidn any pudding, so made a mixture of custard and chocolate mouse and poured it over myself while wearing the shirt and trousers of a suit, so I feel like I’m ruining good clothes.]

Ooooooh. Their favorite color. Nolon thinks to himself about how he should pay more attention when being asked questions...too bad he doesn't have long to think about if before having scrambled eggs stuffed in his face. Though to be fair, this could have been a lot worse. He looks around at the others who got dumped into the cauldron or worse. "I actually agree with Krill." He says from the pen and wiping the remaining eggs from his face. "I think we should go to the cave. I don't like our chances in the cold."

So I just happened to be about to eat when I read my forfeit so my next meal was already in front of me. :P

So our heroes have decided on the Cave...

They march over to the entrance and Krill lights his fire spell, this cave looks deep...they hope this actually leads somewhere...a dead end here could be soul destroying...

While walking Krill tries to splash Shana with some of his excess oil, the nimble elf...who has now fully thawed from her frozen encounter nimbly darts out of the oils path and sticks her tongue out at Krill...Krill glowers...

Looking around it is a typical cave, a very small stream runs along the middle of the corridor, the walls are cold, rocky and glisten in the spell light, as they are slightly damp, there are stalagmites and stalactites as you would expect...

The group cautiously wanders inwards, they walk for quite a distance, with a definite slope to the cave which takes them in a downwards direction, after about 30 minutes, the narrow tunnel starts to open up and they find themselves in a small room...the room has just the entrance they came from and another tunnel at the opposite end, the only thing to make this room special is exactly what the team is drawn too...a cave painting, it shows various animals such as Tigers, Bears and Wolves, stick figures armed with what looks like spears...and most unusually a number of bats that are depicted defecating on the hunters...how odd...

Without anything more to this room the group moves onwards, this corridor is more straight rather than sloped...but other than that there is nothing to distinguish it from the previous path...they continue to follow onwards for another 20 minutes...how long does this cave go on for?

They start to hear some soft squeaking noises from the darkness ahead...they slow their approach and start creeping forward, soon the path opens up into a massive room! They see a number of different paths ahead, one goes straight forward, another goes upwards, and the final one goes up and down...all of the paths lead to the exit, the one that goes straight seems to go through a large pool in the centre of the room, this must be where the water accumulates...The path that goes up and down intersects this pool on the downward section...The ceiling seems to go up forever! Even their fire can't seem to illuminate it...

However before they really get to take all this in they soon realise where the squeaking has come from...there are thousands of large black bats settled here...but Krills fire has awoken them! They are now angry and heading straight towards the adventurers...they seem to be dropping a lot of Guano as they fly...and their claws look sharp...how do our team react?

FYI - Krill has been maintaining the fire spell so long he has no mana left to use magic!

Their options:

1. Run blindly through the swarm (expect to get hit with a lot of Gauno!)
2. Try to fight the creatures and make them retreat
3. Dive into the pool in the centre to evade them (prepare to get wet!)
4. Another creative and inspired idea to get through to the other side of this room!

Good look brave adventurers!

Nolon is not about to let these bats do... the gross things they were probably about to do. He shudders at the thought. He'd managed to stay mostly clean for so long. He thinks about his options. Was jumping into what he hoped was water the safer option? No. Enough of this. Nolon will not fear these bats. That's when it hits him. He could try to scare the bats or maybe confuse them. He stands firm and yells as loudly as he can and striking at the cave with his rapier, hoping it would either scare them or mess up their echolocation in some way.

Option Four - Try Another Tactic To Get Through

“Shit.”

This was bad. Not only were they about to get swarmed, but his damn magic was running out very quickly. He needed to act fast.

He quickly pulled out his original- and redundant, considering his new thorn sword - rapier from his belt. He used the blade to made a cut in his right sleeve, then tearing it off. The lower half of his right arm was now no longer protected and he was holding a large amount of fabric in his hand; his clothes were ruined anyway, he could at least put them to use.

He wrapped the fabric around his sword tightly. He then brought his small fireball, that would soon diminish because of his lack of mana, to the fabric. He hoped the fabric would set alight, turning his spare sword into a makeshift torch.

If it worked, he would try and ward off the bats using it, trying to help Nolan with his intimidation idea. If not, he'd get to the water as quickly as he could and leap in.

Being so tiny and small I decide to hop behind or even under our group as they prepare to fight the bats and their arial assault. At least i cant get hit down here! Perks of being small. Once the swarm passes i will reasses and attemp to move past. Maybe I can freeze a walkway over the water if the pond isnt to big for my limited abilities. Thanks big guys for the human shield

Griffin know his illusion won't work and a quarterstaff can only reach so far. While making noise could work swinging or banging his stick might damage it.

Seeing shana attempt to freeze the water he decides to follow/ see if anyone had dropped anything in the water that might be useful give us info about this mysterious person that's keeping/attacking us here

The adventurers have foregone the easy options and decided to try and tackle the Bats (very brave I'll add!)

Nolon had an idea...it was risky...but better than being pooped on by the bats!

He started screaming at the top of his lungs and banging the walls of the cave with his sword...funnily enough this was actually proving quite effective, the cave provided the perfect sounding chamber for the noises to echo throughout, the soundwaves bouncing about...this caused a lot of disorientation in the bats!

Meanwhile Krill was unleashing his own plans...ripping the sleeve of his already ruined garb he wound it around his rapier, trying to set the fabric alight with the last of his magic! - it worked! The mess it was soaked in was actually quite the catalyst (good job his fireball spell hadn't brushed with the rest of his outfit!)
Waving the flaming sword around managed to upset the bats that hadn't been disorientated by the noise of Nolon.

All the while Shana ducked behind the group...no Guano on her today! I'm sure she was secretly thinking, *let the boys have it, hehe*

Griffin however didn't want to damage his staff or try to help the group either...

Once the bats had retreated the group headed up the left hand high path, aiming to avoid the water all together! Nolon and Krill steamed ahead, making sure that they took this opportunity to make a dash for it before the creatures regrouped and came in for a second rush!

Shana picked herself up and was running a little behind them, with Griffin following closely behind her.

But what's this?! The bats regrouped quickly, out of desperation Krill threw his flaming sword into the heart of the swarm...however this merely deflected their path rather than scattering them as he planned! The sword coincidentally fell into the water below creating a ball of steam and a mighty splash!

They swerved to the left, right in between the two in front and the two behind cutting off their escape either to the front or back!

Shana had her backup option ready...she dived off the ledge and began her freezing spell to provide something to land on...Griffin had no choice but to follow her lead, no one wanted to face the guano! (can't blame them really).

Shana succeeded in creating her Ice platform and landed on it nimbly, she quickly went to create a path ahead across the water...however...Griffin managed to spoil her plan, the ice platform was certainly strong enough for Shana's nimble frame...but even though Griffin was not a large mage by any means...the moment his full weight landed onto the platform it shattered!
Both Shana and Griffin fell into the water below! (but at least the bats didn't follow!)

Forfeit - Fully clothed shower (Shana and Griffin)

They sank beneath the cave water, plunging deeply into it, Shana quickly recovered and swam to the service and gasped for air as her head popped up ...Griffin however wasn't quite as fast to recover...though while he was there he did spot Krill's Rapier...he went down to reach it...but what was this?...The rapier had actually loosened some dirt on the bottom of the water...revealing what looked like a precious Green Gem

- Reward: Griffin obtains mysterious Gem...this may come in useful later in the story ;)

After scooping up the Gem and the sword he swam back to the surface and followed a swift Shana across the water to reach the bank on the other side.

With no magic and a couple of wet companions, the group proceeded as quickly and carefully as they could to get away from those frightening bats!

Unluckily for the group it was a bit of an uphill route after the cavern...they were exhausted, weighed down by mess/water...this journey was taking it out of them and there was no sign of the situation relenting!...

But wait...they could see light ahead...could they be nearing the end of the tunnel already? What luck, maybe they could find some clearing or something to take a breather...but with their luck they would likely find some monster guarding the exit to this hole...

They got closer to the light...but this was odd, they couldn't see anything beyond the brightness yet, shouldn't there be some sky here by now?...

They were right upon the light and they could feel the air starting to warm up a little...and then they realised...this wasn't natural light, this was a torch set up ahead...*Gulp* what had lit that torch...what did they have to face next?

Suddenly they all began to feel very fatigued...none of them could lift their legs another step, their eyes were so heavy...what was happening?...they all collapsed and drifted off into a deep slumber...zzzzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzz

The group was awakened by an almighty gong! They were startled, shooting up and suddenly alert...their surroundings were a surprise!

They were all on comfy single beds, which were against a rock wall, the ceiling was domed above them, the room having a single entrance, there was an embroidered rug in the middle, tables, lamps...and what was this...they had new clothes! What was going on? Had they finally found a reward for all their troubles?! The scent of sweet cooking filled their nostrils, it smelled like a nice meat, Pork...or even Bacon! They started to salivate...they hadn't eaten for this entire adventure...stomachs started to rumble...Shana shyly hid her face...nimble and dainty Elves shouldn't make this kind of noise!

...and then 'It' entered, I say It...as the creature before them certainly wasn't human, it was human shaped...had hands and arms, legs...a Thorax! The groups gaze raised to see the head was like an insects...Shana stifled a noise of horror, this creature looked terrifying...

But then it spoke...the noise at first sounded like a high pitched clicking...but soon it transformed into what was a very whiny human like voice...

"Greetinnngs Travellleeers"...The group still in a bit of shock barely uttered a sound...

"Yoooou musst be tirrred annnd hunngryyyy, Pleeeaasse...follooow meee"
The group was cautious...but that food smelled good! They proceeded behind the strange creature...out of the room they followed it down a corridor, well lit, this place felt homely, fine silk carpets, tapestries...depicting some saga of a war adorned the walls of the stony corridor...the images showed a battle between these insect/human hybrids and...Humans...not a good sign, but this creature had given them rest, new clothes and they didn't feel threatened by it...

They were led to a grand oak dining table, adorned with all kinds of lovely foods, there was a roast Boar in the centre, bowls filled with fruits, Apples, Pears, Grapes...even Watermelon...there were also a lot of desserts on this table, Jellies, Puddings...Chocolate cake! This was incredible...virtually everything they could possibly have a craving for was there!

"Pleeeasse sit" The creature beckoned them to a row of chairs, the group sat either side of the table...and looked expectantly at their host, waiting for what he would say next...this situation was quite unexpected!

"Eaaat, goooorge on myyy morseeels"

The group quickly dug into the food, there was wine too and Beer...they were quite the group of greedy pigs, scoffing everything down that they could fit in their mouths, drinking frequently...they started to get drunk...the creature had left them to it...and couldn't be seen anymore, the group relaxed, they joked...they laughed...they started to get silly, all of this rich food and the alcohol went straight to their heads!

Shana playfully scooped a handful of pudding and threw it across the table...Griffin narrowly had time to deflect it with a spell...he glared at Shana...but then yelled "Food fight"...

How does the group fair playfully battling each other? Can any of them keep their new clothes clean? Why is the weird insect creature being so nice?...

Players...tell me what happens next!

Seeing as I am the one who started this fight, I scurry under the table to change up my location. Before going under i have the presence of mind to grab hold of that chocolate cake and some of the various fruits. My nimble build should make me harder to hit and make it easier for me to evade mess coming for me. While under the table i use my freezing abilities to spoil the fruits and make them mushy and soft. Krill doesn't really know how to act. On the one hand, he's wearing nice, clean clothes (that weren't as high quality as his previous, but they weren't exactly commoner clothes either). On the other hand, everything in the forest had been out to get them, why would this be different.

The more he ate and drank, the more he relaxed. He still kept glancing towards their 'host' suspiciously, but he didn't feel completely panicked. Just cautious, and ready to wield his sword if needed.

"For god's sake," He muttered when 'Food Fight' was yelled. "You're acting like kids." Hadn't they gotten messy enough today?

Despite himself, he made a promise that if even a speck of food landed on him, he would hold no prisoners and throw himself into the fight without hesitation. The alcohol probably lead to that decision. A custard desert nearby would be his initial weapon of choice, and after that, he'd use anything he could.

(Out of interest, has the mana replenished in the sleep. Just so I can be sure)

Nolon was pleasantly relieved to find that his plan had worked. He was half expecting to be covered in unpleasant mess for taking such a huge risk. He was surprised to see how far he'd come while avoiding getting too messy. Exhausted, sleep came with more relief. Refreshed, Nolon does not question his ew situation too much. He enjoys the meal, the fresh clothes, and the alcohol. He is grateful, if a little suspicious of their hosts motives. Oh well, whatever it was couldn't be that bad. As Shana and Griffin begin their usual antics, Nolon glares at them both. "I find myself agreeing with Krill once again. Think about where we are. Do you really want to make a mess of our generous host's home? I don't think they would appreciate that and I certainly don't want to make them upset." His jaw drops as Krill gets a personal introduction with a chocolate cake. Enough of this nonsense. Nolon refuses to get his hands dirty with this and crawls under the table hoping to make a clean getaway. He tries to crawl his way to the exit. Maybe he can talk to their host. Maybe they won't be too mad about his companion's behavior.

Krill freezes when chocolate cake is plastered all over his face. He takes a second before rubbing it from his eyes. He sees who's to blame (of course it’s her) and picks up the custard desert.

He tosses it towards her, not looking to see if it hits the mark. He then picks up two heavily forested cupcakes and looks for Nolan: retribution for staying dry for so long. When he sees Nolon gone, his eyes land on Griffin. A good enough target, so he goes to slam the cakes over his hair.

He really was drunk...

Refreshed and belly full upon hearing the words food fight Griffin creates an illusion of himself (50/50 shot of getting messy?) and then decides to throw out some syrup on the ground to slow down Shana and also tossing a few banana peels too.

Nolon sees the fruits, but pays them no mind. He doesn't want to take part in this and after making it this far today the only way he's getting messy is if someone else spots him trying to escape. Just after thinking that, he runs into Shana. He eyes her and the fruits suspiciously and continues on his way to the exit, doing his best to stay out of sight. After launching her opening Salvo Shana ducked under the table...grabbing a Chocolate Cake and some fruit...spoiling the fruit into a messy slush with her freezing powers...The rest of the group seemed apprehensive...tired of the mess they'd faced already (but hey this is gunge 'em dungeon after all!)...
Nolon went to powder, ducking low and looking for a way out...

Griffin too uses diversionary tactics...covering the floor with Syrup and Banana peels...however he isn't out of the woods yet...he sheepishly looks around seeing what must be the kitchen area...

Krill is blurry eyed when the call to fight comes...but he starts to come to attention! He looks at his options...calculating his moves...when suddenly Shana sneaks up on him with a Chocolate Cake right to the face!

- Forfeit: Pie covered with chocolate Sauce to the face (Krill)

He shakes his head, clearing the mess from his vision and goes for his weapon of choice, the custard pudding! He launches the bowl in Shana's direction, Shana dodges...but unexpectedly the bowl bounces off the wall before overturning in mid air...no elf can dodge that!

- Forfeit: Pudding over the head (Shana)

But Krill isn't done yet, grabbing some CupCakes he launches himself at Griffin after losing sight of Nolon and smooshes them in his hair...but the Cupcakes go right through...An Illusion!...In reality Griffin has snuck away to his 'Kitchen' area

Next thing you know Nolon and Shana are hiding under the table, Krill is stumbling around trying to find a target...

But Griffin is about to make a worrying discovery...for this kitchen area is not what he expected...it is a meat locker!...and scarily enough the hanging carcasses look very humanoid! His eyes widen in realisation and fear...this was a trap after all!

Before anything else could happen there was a high pitched buzzing sound, and at the entrances to the room there were suddenly more of these insect creatures...but these ones didn't look humanoid...not at all...They had wings, like those of a Dragonfly, the legs of a giant fly, and pincers instead of hands...the creature they had initially encountered...God, it was wearing the body of a previous victim to look more normal!

They began to advance towards the table not noticing that Griffin had snuck away to the 'Kitchen', the buzzing sound coming from their high velocity wing movements...it was almost deafening, our adventurers covered their ears in pain!

How will our adventurers escape this one?

1. Go to deadly mortal combat with their insect overlords?
2. Try to run and escape this vicious advance?
3. Use the food around them as weapons of mass-splatstruction?
4. Or can Griffin find something useful in the 'kitchen' that may aid their cause?

Nolon is fed up with the group's terrible luck. A trap laid by insect overlords? And they are blocking the only escape route. Still hiding under the table, Nolon gives Shana a glance and a smirk. He scoops up some of the rotten fruit, comes out from under the table, and chucks everything he can at the creatures. The world wants him to play dirty? He'll play dirty. Once he runs out of ammunition he will grab his rapier shouting "That is enough!" He alternates between trying to boost morale of Krill and Shana to bolster their magics and then readies himself to strike with his rapier if they manage to approach He didn't care anymore about staying clean. All he wanted was to get him and his companions out of this situation.

(Really its a combination of 1 and 3 but he'll stick to 1 if he has to, haphazardly picking up more things to throw.)

It was at this point, Krill snapped. The food fight was something he could handle, it was light hearted and relatively unimportant. But this, this was just too much.

Removing his hand from his ears, he pulled out his new sword and brandished it, seeing fruit fly across the room towards the creatures. He waited until Nolon started to bolster him before raising his free hand, bringing forth his magic to it.

He wasn’t sure if his magic was ready, but if it was then he'd create shields around him and his team if they needed protection and cast offensive spells when he could. If not, he'd show off his sword skills and try and kill the bugs. So far, he'd been safe (from everything but mess)but he could handle himself well in a fight.

I keep going, passing through a frozen hole in a thorn of walls, over the lake using my grapple ability to traverse the lake. I then sneak past some ogres and up through a narrow cave path.

Still not sure where the team is and how they got there so I'll skip this bit.

Option 1: Eventually I hear a commotion going on nearby. Is that the travelers? Wait what are those? Shit! One of the creatures spots me and launches itself at me. Normally I would take this opportunity to agilely get the upper hand but I don't seem to have any chance this time. I take aim and start relentlessly firing my crossbow at the creatures.

I've been stalking on this thread for a few days and wanted to write myself into the thread. I nearly went with a wizard and teleported to help but much preferred being an Elf. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Character Name: Samrael, known as Sam
Race: Elf
Weapon: Cross
Skill: Grapple - Sam fires a bolt with rope attached towards a surface, Sam and his party can then attempt to traverse or climb the rope however they see fit.

... start relentlessly firing my crossbow at the creatures.

Is your weapon a cross or crossbow?

I begin to follow the paths of the travelers, as I make my way into the woods I see an array of mess splattered everywhere I looked. What have I got myself into...

Also at the DM's discretion I'd say if you followed our path you might get pretty messy on your trip given the tree, swamp, orges, and bats are still back there. ;)

Anyway to the story at hand:
4. I'll see what I can find in the "kitchen" to help. Possibly our new adventurer? Since it seems like all civility has gone out the door can I poison the corpses so they won't kidnap other humans/die? (Mean, but ya know, monsters...)

If that's too much, then just looking in the "kitchen" for a solution is my plan.

This was the first time our heroes had little choice but to fight and they knew it!

Nolon and Krill launched themselves into action!

Nolon threw Rotten food at the monsters...which definitely slowed them down, especially when it landed over their bug eyes!
His sword however clanged off their exoskeletons...

But here Krill made an impact, his magic restored he launched some fire salvos at the creatures, forcing them to retreat, while he also shielded Nolon from some of the vicious swipes they made...keeping him at arms reach of death for now! But these two alone couldn't win this battle!

While this commotion was going on...Shana had had enough and used the distraction to slip out of harms way, this elf was out for herself in this adventure, that much was clear and just wanted to get away from the horrible creatures!
She ducked and dived, moving at such a speed she was barely noticed...slipping through the insect warriors and past them to make her escape from the scene!

Meanwhile Griffin was in the Kitchen...he had to end all of this, maybe not this moment...but for the future and found a box of poison tucked away (most likely used to kill off the humans before they were processed) and spread it over the corpses in this sorded abattoir! Looking around he tried to see if there was anything that could help the team...

The fighting was getting intense...the insect creatures initial surprise at the fightback had ended and they were beginning to push our heroes back!

All of a sudden there was a sharp thud and one of the creatures fell forward, a bolt through it's head!

From behind the creatures came running up a new adventurer Samrael!

He looked remarkably clean considering all the team had gone through! But no time for that insight!

He threw himself into the crowd of insects and began smashing his crossbow against their hides...managing to take them completely by surprise he quickly opened up a path and he was fighting side by side with Nolon and Krill!

The fighting was still heavy...and even with the bolstered support our heroes were struggling...until Griffin emerged...

He had found MAGICAL LANCE...this was being used to pick the bodies in the kitchen...but was actually quite a sacred weapon...with one thrust he split one of the creatures in two!

While the rest of the team managed to cut down the rest!

Our heroes had prevailed...but it was not time to celebrate, who knows when more of these things would show up!
They gave each other a pat on the back and grabbed what food they could before making a move...

They found a corridor leading upwards and were soon heading to rejoin Shana

Bloxo
08-24-2018, 05:12 PM
The corridor didn't go on for too long before our heroes seemed to reach a dead end...here they found Shana slumped against the wall, she was looking out of it...obviously this new dead end and all the escapades had broken her somewhat...

As angry as they were that she hadn't helped in the fight the team couldn't be mad at her right now, they did their best to comfort her, seeing how distraught she was...

But what do they do now? The Sudden dead end to this passageway was unusual...they couldn't go back now surely?!

It was then that Samrael introduced himself to the group...and explained how he had got through all the previous obstacles (obviously being alone helped him to sneak a lot!), the group warmly welcomed him, any extra help to get through this path of absolute horror and mess was more than useful!

Griffin however focused on the wall...he knew illusion magic well and he sensed something was up...then he spotted it...a small hexagonal hole...he took the green gem he had found and inserted it...the wall slid back...daylight broke through the crack...they were free!!

The team couldn't congratulate Griffin enough on his find and they all quickly pushed through to the outside world, the moment they were on the soft grass outside the door slid closed behind them, they looked around:

This was a clearing which was past the mountains, to their right they spotted the end of what must have been the mountain pathway they choose not to travel down. behind them and stretching off to the left was the mountain housing the cave structure they had just travelled through, the clearing had a few trees but was otherwise quiet...trees/bushes formed a wall around the rest of the clearing apart from a path up ahead...Taking a moment to prepare their weapons, secure their gear and to rest a little, the group started to move forward...hoping their journey was near it's end!

However...they only got a few steps before they heard what sounded like a great flapping above them...they raised their heads and couldn't believe it...

A Dragon!
It's body was massive, about the length of 4 people, the wings had an amazing span, with razor sharp claws on the end of it's legs...a long twisting neck housing a fearsome, angry looking head...long and narrow with jagged teeth...

Though this dragon was a bright green...nothing like the legends...

The great beast swooped down and let loose no fire...as you would expect from a Dragon...but a stream of Green Slime which strafed in front of our heroes!

How would our heroes fare this time?

1. Use trickery and skill to better this great beast?
2. Use all their magic and weapons to try and best it?
3. Run back to the mountain path and hope it took them around the dragon...but facing the snow and giant birdlike creatures? (also taking them on a massive detour)
4. Some other ingenious way of winning this encounter?

4. Some other ingenious way of winning this encounter?

This forest was insane. A dragon, they had to deal with a dragon in some way? Sure, they had an extra member of their team now, who seemed pretty good at fighting, but everyone knew dragons weren't an easy fight.

He had to be clever. It wasn't a fire breathing dragon, and that was an advantage. The worst that could happen was essentially being vomited on; he had enough magic to teleport a short distance away if it tried to eat him, his reflexes were quick enough for that.

"Try and sneak around it." He whispered to the group. "If this doesn't work, we need to try and fight it."

Krill slowly walked towards the dragon, boots sticking in the green slime. The dragon seemed to look at him, so he bowed deeply (ignoring the smell of the slime below him) before looking up.

"Greetings, higher being," He spoke loudly. "I am Krill Alodan. A noble traveller who is lost in your world. For trespassing, I beg forgiveness. For penance, if you allow me and my companions our lives, we shall promise not to reveal your existence to anyone.

"There will be people who will hunt your kind, and those people will find you if we do not return to our homes, so please be merciful. For all of our lives."

He just hoped the dragon believed him, and the rests of his team were using the distraction to try and get away from the dragon. If they got safe, he would drain his magic and teleport to his group.

Nolon was just about to step forward when Krill beat him to it. He had had a similar idea, but had not worked out how he would've managed to escape. He didn't need to be told twice. Staying clean and not dead were high on his priority list. Stepping through the thick, sticky, green sludge Nolon tries to sneak his way around the dragon, nearly losing a boot on the way. Good lord above the smell was horrid. It was really starting to make him nauseous. He momentarily debated using his skill to help Krill and stopped just in time as he realized why that would be a terrible idea right now.

I whisper to shana that if things go bad to try to freeze the dragons wings. It'd be slightly easier to fight him if he's grounded. I take either her or our new companion with me and sneak the opposite direction of Nolon to make sure we're not all together if slime starts flying and to be able to attack it on all sides if things go bad.

The Dragon looked puzzled...no one had had the bravery to try talking to it before...but likewise it feared no hunters...

Where Krill was trying to reason with it...it had other ideas...it whipped it's tail sending Krill flying...his emergency teleport plan backfired...he ended up landing in the puddle of green slime

Forfeit - Bathe in something green, pea soup perhaps (Krill)

Nolon just stared...a bit shocked that this plan hadn't worked...

While Shana and Griffin tried to sneak away...the Dragon was too fast for that...it flew quickly to block the exit they were heading too and bared it's sharp teeth at them...

The Dragon was getting bored...this prey wasn't even trying to put up a fight...poor prey, it advanced on Griffin and Shana...they retreated...ending up in the middle of the clearing with a stupefied Nolon and a messy Krill...

Our adventurers would have to work together to get past this foe...how will they fight this creature?

Nolon couldn't believe it. That plan didn't work. Now he was glad Krill tried it first. He was covered in slimy, smelly, green gunk. But now he was out of options. Surely his rapier would be useless against a dragon. And his magic couldn't.....wait.....if his magic could bolster his allies.....could he do the opposite? Could he demoralize his foes? It was kind of a hail mary, but it was still worth a shot and seemed reasonable enough. He stepped forward, hoping against all odds that even if it didn't work he would be able to distract the dragon for long enough that the party could work out some kind of attack plan. "Hey you! Vomit breath! What did you do? Eat some ogres that went bad? And I thought trolls smelled foul. I'd offer some mints but I'm fresh out, not that they would actually help." As he continued this line of commenting and snark, he really hoped this plan would work. If not he was about to really look foolish in addition to being useless in this fight.

Krill felt the gunk all over him. It smelled disgusting and was sticking to him, seeping through his clothes and drenching his thin body as well. His hair was ruined again, as was the new set of clothes he'd acquired, and he wore a glare under the slime.

"You shrimp-dick, jumped up little lizard bitch," He muttered.

He pulled out his thorn sword, ready to fight as best he could. He knew that it wasn't going to do much against the scales, so he'd aim for the eyes. He noticed Nolon insulting the creature, probably trying to get his magic to quell it's power in some way. Hopefully it would work.

"All I can think of is going for the eyes," Krill grunted, trying and failing to shake off the slime. "Anyone got any ideas?"

I tell Shana to do as I asked (to freeze the dragon's wings or feet to keep it grounded.)*

Seeing Samrael next to while Nolan tries to distract it, I think. I need to get high. I create a illusion double of Nolan. I desperately try to run across the ground between us, behind Krill who has brought out a mean looking sword. "I have an idea, but I need him still and distracted!"

I run towards Samrael who has been letting off a volley of arrows. He seems worried as even I know they'll just bounce off the dragons armored hide.

"Can you get me up there?" I point to a clump of branches in the air above the party and dragon.

"Yes, but what-"

"We don't have time, just make the shot."**

With Samrael's grappled arrow, I use my elven nimbleness to quickly climb up leaving my quarterstaff behind to lighten my load. From the top I see the battle unfolding, the roar of the dragon, my friends scrambling below. "Man I hope this works." I say as I drop my illusion to focus on the dragon's head. I pull out my magic lance, steady myself, and jump lance first towards the dragon knowing missing my target with be a very bad result.

* If Shana will not help I'd like to change my illusion to be in her direction.
** If Shana isn't helping I'd suggest Samrael to use his grapple rope or Krill an arched bridge to try to keep the dragon pinned. I'd have to climb the tree or stab it on the ground.

Keep it still and distracted? Krill could try and do that.

He knew his sword wouldn’t be able to do anything to the dragon - unless it had some hidden magic, but he doubted that - but that didn’t mean it was totally useless. He brandished his sword with as much gusto as he could, mindless swiping it around to make as much noise and movement as he could.

“Well, foul beast, you're actions will now lead to your death.” He yelled, raising the sword to the air. “Prepare yourself!”

He would continue to play the overly dramatic, ridiculous hero for as long as needed. He was making a fool out of himself and knew it. But as long as the dragon thought he was the biggest threat, it would hopefully pay attention to him and allow Griffin to do whatever he needed to. It wasn’t as if Krill had any dignity left, not after what his companions had seen happen to him.

So...our heroes have rallied around again...this is crunch time...will they make it? Will they get messy? Will they all be horribly killed?...Time to find out...

The Dragon was flying around and around, circling our adventurers...toying with his rather pathetic pray...but trying to make the most of this kill...after all...you need to make the most of life...

He would swoop down within inches of them just to scare them...he could swear he had the scent of human urine and faeces...he enjoyed seeing them scatter...pawns in his game of death and destruction!

But what was this...our heroes...in desperation were starting to rally! They knew they had to go something...or end up dragon food!

Nolon began to taunt the great beast...if dragons could laugh, this is what it would be doing...but he wasn't going to let this go unpunished...he swooped down to land in front of Nolon...however suddenly there were two of this whelp...what was happening?...staring at the little worms before him...the two were locked in a gaze of fear and hatred...the dragon let out a snort...sending yellow mucus flying from his nostrils over both of the annoying insects taunting him...

Forfeit - Custard over your head (Nolon)

However...the Dragon had made a fatal flaw...Shana used this moment of distraction to use her ice powers on the dragons wings! and it was successful...the Dragon couldn't fly...and was getting very angry now, thrashing about, it sent a huge plume of his slime breath out...Shana was coated from head to toe...yuck...

Forfeit - Give yourself a Pea Soup shower (Shana)

Krill took his chance and launched himself at the beast...his mighty Thorn sword held aloft, adding to Nolon's taunts and determined to escape this magnificent beast he wailed on the creature, aiming for it's eyes...Success! The Dragon was blinded! It let out a mighty roar and tried in vain to swipe at Krill...but the plucky young sorcerer could easily teleport out of it's reach this time...

Griffin's turn...snatching a rather petrified Samrael's crossbow, he launched himself into the air with with the grapple...and this despite numerous laws of physics actually worked! He shot up into the air, drew his mighty lance and landed spear first into the Dragons neck...

The Dragon slumped to the ground...dead...our heroes were victorious!

But what's this...inspecting the creature they were able to pry some of it's solid scales free...and found that it was clutching some Gold Trinkets in one of it's claws!

Reward - Krill took the scales and attached them to his garb...Krill earns Scale Armour! This can be used to escape one messy punishment! however the Thorn sword is broken now

Reward - Griffin gets Golden Chalice! This can be used to transfer one messy punishment to another player

Satisfied they have everything the Dragon had to offer our group continues onwards...

Is it crazy...or is the forest starting to get darker and darker as they descend ever deeper into it?

Our crew is tired after the epic Dragon battle, so go a little more slowly this time, they find another clearing and decide to start a fire and reheat some of the food they took from the Insectoids in the caverns...

A small stream nearby allows them to wash their messy garb...Shana has to be discrete as her nimble elf like form is too much of an attraction for any mortal male...they would stare constantly if they saw her undressing...

Seeing the group looking worn and disheartened Nolon begins a song and the others join in, bringing their spirits up a tad...and allowing Shana the distraction she needed to slip away and wash her silky garments...

An hour of so passed and the group was lost in their merriment, this was just the distraction they needed!

however...this forest is seldom forgiving!

The flicker of the flame and the bellowing of the music attracted some unwanted attention...the group heard an oinking sound...and saw a piglike creature rushing towards them! Out of pure instinct, Samrael let off a crossbow bolt hitting the creature right on the underbelly...it exploded! Showering the area around it with stick goo...

However this wasn't the only one...soon a whole herd was charging our heroes!

How would they fight off this onslaught of exploding pigs?
Can they escape without getting splattered?

Pick your actions and let's see what happens!

Ew. Ew. Ew. Grosss. This slime was just as bad if not worse than the vomit. He should have seen this coming though. He did just taunt the dragon. At least it distracted him enough for the others to do something and actually deal woth the threat. Was this what the other had been going through? This was terrible. It was thick, warm, and covered his whole body. Not to mention that it was soaking through his clothes. He was grateful when they found a stream to wash off in. It lifted his spirits enough to play for the others. Being clean again was refreshing.

Wait what? Exploding pigs? That wasn't good. How were they going to get past them. Nolon had had enough of trying to be brave. He ran off away from the pigs to climb a tree where he would be safe and clean. He could cheer on the others from up there.

The fight could have been worse. They’d all lived, he hadn’t been the only one who got messy, and he'd got armour. Sure, he's lost his only weapon and had to rely on magic, but he had fighting spells so could defend himself without trouble.

Plus, the group seemed so preoccupied with protecting Shana's modesty as she bathed, they didn’t notice the glances Krill kept taking of Nolan as the two cleaned closeby.

To his knowledge, they also didn’t notice the stirring between his legs these glances caused.

But the respite was shortlived and the forest sent a new test. Exploding pigs, filled with slime. Krill took to his feet and prepared his magic, using a new spell. With the same energy of his shield, he began to make sharp spikes that would kill the pigs with ease.

Compared to the dragon, this would be an easy and mess free encounter.

As the pigs charged our heroes sprung to action...starting with the form of Nolon hiding in the nearest tree...

Griffin decided that baiting the creatures would slow them down and threw some food in their path...they were pigs after all, this seemed logical...this distracted a couple of them...but not for long...

Krills new spell worked wonders, the mystical sparks popped quite a few of them...but this heard was rather large...it was going to take more than that...

Griffins lance again popped a few at a distance...but this did little to slow them down...they just kept on coming!

Shana however had an ingenious idea...emerging from the lake, freshly clean...if a little damp...she began to dance hypnotically...this indeed caught the pigs attention...hypnotising them somewhat...this action managed to divert the course of their charge...straight into the trunk of the tree that Nolon had climbed...one by one they exploded against the trunk...each one getting a little higher...eventually so many of them had crashed into the tree that even Nolon's elevated position wasn't safe from the splatter...

Forfeit - If you can, make some messy balloons, I'm sure you can get some tips online...fill your shirt with these and pop them (Nolon)

Our heroes were once again out of immediate danger...they decided not to dally for long and headed back into the forest...

The groups travels took them to a rather large hill...

They decided to climb this and survey the area, hoping for some idea of the layout of this forest...

When they got to the top, Krill launched a flare spell into the sky to light up the area so they could get a better look in the near eternal darkness that permeated...

They could see lots of Trees (naturally), more lakes and streams of various colours, but what interested them most was a large Castle in the distance...it's large and imposing towers seemed to be the natural home of whatever controlled these dark lands...but of course, this was some distance away...ultimately with some kind of end in sight the group was a little motivated...

But other than the castle, their view had been blocked by the dense canopy...and little more was revealed about the obstacles they still had to face on their journey...

About to head back down the hill, our party discovered much to their dismay that they were now surrounded...a small army had gathered, these were well armoured from head to toe in sheet metal, as weapons they seemed to brandish large wooden paddles and sling shots...

The army was locked in formation completely surrounding the hill...they let loose a volley from the slingshots...the ground in front of our travellers was now peppered in various messy substances...

How would our heroes fight their way through this army? Where had this army come from? Would our adventurers end up paddled sore and splattered with Mess?

Choose your actions and we shall see what befalls you ;)

There were far too many to fight. Krill's magic needed time to recharge, and there was only so much hand-to-hand weapons and bows could do against a small army. The wizard knew that there would be no point in trying to win against them, so he began to think about what they could do.

"Maybe we should surrender?" He whispered. "Their weapons aren't there to kill us, and maybe they'll take us to the castle. Sooner we get there, the sooner we leave this place right?"

He knew it was a flawed plan. For all he knew, they had nothing to do with the castle, or they wouldn't accept a surrender, but it was worth a try.

"I mean, if any of you has a better idea, please say. If we can avoid being at an army’s mercy, that’d be great. But I can’t think of anything else we could do.”

These knights are quite non-descript...

you can see the colour under their armour is black...

The metal plate isn't impenetrable, quite a few holes for arrows for example...

They don't have shields as such, in total there are around 40 of the knights...they are a little shorter than the average person too...

There is a distinct leader who everyone listens too, he is a little taller, has a red dragon em-blazed on his helmet, seems to be quite worshipped by the group...they talk in an unfamiliar language

Are they Dwarves? I mutter to Krill. Best not let the Shana, Samrael, or I do the talking. Elves have bad blood with dwarves. The way I see it we have Very few options.

One, we could see if they speak our language, figure out what's their intent is and try to talk or surrender if hostile.
Two, we could have someone do a trial by combat and challenge the leader one on one. Samrael might be the best shot with his arrows and elven speed against their armor. Thinking over what Griffin had said, Krill crosses his arms. They squelch a little, thanks to Nolon's unwarranted hug. The little bastard wanted to get him messy, and it had worked fairly well. He'd also been left blushing for a little while after, which may have also been intentional.

"I don't know if illusions are the best choice. For all we know they're trained to see through them," Krill sighed. "The trial by combat idea isn't bad, but it could backfire. If they disagree, that pretty much removes our option of surrendering."

The wizard watched as the army slowly begun to reload their messy weapons. He doubted they would miss again.

"We need to chose fast. I'm happy to try and talk to them, I know a few languages, maybe theirs too. But we need to decide." Krill muttered. "I vote we attempt a surrender."

Fine. Talk with them first, then surrender if necessary.
If we can help them with an issue or barter, I'd like that better though. No need to roll over when words can get the job done over this misunderstanding.

“That seems like it could go well,” Krill nods at the idea. “IF you’re sure you want to take the risk.”

Krill's hesitance about challenging them to a fight was that he wasn’t sure if anyone would be happy to try it. His magic was nearly gone still, Nolon wasn’t the best fighter and he wasn’t sure what the rest of the party would think. If Shana was happy doing it, Krill wasn’t going to stop her.

The group walks forward...Nolon and Griffin fall to their knees and beg for surrender...they are instantly pelted by the slings of knights...

Forfeit - Time to squirt some ketchup and mustard over yourselves! (Nolon and Griffin)

Shana seeing this and about to try and talk to the leader...decides they aren't going to listen here...She uses her Ice magic and freezes the leader solid...he falls back...his armour shattering in the process...leaving him in a red skintight undersuit...Shana giggles...

Krill takes his chance and bursts out a small portion of flame...The Knights scatter seeing their leader defeated.

Shana looks down at the frozen leader...what's this? She sees a pouch he's dropped to the ground, she picks it up and looks inside:

Reward - A magical key and a blue gem, the key can open any locked door, the gem can displace any messy forfeit onto someone else

Krill also looks down...what's this?

Reward - Krill picks up a shiny new sword!

Shana looks at her new trinkets...and realises there is also a note inside the bag

"Bring me the heads of those pesky trouble makers, meet me in the purple cove"

A clue of the dark ones intentions...could our heroes use this opportunity to confront him ahead of the castle?

A possible end in sight, the crew journeys onwards once more...they cross a rickety bridge over a slimy river...pass over some rocky hills and reach a dark...purple area...

All seems quiet, but remembering the note...they decide to approach cautiously...

This area is purple because of a rather large tree with purple leaves in the centre...

Around the sides of the area are some bushes and a few rocks, even a few hollowed out trees...looks like lightning may strike here regularly...

Suddenly they can hear movement coming from the other side of the cove...

What will our heroes do?

a). Hide
b). Confront and attack
c). Stand and wait
d). Go all out magic crazy!

C: Stand and Wait

Krill looked towards Nolon and Griffin as he walked. He felt slightly smug that Nolon, after his messy hug, had been hit by the army's gunk. He did feel guilty about Griffin; he had posed the option of surrendering and Griffin had suffered for it.

"My apologies. This," He gestured to the mess on Griffin. "Was my fault. If needed, the next time we encounter something, you can use me as a... shield, as an act of retribution."

The idea of being Griffin's shield for mess wasn't exactly something Krill wanted. But the group needed to work together and having animosity towards each other wasn't good, so hopefully this would help. Even if Krill's dignity was hit slightly.

As he hears movements from the other side of the cove, he carefully brandishes his sword and waits. He wont make a move yet, but will readily defend himself if something attacks them.

That plan didn't work either. Oof. Nolon was starting to doubt his ability to make decisions. He had done so well before, but now he was failing spectacularly. Covered in goo from head to toe, he could feel the heat rising in his face. His embarrassment. His shame. When they began to hear sounds from the other side of the cove, Nolon decided that his decision was to not make a decision. He would stand and wait until he could accurately assess the situation. If they had to fight, he would fight. If they had to hide, he would hide. But for now not doing anything seemed like the way to go.

I appreciate Krill's offer and keep it in mind as we get to the give. I eye the tree causionly as it may not be as big, but still could be alive.

Seeing a dwarf come out running I chuckle at his magic. I whisper to hide or fight as I pull out my quarterstaff. The sound of movement was really hard to discern...at times it felt like an army shaking the ground, at other points little bells jangling...at one point it even sounded like a marching band...what was going on?

Our heroes had opted to stand and fight for the most part, the Nolon was just standing there...Griffin moved some rocks to form a barrier...Shana standing there with some frozen snowballs she had concocted, they were taking a stand...

Then out of nowhere a Dwarf appears...was this the source of the sound they were hearing? He stands there brandishing his axe...but then the sounds start again...he quickly falls in line with the other adventurers...he uses some weird Elephant call which he hopes will shake the unseen noises into the open...

They could see some slight movement in the bushes...and out pops a...Cat...it had a bell around it's collar which explained one of the noises...Upon seeing our heroes it quickly bolted back into the bush...how strange...

All goes quiet for a moment...a scary and ominous silence...and then it began...Arrows flew across the sky...blacking out what little light was penetrating this deeply into the forest...though our heroes soon discovered these weren't normal arrows...as they landed to the ground they exploded covering them all in some sticky syrup...they were all frozen in the ooze...unable to move a muscle...

Forfeit - Syrup over the head (Everyone!)

The ground started to shake and then they saw it...if their eyes could widen they would...an army, 10 times the size of the one that surrounded them on the hill swarmed into the area, wearing the same metal plating, with Red undercoverings beneath...this one had banners with an image of a Red Sickle on a black background...there were war drummers, there were mounted cavalry...and after all this had burst into the purple cove...there was a very large man (at least you would guess it was a man) 7ft tall, dressed in black armour from head to toe, it's face concealed by an ominous black helmet, it had a large sword strapped to it's back...It slowly walked between the forces which spread apart forming a procession line...it stopped in front of our heroes, waved it's arm to one side...magically sending the rocks Griffin had placed flying to the edges to the area...

SO WE FINALLY MEET...I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW FOOLISH YOU PATHETIC BEINGS ARE...DID YOU REALLY THINK YOUR SMALL BAND COULD STAND UP TO MY MIGHT, MY ARMY...MY DOMINION! TAKE THEM AWAY...

It had been a few days now since the encounter...after this Dark One had ordered his forces, the adventurers heads were covered and they were carried away, the journey seemed to have gone on for days...though who could tell the passage of time here?

They were all locked down in some pit...shackled to the wall, left to rot...they were so hungry, were they just going to be left to die here? Their adventure ended?
Why didn't they hide...when they had the energy to squabble they had argued with each other repeatedly...surely with the note they had taken from the fallen leader they knew the master of this forest would be coming to that cove...they had underestimated his power indeed, even beating him on his own would be difficult...but an army! They would have to be sneakier if they got out of this situation alive...
That Cat...they debated this and figured it must have been some kind of scout, leading the way to report of potential danger...these foes were clever indeed...

After days of silence, no living contact other than themselves they suddenly heard something...it was scurrying...scratching...and then it emerged...a small rodent...but where did it come from? This deep pit had no noticeable entrance other than the sky above...but saying that how did they even get here?
They watched the rodent intently for any clue of escape...it ran off once it saw our heroes...but they could see where it went...some sort of hole must have been there in the wall, in the darkness they couldn't see it...but it must be a clue surely...

Even though shackled...weak...near death almost...Krill managed a small fire spell to light the room...in the brief moment the flame flickered, concentrating on the area that the mouse had appeared they saw a vertical crevice in the wall...perhaps some kind of doorway?

There was a rumble beneath them, they had assumed this was some kind of underground stream...but this noise seemed to fluctuate...even move sometimes...perhaps rising and falling...some kind of tide maybe? Coming and going...

That brief moment of light...Griffin suddenly remembered it caught on a glint of something shiny...a tool perhaps? Dropped by one of their assailants?

What were our heroes to do?

Could they use some magic to escape their bonds?

Even if they did escape...would they try this possible doorway...noting the strange rumbling sound...could they climb out of this pit? Was there anything else they could do to escape this wretched place?

Krill closed his eyes and tried to activate his magic, desperately trying to teleport. He knew it was futile, his magic was slowly drained away by the lack of food and proper rest, he was shocked he could even cast the fire spell for as long as he could. It had drained almost completely now.

But, now he knew there was a way out, he was more determined to get from the chains. They'd need to do it fast, if their previous luck was anything to go by, the tide they could hear would eventually start filling the pit they were trapped in.

He thought through all the ways he could escape. They all relied on magic, and he only had enough to make a small fire last for a few moments. Still, he needed to work with what he had.

"Shana, do you have any magic left?" He asked, looking to where he remembered she was, "If you freeze a specific part of the chain, I could heat it up. The sudden change in temperature could cause it to crack and break?"

He knew it was a long shot, it almost definitely wouldn't work. But the group deserved some damn good-luck, and it was the only thing he could think of doing. It was worth suggesting if nothing else.

Krill is a pretty basic, human wizard. So can make shields, small balls of fire he can control, and can teleport short distances. He’s quite limited by if he has enough magic energy; which is why he can’t teleport now. He also currently has a sword and suit of dragon armour, unless they were taken away.

But, it was either that or go through the door and face whatever the source of the sound was. Probably some tidal wave of gunk and slime, but he'd been through a lot of that today and Krill didn't particularly have to clean himself again. If it's liquid behind the door I'd suggest opening it right before/as it "withdraws". Hopefully you'll be able to get someplace safe before it comes back.

Meanwhile I'm going to climb. I look at the wall and the chains. I'll try to use our broken chains pieces (if not too heavy) as pitons to plant and grab on. Also if the chain is also light and long enough use that as an anchor rope. I know there's a nice crack to wedge some of it in there. Elves are good at climbing anyway. (I make sure watch for the rat just in case)

(The way I understand it, if something does pour into the room and I can't make it up in time, I could just float as it fills up the Pit. Not the best option, but better than getting a face full if it sprays from the door)

Griffin although week, uses the last of his strength to put Icarus back on track...

The two manage to climb out of the pit and find themselves in a small courtyard in what appears to be a tiny village, a few huts dotted around them...

Krill, Shana and Nolon didn't like the idea of the climb and wanted to try the door...individually they faced great trouble getting it to budge...but as they work together...and used a little leverage the door swung open! But also behind the door was a torrent of water...the room soon filled and then the backwash dragged the party along a rushing stream...as they flailed hopelessly they found themselves dragged out into a cave and they flowed right to it's entrance where the was an earthen bank for them to crawl out onto...

There was a fire and some beds in another hut, so they could dry off and rest

The first obstacle was a narrow path across a pit of mud...swinging back and forth over the pit was a pendulum of sorts threatening to knock whoever crossed this path in to the pit!

The second obstacle were some stepping stones over a bubbling pit of slime, the hero would have to jump from stone to stone...and not slip...also avoiding the popping bubbles which exploded with a shower of mess

The third obstacle was a wall...this had ropes that could be used to traverse it...but the wall was coated in a slippery oil...so climbing this would be hard and treacherous...any fall would result in a painful landing as well as an oily finish...

He did kind of eat a pie, and took one to his crotch, and fell backwards onto one. The pie covered the embarrassment on his face. Shana obviously was amused. Nolon figured there were worse things than being pied and it did seem to at least put one of them in a better mood. At this point Nolon wasn't trying that hard to stay clean and he was amused to see how many of the group had suffered the same fate for blindly following him through a door. Especially Krill. HE wiped the pie from his face so he could see and when it came time to pick an obstacle he knew which one he would have to take. He was not strong enough for the ropes and he really wanted to avoid the mud, so he went for the conveniently placed rocks in the slime pool. He would make sure to cheer on each individual person first, giving therm the best chance they could have at success and taking on his own trial last.

(Decided to add an extra little forfeit, sitting on a pie, because I so seldom do anything with pies and figured why not.)

Im still trying to get hang of these roleplay forums. Ive altered me sketch.

Icarus saw the funny side and immediately couldn't stop himself from laughing at his own mis fortune as well as the others.
He walks down the narrow path and carefully makes his way avoiding obsticles when he lost concentration.

I don't want climb again, so I decide to use my quarterstaff as a balance pole to cross the narrow path and avoid the swinging pendulums.

Our heroes took a deep breath and made their choices...

Krill was first up...he elected to navigate the narrow path over the mud...the path was not the easiest to keep balance...but his magic did him proud...for the couple of times he stumbled he was able to balance himself with his force shields, he makes it across safely!

Nolon meanwhile decided that he wanted to try his luck at the rocks across the slime pool...but while he was able to bolster his allies luck/skill...he was not so lucky, stumbling at the third rock he ended up slipping and landing in the slime

Forfeit - Slime bath...make some slime, or use some equivalent material and roll around in the bath (Nolon)

Icarus decided to try the narrow path as Krill had...bolstered by Nolon's magic he was doing rather well...but no amount of magic can protect you from tripping over your own feet and then being struck by a giant pendulum! He tumbles into the mud and swims across to the end

Forfeit - Next large mud puddle you see...you need to 'accidentally trip into it' (Icarus)

Shana was next up, laughing loudly at the state of her companions she wasn't too concerned with this obstacle...her Elfen frame boosted by Nolon's magic made it across the rocks easily...and her confidence turned into arrogance...she started somersaulting between the rocks...and although she didn't slip...a slime bubble managed to pop right over her while her back was turned to it!

Forfeit - Something slimy must go over your head and down your back...pudding should work (Shana)

Last up was Icarus...seeing all the obstacles taking a victim he decided to play this one as safely as he could...using his staff to balance like a tightrope walker...also boosted by Nolon's magic he managed to make it across the mud...narrowly missing the pendulums on his way!

Our heroes across...no matter their various states...they now got to proceed on their journey...the castle gradually coming into sight now on the horizon!

The group continued onward...learning from previous perils they were cautious, avoiding noise and being mindful of their surroundings...

They did well to avoid a number of guard patrols...this must be the problem with getting close to the castle, though one patrol with sniffer hounds had them running through the forest like crazy...Shana managed to create an ice wall that blocked their path, but they made good speed towards to castle...

Passing one particularly large stretch of bush they had reached their goal!

Before them stood large towering stone walls, this had crenellations across the top where they could see archers and watch towers interspersed...at the base of the walls was a large moat...there was a single pathway across this in the form of a drawbridge but this was heavily guarded...

Scouting around and looking for a way in...they did see a drainage gate past the moat...but they had no distinct way to cross...

There were a number of dead trees nearby though...could they help?

Maybe also they could construct a ladder to scale the wall...

How would our heroes sneak into the castle?!

Nolon, dripping with slime, had given up on staying clean. Surviving was more important. The trees gave him a couple of ideas. "I think those trees could be of use. Maybe if we made shields out of the bark we could get through without being hit by the archers. Or if we wanted to create some kind of diversion we could set them on fire. What do you guys think?"

SmashNSplat

"I'd say making a distraction would be the best. If we scale the wall or get shot at, we'll be the centre of attention and there's a pretty high chance we'll go back to the jail well."

He looked towards the trees that were around the grounds of the castle. They were all dry and probably flammable. And if he had enough magic to cast the shields he had used to get across the pathway without falling in, he should be able to cast a fire spell big enough to make a pretty big blaze.

"If we do that, we need to figure out how to use the distraction. I'd say use the drainage grate, the min entrance is too heavily guarded."

[Just so you know, on the forfeit post you mentioned Icarus twice and didn't say anything about Griffin]

"Good, so we're thinking along the same lines once again." Nolon said as he wrung slime out of his shirt and wiped pie from his crotch and rear. "Anyone have any other ideas? I just want to explore all of our options. But I believe this is the course of action most likely to succeed."

Look, we’ve established im afraid of heights. Im going to freeze a path accross the moat over to that drain. We can cross 1 at a time to avoid it cracking. Anyone who wants to try to scale a wall with some broken twigs can go right ahead but i will not be joining them

Sounds like the current plan is distract the guards by setting the trees on fire and then freezing a path along the moat so we can reach the drain, crossing one at a time. I like this plan.

As much as I love the plan we have laid out, I don't trust ice spell espically since she's used it on our way here or if something tries to break up through the ice.

I plan on using my illusion spell to copy the armor of the guards. Once the fire is started and they are distracted I can blend in during the chaos and help/go inside to "get more guards to assist". Since I don't want to burn all my magic I'll find any clothing room and slip into an actual outfit. To blend in I will had over my quarterstaff to the party.

In a castle this big they shouldn't know every single guards face.
I'll let my group know what I'm doing and will work out a system for them to recognize me/won't attack if we meet. This also assures us that if they get caught I can hopefully free them.

They follow their own plan and walk across the frozen river to the drainage entrance.

I don't think I could make illusions for everyone. At best we might be able to pretend to be two guards and take the others as "prisoners", but I though that they'd follow their plan and I would follow mine.

Also I'd suggest not chopping for wood, dead or otherwise, as good as your intentions are. I'd suspect they'd be able to hear the ax/breaking of the trees.

So our party splits into two...interesting...

Krill uses his fire spell to get some trees ablaze, Shana, Nolon and Icarus then fan the flames to spread the fire, soon there is a roaring inferno spreading along the tree line!!

An alarm is sounded from the towers at the castle and our heroes hide as guards spill out carrying buckets of water to tackle the raging fire...why aren't they using the moat water?...

When enough guards are milling about, Griffin casts his illusion spell and slips in with a group heading back for more water...once inside the main courtyard pass the main entrance he starts to scout around...every time he sees a guard he tells them to help with the fire...they all follow his instruction blindly...but his magic is starting to weaken...luckily he finds a barracks, he slips in and changes into a guard uniform...

Meanwhile...Shana, Nolon, Krill and Icarus creep slowly away from the hectic scene and around the side of the castle, once out of sight of the fire and the guards fighting it, they peer up to see the walls bereft of guards...they must have gone to help...the drainage gate only a short distance across the moat...they get to work...

Shana uses her ice magic and creates a path, she stays behind at first to sustain it while the others cross...

First Icarus (covered in bark for some reason) rushes head long in a frenzy...skids across the ice...but lands safely on the other side...just away from the moat water

Krill insists Nolon go next so he will be safe...Nolon is a little unsteady and crawls across the ice, the group encourage him to go faster...movement can be seen under the moat water...what is happening...
He is near the end when a tentacle appears from the water...it swipes at him...narrowly misses...Nolon Panics and rushes across...slipping and skidding across the ice head first...luckily Icarus catches him before his head slams into the wall!

Krill and Shana decide to travel together...if this new threat breaks the ice they will be stuck, as Shana only had enough magic to make the one bridge...they take a run for it...the unknown beast though is ready this time and slaps a tentacle across the ice...smacking Shana and Krill firmly...they are knocked to the ice floor...cracks start to appear...they scramble to their feet and rush again...only for the tentacles to re-emerge...they try to dodge...but can't quite make it...they are knocked off their feet once more...and this time...the already damaged ice gives way...and they fall into the sludge...

In the oily, sludgy water...they are assailed by tentacles again...Shana manages to launch an ice torpedo or sorts, while Krill uses the Quarterstaff Griffin left behind to fend back the creature beneath...it retreats and the two heroes swim over to the drainage gate to join Icarus and Nolon...now we know why they guards stayed clear of the moat!

Forfeit - Cover yourselves in oil, take a total of 50 spanks, distributed over chest, privates and ass (Shana and Krill)

Though battered, bruised or shaken...the adventurers travel into the drainage gate and into the castle sewers...

Bloxo

After some time the guards are winning the battle against the flames in the trees...more and more start to travel back into the castle to resume normal duties.

Griffin takes some time to explore...this Castle was actually a lot more than that...it was like a small village surrounded by the great walls, he walked along cobbled streets in his armour, he could see villagers tending to animals in pens, he could see shops selling bread and cheeses, there was a small tavern where the guards would wile their time away with gambling and drinking...

All of this life, hustle and bustle was milling around a central tall tower, rather scary and imposing...it shot up like it had sprouted from the ground...jagged and deadly, piercing the sky...
This too had a large gate...with very little traffic, stern guards stood at the entrance...no one seemed to get in there without being stopped and having ti show papers...

Aside from this tower...everything seemed quite relaxed, Griffin was not looked at at all, as long as he looked like he was marching somewhere...how would he spend his time before the others were found?

Meanwhile...the group below had walked through the sewers, there was a path either side of a sludgy stream down the tunnel they proceeded, Krill had lit a small torch for them to see ahead, luckily for them the route was quite straight...they just followed it...hoping that it would lead them to a ladder or something...anything to get away from the stench that infested this place...

They finally hit a crossroads underground...from what they could see...

Left - there was a light at the end of this tunnel in the distance...a flickering like torch light...it seemed to be gradually moving towards them...

Right - This was utter darkness...but they could hear strange squelching sounds echoing around the walls

Ahead - This seemed to be a large room, watery floor...a series of gears and platforms like an old steampunk RPG game...something was causing ripples to appear on the surface of the water...

Which way would our heroes go?

Would they stick together or split up?

What perils may await them down each path?!

Nolon didn't know what lay down each path, but he wasn't about to risk being captured again. "You guys go whichever way you want, but I'm going down the path to the right. Also Krill...thanks...and don't use your fire while you're still covered in oil."

He looked back towards Nolon before leaving. "Stay safe."

After travelling together all this time our heroes were now virtually all spread out...will this work to their advantage...or will this be the end of them?

Griffin decided to try and learn some more about the tower...
Starting at the food stall he started to quiz the tender...pretending he was new on the force, all he learned was that the tower received regular payments for it's upkeep in the name of defence of the kingdom, the soldiers would take food contributions from him to be delivered for the overlord.

Trying the tavern, he had to be a bit more cautious talking to the other soldiers...but here his drinking skills came in handy, he got into a shot drinking contest and a soldier started moaning about his time in the tower, complaining about a draft that came from a lose window pane on the first floor, where he was often stationed...

Griffin continued trying to find out more and ended up in a game of poker...this would prove to be a mistake, his keen elf mind calculated the cards too well...he kept winning or folding at the right moments and the guards accused him of cheating...a brawl broke out and beer flew everywhere...as the brawl spread through the tavern Griffin sneaked away...

Forfeit - Pour a can of beer over your head (Griffin)

Nolon took the right hand path...as he walked the odd squelching sounds gre louder...and before long he was surrounded by slime monsters...he tried to run past them, dodging quite a few...but he couldn't avoid them entirely and got splatted as he tried to escape...

Forfeit - Lotion over the head (Nolon)

Shana too decided to go her own way and walked down the tunnel with the flickering lights...as she got closer she heard footsteps...it was guards patrolling the sewers!
When they got closer they began charging and yelling at the sight of her, she tried to play dumb...but the guards were dumber and only had one order...deal with anyone that trespasses in the sewers...
She is thrown down into the sewer water, beaten and tied up...dragged away by the guards

Forfeit - Clothed shower, then apply self bondage and stay tied up for at least 20 minutes, legs and arms should be tied

Krill and Icarus went together into the steampunk room...this was a rather complicated room with a lot of moving parts, they looked up and could see a door at the very top...they climbed stairs...spun around on cogs to reach other platforms...and ended up where they started...this room was a maze!
At this point...a piece of paper fluttered down out of nowhere...Picking it up Krill examined it to find a map...and a small hand written note:

"You have an ally, follow the map and look for Lilith"

Following the directions they were able to get up to the door, the waves in the water continued to ripple...this must be some filtration system or something...there were no monsters here...for a change!

Bloxo

Griffin...decided he needed a fresh uniform...but he also wanted to check out that window...and now he had a number of guards pissed at him...he wasn't as safe wondering around...

What would he do next?

Nolon...tired and messy after his escape from the slime monsters was alone in the dark tunnels, walking through and trying not to fall over in the darkness he kept plodding on, soon he found he had two options, either to climb a ladder or continue down the tunnel, there was a bit of a commotion coming from the top of the ladder, lots of talking, some shouting...the tunnel was dark and seemed to be getting colder as he proceeded...which way would he go?

Shana had been captured, tied up and drenched in the sewer water...she was not too happy...but she had a plan, the guards carried her along quite a way, this was saving her energy, they found a ladder and were figuring out how to carry her up there...this is when she struck, using her ice powers she managed to break the bonds and got a sneak attack on the guards, leaving them frozen and unconscious...would she take the ladder the guards were going to carry her up...or would she proceed further down the tunnel to look for something else?

Krill and Icarus made it through the maze of cogs and ladders and reached the door at the top...
Taking a deep breath Icarus flung open the door, on the other side was what appeared to be a boiler room of sorts, it wasn't too large, they quickly made it through the room, but found two choices...a door which appeared to lead to the outside (presumably in the castle) or they could climb up and look for another way out...they looked at the map again, after the maze on the map they could see an arrow pointing upwards...could they trust this Lilith's directions? Or were they better seeking their own way?

Looking at where the instructions were telling them to go, Krill bit the inside of his gum. The directions had done them well so far, but that could have been to lead them into a damn trap.

Still, leaving the outside could put them at the mercy of a damn army. At least climbing the ladder would keep them inside and hopefully hidden. He turned to Icarus.

Our heroes have made their choices...

Griffin decided to bravely go back to his own clothes...at least the guards wouldn't find the "guard" they were looking for...but a wizard may be a bit inconspicuous among the populous...he decided to try and get into the window of the tower...perhaps a foolhardy move on his own?
Casting an illusion spell, he climbed a nearby tree looking like a squirrel and was able to reach the tower window, with minimal effort he was able to pull it open enough for him to slip inside...

Inside he found a corridor, to the left were a series of doors, as to the right...left was sloping downwards slightly, while right was going up.

Would he...go left
go right
try to enter one of the rooms?

Krill and Icarus made their way up inside the boiler room, climbing some ladders onto a catwalk they could see a door at the end of the catwalk corridor and decided this must be where they were headed, reaching the door they listened but could hear nothing, they tried to open the door but it seemed stuck...left with no other option they knocked on the door...for the longest time they heard nothing...but soon footsteps approached, a latch was heard and the door swung open!

Behind the door they were greeted by a hooded figure who looked them up and down for a moment and ushered them into the room...once they were inside the figure closed the door quickly and replaced the latch, pulling their hood down...revealed a beautiful woman with long blonde hair.

"You are the travellers who have confronted the dark ones army no? We need your help, the people of this town are trapped and are enslaved by the dark one! I can get you access to the tower he is in, will you join with me and my band of rebels to help destroy him and return power to our royal family?" The stranger spoke with an exotic accent.

Krill and Icarus nodded...not sure what else to say at this point.

"Wonderful, I am Lilith, Princess of Messcadia, that is the proper name of this kingdom which has been overtaken by darkness! We have two ways to get into the tower...both treacherous, we have the hidden ice cave below we can make our way through...or we have the sewage outlet, which way would you prefer to travel?"

Nolon decided to keep travelling down the tunnel, as he progressed the temperature dropped ever further...soon he could see why, the was a floating icicle up ahead, emanating cold...unsure what to make of this Nolon investigated further...but this was a mistake...the being shot out a beam of ice enveloping Nolon!

Forfeit - Ice Water Bucket challenge, fill a bucket with icy water and tip over your head! (Nolon)

Nolon, cold...managed to summon up some energy to run, passing the odd creature and further into the tunnel...

it was now starting to warm up, which was a relief, starting to dry off a bit...he found it getting hotter and hotter...

He soon walked into a room containing a giant magma like furnace...the heat was overwhelming, but he looked around, not wanting to go back...he could see a stairway over to the left heading upwards and stairs heading closer to the magma...which way would he go?

Shana, escaped from her captures and unsure about venturing to the surface yet continued down the tunnel...looking for treasure, but just finding darkness up ahead, with no source of light she would trip and stumble but recovered quickly enough...eventually in the darkness she hit a wall...quite literally she walked right into it...feeling around she found a handle which must open some kind of door...but she also touched upon a ladder...

Putting her head to the door she listened and could hear a squelching kind of sound, peering upwards, there was a faint light at what must have been the top of the ladder, she could hear no sound from up there...

Why way would she go?

With their different situations our heroes now had new paths to tread...

Griffin, currently alone in the tower decided to explore a bit...he went left down the hallway to see what he could find, he hadn't walked far when he heard the sound of heavy footsteps walking towards him from the left, it must be a patrol...
He went into the closest door and closed it quickly but quietly behind him, pressing his ear to it he heard the footsteps pass by, he breathed a sigh of relief...now he turned around to actually look at the room...it was dark, he stumbled forward, reaching out ahead of him to try and get a sense of what was in here, his eyes gradually starting to adjust...it looked like a pantry...

*Snap* he appeared to have stepped over a trip wire...next thing he knew was something messy had fallen from above and he was slimed!

*Forfeit* - You have to pour something messy over your head, Mayonnaise should suffice - (Griffin)

Krill and Icarus were following the mysterious Princess Lilith down and down some stairs she had revealed, as they got further down it was definitely growing colder...

"I need to leave you here adventurers, I need to find your friends and get them back to you, follow the cave and it will guide you to a rock face, climbing this you will find what the castle uses as it's meat storage area...but beware the ice troll guardian!"

As quick as a flash she vanished from sight leaving Krill and Icarus to proceed into the dark cave they now found before them, they had a torch light to go by at least...

It was a fairly narrow route for them, they couldn't touch the walls due to the extreme cold and balance was tricky on the frozen floor...that combined with the limited visibility made their journey treacherous!

Nolon decided to flee the heat of the chamber and make his way up the stairs and out of the tunnels, climbing up he noticed a door at the end of the stairwell, with no other way to go he went through...cautiously...

He found himself in some kind of factory, a lot of rather high tech copper machinery, conveyor belts, large stamping plates...it was very loud and the air was a little noxious...

Finally Shana too decided to make her way out of the tunnel and gave up her pursuit of treasure, she climbed a ladder and at the top she had to force upon a manhole cover to proceed, she propped it open slowly and took a scan around, before her eyes were cobbled streets, the milling around of people and the smell of freshly cooked food...she was inside the city!

Griffin was annoyed, luckily no alarm had been sounded...but he was messy and stuck in this tower, guards patrolling...no easy way back out and no clear objective in sight...he needed a plan and fast if he was to avoid capture and find out what was going on!

Now he could at least see, he looked around the pantry...there were shelves covered in jars of preserves mainly, but also he saw a mop and a bucket, and some kitchen implements dotted around...he also conveniently found a floor plan of the tower!

The plan indicated that this floor was mainly storage, lower floors went to guard stations and weapon storage. floors above were sleeping quarters primarily, but there was a library, a magical room of kinds and at the very top a kind of
throne room...

How would he avoid capture, where would he aim to go next??

Krill and Icarus shakily proceeded down the ice corridor...however they slipped and ended up skidding on their backsides down a slope, landing firmly on a cavern floor below, their torch extinguished they had fallen into darkness...it wasn't long before they heard deep thundering footsteps coming towards them...it must be the ice troll!

What would they do?

Fight?
Run?
Outwit the large beast in this darkness?

The factory noise was deafening, the heat generated from the machines was stifling, looking around the machines appeared to be manufacturing weapons, spears...swords...shields, quite the array of armaments...

Nolon was feeling a bit faint with all these fumes around him and was getting sleepy...would he rest and recover his strength or rush through the room to get back to fresh air? Or would he explore further to see where these weapons were going?

Shana was now outside...a bit damp, but alert, around her she realised she stood out, her clothing not of the local style, her stomach was also rumbling...and she was nervous about meeting more guards while alone here...what would she do next?

Look for clothes?
Get food?
Hide in the shadows?

Nolon was wishing he had stayed with the group. He was fairly useless on his own. He didn't like the factory, but he knew that the weapons were probably a bad thing. Nolon decided that he needed to figure out where they were going and try to shut down the machines if he could. Maybe he'll be quick enough to not collapse? Maybe not? Guess he'll find out. If he is though, he'll snag some of those weapons for himself.

“You, foul beast, get out of the way.”

Krill has changed his voice in an attempt to sound like a dark king, or at least what he thinks a dark king will sound like. He has no idea if this will work, and he’s a little embarrassed by doing this, but it might work.

But he knows that it probably won’t, so he pulls out his sword as quietly as he can. If the creature comes at him, he'll aim for it's eyes and hope to at least blind it, if not kill it.

“Your king commands it.”

Name: Torden
Race: Human (16)
Weapon: Hand to Hand Combat
Skill: Specialized close range lightning combat
Spell List: Static Body (Lightning augmented melee attacks and minor damage return), Bolt (Short range lightning attack), Lightning Form (Instant 3D movement), and Thunderclap (AOE damage/knockback)

Suddenly a mysterious portal opens above the beast. From it appears a young human, barefoot, with dark trousers, a loose fitting shirt, and a hooded cape. The boy connects a kick to the troll's head as he falls, following up with a few quick punches to its chest. Every blow sounds like the crack of a whip. The boy jumps backwards and punches at the troll, clearly too far away to connect, but an even louder crack pierces the air as a bolt of lightning shoots out of the boy's fist. Next, two near-deafening cracks echo through the cavern as the he seemingly teleports at the troll in a blinding flash and claps his hands between them, sending the troll sliding backwards along the icy floor, briefly stunned.

The boy takes the chance to run over to Krill and hold out a piece of paper that reads:
Dear Stranger,
This is my knight in training Torden. Please excuse this introduction but the boy is both mute and illiterate, so I've had to prepare this letter for him. As is customary in our world, we have sent Torden through a dimensional rift as his final test to determine if he is ready for the front lines of battle. Please note that our world has developed a more refined version of what your world would call 'magic'. It is not as diverse per individual but it is more powerful and easier to use in quick succession. Unfortunately it has not been perfected yet and there are some drawbacks but I'm sure you will find Torden more than capable of handling himself in combat. When the time is right I will be bringing the boy back home but until then he has been instructed to assist whomever his instincts lead him to.

Thank you,
Asta
Princess of Strenalia

Once Krill finishes the letter, Torden excitedly stuffs it back in his pocket and falls in line, ready for more combat.

[Torden can be thought of as a dex based front line combat mage.]

Griffin will find the library. The guard will be too bothersome, storage will be pretty plain, sleeping rooms won't do much even if he could talk to some non-guard people and magic room could be troublesome.

Krill frowned a little at the sudden appearance of the new human. He watched with an impressed expression as the creature was knocked back, though he was a little embarrassed that his performance was for nothing.

He read the small note he had been given, frowning again. After handing it back to Torden, he explained what had been written to Icarus, before turning back to the human.

"It's nice to meet you?" He wasn't sure of his opinion yet. Still, this person might be a powerful friend to have.

Right...back from holiday and can get back on track now!

Nolon bravely risked the fumes of the factory to explore...he followed the path of the conveyor belts and found that they seem to end up dumping all the finished product through a hole in the factory floor, he couldn't look down this hole or see where it led to...deciding it was a little dangerous to jump into a potential pile of sharp objects! He thought it best to leave it, though he did find the odd item that had fallen from the belt!

Reward - Steel Helmet (Can be used to protect yourself from one Sploshing)
- Short Sword (basic weapon, but can be useful for combat!)

Shana went off looking for some clothes so she could blend in with the crowd, using her agile Elf like reflexes she was able to sneak in through the roof of a locked Tailor's shop, she found herself a Red Cloak to cover her garments and hide her face...
Next she needed some food, however she was feeling a little weak after having to climb into the tailor's shop...she got to a pie stall, not having any money she tried to pick a pie off the shelf without being noticed...however she was spotted, holding the pie in hand she ran from the scene, escaping the enraged shop keep by diving into a bush...she ended up with the pie covering her front...

Forfeit - Smear pie over your face and chest (shana)

Griffin cast an illusion spell to be safe and snuck through the tower, after a few close encounters with the guards, following his map he ended up in the library...
This room was vast, but he found each row of shelves labelled, he started to explore the room further...

Krill and Icarus took on the giant ice troll!

Krill decided to try and trick the creature by emulating the dark king, a bold strategy and it did manage to make the beast pause for a moment and think...as much as Trolls think however...it wasn't long before it decided smashing was more fun and headed towards the voice...

However just as the troll was about to smash Krill...Suddenly a mysterious portal opens above the beast. From it appears a young human, barefoot, with dark trousers, a loose fitting shirt, and a hooded cape. The boy connects a kick to the troll's head as he falls, following up with a few quick punches to its chest. Every blow sounds like the crack of a whip. Next, two near-deafening cracks echo through the cavern as the he seemingly teleports at the troll in a blinding flash and claps his hands between them, sending the troll sliding backwards along the icy floor, briefly stunned.

The troll being stunned allowed the party to rush past!

Once clear,
The boy takes the chance to run over to Krill and hold out a piece of paper that reads:

With his new weapon and armour piece, Nolon needed to decide what to do next...the fumes were overpowering now, so he rushed out of a door he spotted past the complex machinery...
He emerged outside, breathing deeply he cleared his lungs and felt restored, but now as Shana had found, he needed food and a disguise to blend in...

He spotted a Meat Stand and a tailors shop open for business...which would he approach first and what would he do there to get his items?

Shana - covered in pie, ate what she could to regain some strength and brushed off what was left onto the ground...what to do now?

She should start to look for her friends, looking around at the scene she could see the ominous tower...she spotted a bar full of guards drinking away, she also spotted what appeared to be a magic shop...

Which of these areas would she investigate and what would she look to do?

Griffin in the Library needed some more intel...which section should he look in?

History of the land
Beasts and creatures
Spells and Tomes
Military conquests of old
Oh we love our Dark Lord

Note, he would only have time to read through one of these sections...

Krill, Icarus and Torden had passed the ice troll and reached the end of the cavern, ahead of them was a wall of ice, they had no choice but to climb this to the top, where they could see a ladder heading up...the wall looked very slippery, also occasionally there would be mini showers of icy water trickling down...

How would our heroes climb this ice wall safely and avoid getting cold and wet?

Name: Iris Willow
Race: Elf
Weapon:
Mercury's Staff
This weapon was gifted upon Iris after her encounter on The Desolated Hills. Mercury forged this weapon with great care to it's new wielders body and affinity as to thank Iris for the saving of her husband, Juniper.

198 centimeters (77 inches) of exceptional elder wood form the base of this marvelous staff. Intertwining roots wrap around the entire staff, but open up more at the handle, which has been strengthened with decorated metal.

The bottom ends in a gnarled, root-like stub made of wood and has been decorated with dozens of small round gems giving it a gentle glow and a smooth texture.

The top is made out of grand obsidian and has been crafted into a bird claw, which has been decorated with several smaller gems, which may hold magical properties known only to the wielder.

Skill:
The Forbidden Avatars' Transfiguration of Spirits
After years of studies Iris Willow developed her own Dark Ritual in her Village. This highly complex ritual, performed only in darkness allows Iris to call a spirit from the other-world, allowing herself to transfigure into the spirits prior form.

The Village, After learning the results of this ritual quick made it forbidden and banned Iris from it's borders. Many know the means of performing it, but only Iris has been able to truly perform it.

Action:
Iris willow impatiently fiddles with a coin, sitting on the log at her newfound resting place. Longing for adventure she looks out in the distance seeking for a challenge. She decides to meditate in attempt to find another adventurer like herself. Upon finding a link she sits under a tree to get into the darkness and channels to cast her personal ritual, The Forbidden Avatars' Transfiguration of Spirits. After much seeking in the other-world she manages to find a birdlike spirit and call upon it. After a rather odd... transfiguration Iris spreads her wings and sets out to find the adventurer she much longs to join. Once near Iris carefully approaches an adventurer that appears to be looking at some shelves containing some sections (Griffin). Iris smirks and decides to perform a little trick on the adventurer. She hides and returns to her regular form. With a careful hand she draws out her staff and casts a spell scrambling the sections to different labels.

Krill looked up to the ladder with a slight sigh. He knew that it would be the best option to leave the cave soon, and he wanted to gather the team up quickly so they could be safer. Not just to see Nolon again...

He took a step towards the ladder and, after a shower, placed a hand on it. The metal was cold and wet, but not too bad that it would make it impossible to climb,

“Follow me,” he looked to his small team. “Stay close, I’ll try to keep us warm.”

He started to climb the tall ladder. He had enough magic to make small platforms to keep the water off them when it fell. He just hoped he could react fast enough; he'd get the most wet if he couldn’t.

So we have a very keen new member...hence I am going to speed up my responses on this game, I like to encourage enthusiasm :)
Sorry to any players that haven't had time to post, you will not be made to do any forfeits in your absence...but please post back soon!

Nolon salivated at the cooked meats on display...and stared longingly at the new threads he could find for himself, after his encounters in the sewer and his time in the sweat inducing foundry...he desperately needed a change of clothes.

He opted first of all to get some new clothes...
Walking up to a hurried looking tailor he tried to get the mans attention, the tailor was wearing a beige shirt, with Green trousers, a large gold buckle adorned his black belt...seeing Nolon his eyes narrowed and a look of disgust fell upon him...

"What do you want? The state of you paints you as a common vagabond and I do not believe you have the coin for my wares..." he sneered.

"Gentle Sir, I am indeed without coin and indeed I need new wares, can I trade something I own or perform a service so I may have one of your fine garments?" Nolon pleaded with the tailor, his hands in a supplicants gesture, his head bowed.

The tailor mused..."Hmm, I will give you three options vagrant...choose whatever you will...
Option 1: You can give me that helmet I see you have, it looks new and...shiny...for this I will give you some simple garbs of grey trousers and a cream shirt. You can also have this old sandwich which I no longer want to eat.
Option 2: I am in need of entertainment, as my day is long...if you will take a large pie to your face I will be amused, for this I will grant you some finer garments, Black ornate trousers, a yellow tunic and a grey wool waistcoat. I also have a coin I can give you to feed yourself.
Option 3: I need to apply some dye to some fabrics, but it is messy work I warn you...you will find yourself quite a state afterwards, but for this I will give you a shower, my finest garment which is a golden robe...some say it has magical properties, I will also buy you the finest meat to rest your grumbling stomach.

What would Nolon do?

Krill (maybe Icarus and Torden) began to scale their ice wall...using grooves in the ice as a form of ladder rungs they advanced their climb, Krill using his magic to shield them from the various ice falls...this approach worked well and they stayed dry...if not warm, though once they got to the top he found his magic reserves drained...he would have to wait some time before he could use his spells again...
At the top of this wall they found the meat stores of the tower, rows upon rows of frozen beef, pork and chicken, they took some of this for later and stored it in their packs, they would need fire however to cook this food.

They climbed a small ladder through a trap door and found themselves in the Tower basement, this was a storage area full of wooden crates and rather tidily kept.
They could hear murmurs in the background, presumably guards outside the store room, there was only one door...this is the direction the murmurs came from, they knew they had to be quiet not to be pounced on...

There choices:
1. Search the room for something useful - warning, sound will likely lead to the guards storming the room. How might they prepare for this?
2. Storm the guards outside the room and take them by surprise, note if they choose this option they would have to run through the tower quickly to avoid being swarmed by other patrols and also, it is unknown what forces lie beyond the door.

Shana now fed and clothed decided to approach the magic store...seeing an abundance of scrolls her eyes widened...there was so much power here, she tried to touch one of the scrolls to read it's contents...it burned her hand to the touch, she recoiled before getting damage to her skin, this shop was protected by seals...
The shop keeper, an aged woman dressed in red velvet robes approached and cackled slightly...

"Foolish Elf, do not try to meddle with my shop...the last person who tried I think is still trapped in an eternal void of solitude...looking at you I see you have some magical ability...and I can also see you are devious...and have no coin to your name...my powers tell me you seek a new spell...so I will offer trade for you to gain new power...
Option 1: I grant you a new fire spell, this can be used to burn your foes without damage to yourself, though can be costly in your own power...the penance for taking this spell will be fire of your own (cover your pussy and asshole with toothpaste for 10 minutes)
Option 2: A spell of Darkness...this will blind your enemies allowing you and your party to attack with ease and land a few blows before they come to their senses...but you must experience darkness yourself to obtain this (blindfold yourself and experience the cold of a cold shower for 5 minutes)
Option 3: I would grant you a spell of chaos, this will cause foes to turn on each other for short time, weakening them for your attack and also providing a distraction, however you must face chaos yourself to achieve this ability (you will pour three different coloured messes on yourself, pink pudding, red ketchup and yellow mustard)"

hidden option 4: Attack the shop keeper, they are old and frail...but this option could end up being very costly...as they are evidently a high magic user.

Griffin searched through the library, looking for some secret they could use against the dark one in the final confrontation. He went through the 'Oh we love our dark lord section'...but all he found were tomes on different types of rabbits...he was getting very confused, he then heard a chuckle behind him...he turned suddenly to see Iris Willow...a beautiful elf enchantress, wearing a sheer body stocking, with icicle like patterns covering her...delicate bits.
She stares at Griffin with with a girlish smile upon her lips and hands him a book...

"I think this is what you wanted" She giggles as she holds out a dark tome.

Griffin is confused but takes the book and opens it...however this is another trick, cream squirts from the book and covers his face
*Forfeit - Take a Cream pie to the face (Griffin - sorry, this was a special request from your new companion)*

"What the F...!" Griffin is quite angry and annoyed...but his sudden outburst does not go unnoticed...

Guards immediately storm the room, they are armed heavily with Mess slingshots, slime coated batons and Reflective shields...

Our heroes would have to fight to get out in one piece!

Option 1: Direct confrontation...try to take the guards on in hand to hand combat
Option 2: Use magic...please note however that this Library has magical tomes tucked away, using magic may disturb these tomes...
Option 3: Surrender and beg...this may work, but not often...

Players...choose your options wisely...

A reminder...Messy forfeits should be reported in this thread when they are completed!

Griffin is annoyed by the sexy elvin librarian? as he had done a good job avoiding dection so far. Now that he had been discovered not only will they be already, but the dark one will know that they are here and escaped.

Even with his two weapons, he won't be able to fight all of the guards.
The last time he "surendered" it turned out bad for him...
I'm going to assume that the guards won't fall for the fake fire/creature torch again either. As temping it is to try to use the cream spray in the book on the guards reflecting shields squash that idea.

Given that he doesn't know who the this elf is and she looks more important than most people around here, he's going to (unhappily) pull out his dagger, get/grab the elf, and hold it to her throat. Having her body as a shield, he commands the guards to stand back or he'll end her and the dark one probably won't be happy about that.

I'll then whisper an apology to the elf as I don't usually turn a blade to our own kind.

I'll let our new friend get a chance to act before trying part two of my plan...

Upon reaching the top of the ice wall, Torden reached above Krill's head and grasped at the empty air. With a confused look he tried a few more times, as if attempting to grab the platform that wasn't there anymore. Torden eventually gives up and looks around, finding an unbelievable amount of frozen meat. Noticing the others take some for themselves, Torden stashes a few servings and the three make their way up a ladder through a trap door.

The group enters into a room full of crates with a single exit. Torden immediately picks up on the sound of speaking coming from the other side of the door and starts moving toward them, ready to take them by surprise. He is stopped when Krill speaks

The tailor was rather surprised by Nolon's offer...

"Umm...very well young squire...Firstly, here is your pie please plant it in your face while I watch and laugh"

He hands Nolon a large pie and watches as he plants this in his face...

Forfeit: Funnily enough...pie yourself in the face, pie should be on a base, contain whipped cream and some sauce topping (Nolon)

He hands Nolon a cloth to clean up and an outfit to change into, "Please change into this outfit and stand in the wooden tub in the corner"

Nolon eagerly proceeds to get out of his messy attire and put on the linen threads, once stood in the bucket the tailor pulls out some buckets and begins pouring them over Nolan
Forfeit: Pour some Yoghurt, Custard and Chocolate Sauce over your head and body (Nolon)

Nolon is then showed to a shower where he can clean off, once clean he is given the food promised and the following: A new outfit, a Red tunic with dark blue Trousers, with some Dark buckled shoes, he is then presented with a glamorous cloak, Red with gold designs.

Reward: Cloak of Alkazar! This cloak can make the user invisible for one occurrence, it also carries a good amount of damage protection!

Krill, Icarus and Torden made their way through the store room and just as Krill was suggesting to shock the guards...Torden tears through to door to apply his special kind of Shock treatment...he flings lightning at the guards on the other side of the door...disabling them! Closely followed by Krill who gives them a whack with his sword, knocking them both defeated to the ground...

It is only then when the trio looks at the room they have entered...it would appear to be the guards barracks...they see 20 guards staring at them, in various stages of armament...

The guards charge them, using their weapons with disdain...all three of our warriors are beaten and captured...being messed up a lot as a result...

Forfeit: Pour pudding, Ketchup and Mayonnaise over your heads (Torden, Krill and Icarus)

Griffin and Iris stare as the guards charge the room...
Griffin, not sure what to expect here grabs Iris and holds a dagger to her throat:
"Stand back or the Elf gets it! Your leader the Dark one values the life of this one"
The guards stand there unmoved, one of them chuckles evilly a little...

Iris whispers to Griffin: "What are you doing, let go of me this instant. I'm not what you think I am."

Seeing disinterest in the guards faces, Griffin tries his next approach...dropping his dagger down to his side and stepping between the guards and Iris, Griffin does his best to distract the guards and make them turn on each other...

"I must say though I am surprised that it took you so long to find me. Then again it was this guy's (nodding to the guard I met in the bar) idea for me to sneak in though the drafty opening. I really appreciated the information.

Oh come now, don't you all look so innocent. This guy here takes an extra food portion for himself before bringing it in the castle. Doesn't your wife work that stall? Odd she doesn't charge him more for it. Then again... "

The guards look at one another...you see their faces turn angry...they look like they want to beat the living crap out of each other...and then Iris makes her move!

She uses Griffins distraction to get to an oil lamp which is illuminating the room, she snuffs this out putting the room into darkness...but this is only her first action...she begins to enter her ritual...in an attempt to summon the spirit forces to deal with their adversaries...

This is where there plan comes unstuck...this room is not a safe place to use magic of any sort...as she is in her trance reaching out for the spirit world...she sees her spell bounced...the magic tomes tucked away in this room respond badly to her spell, a mini tornado forms, whirling the contents of the room around and around, this sends book, shelves, Iris, Griffin and guards caught in the vortex.
This has the result of the guards and heroes being battered by books and furniture...
The guards Weapons come loose and the messy contents being splattered around...

By the time the vortex dies down our heroes and the guards are not only knocked unconscious, but are thoroughly messy, it is not long before more guards storm the room and drag our heroes away!

Forfeit: Whipped cream pie to the face, a yoghurt topping over the head and some Mayo poured over your fronts...followed by 20 spanks (Griffin and Iris)

Shana is not happy about the choices the magic shop owner presents her...she decides to try her luck, she launches into her freeze spell and assaults the woman, freezing her hands to prevent her casting her magic and then launches in to knock her unconscious...this attack is...Successful, completely catching the shopkeep unaware she is soon overwhelmed...that was easy, she has time to snatch one spell...but then the shop is overrun by guards alerted by all the noise, a fight breaks out between Shana and the guards...but she is outnumbered, the guards barrage her with their messy weapons and she too is captured...

Reward: Pick either one the spells above, or create a new spell for yourself

Forfeit: Pour a bucket of Porridge over your head and then complete 30 twists to each nipple before cleaning yourself up (Shana)

So many of our heroes captured...they are taken to the Dungeons hidden within the tower, there is a floor dedicated to this, each hero is held in a different cell, shackled to the wall, left standing and helpless...ahead of them they see a large Iron gate, but they also each see an array of weapons on the wall either side of the gate:

A Sword and Shield combo
A large oaken staff
A Heavy Iron Mace
A two handed Axe
A bow and quiver of arrows
A wooden shafted spear with sharp Iron tip

While struggling at their bonds they are alerted by a loud booming voice echoing throughout the chamber...

"WELCOME HEROES TO MY ARENA OF DOOM! YOU ALL THOUGHT YOU COULD TAKE ME BY SURPRISE IN MY OWN CASTLE, MY OWN TOWER NO LESS...NOW YOU WILL BE MY ENTERTAINMENT...PAIR BY PAIR YOU WILL ENTER THE ARENA AND FIGHT ONE ANOTHER UNTIL ONLY ONE IS STANDING, THE ULTIMATE WINNER WILL BE FREED, LOSERS WILL SUFFER TORMENT"

Suddenly two cell doors sprung open and shackles were released. The warriors in turn were now able to see a large Circular room with stone floors, around the room were wooden stands where 100's of warriors were gathered, sitting and chanting...there was a large Iron Throne positioned in one of the stands where the Dark One was sitting, his dark form foreboding...

The order of combat is as follows:

IRIS AND TORDEN
KRILL AND SHANA
GRIFFIN AND ICARUS

How will you combat and defeat your opponent? Which weapon will you choose, what tactics will be on display?

Nolon, now wearing his new garments and full of food was happily strolling along feeling content and satisfied after his deal with the tailor.
It was not long however before he was stopped by a hooded figure...

"Oh valiant hero Nolon, please come with me...your friends are in danger"

Nolon paused for a second...seeing a patrol of guards strolling down the lane he decided he would rather face this stranger than trying to escape and make a scene...he followed the hooded figure into a small hut.

Once inside, the figure pushed back the hood to reveal a blonde and beautiful girl.

"I am Lilith and your friends are captured by the Dark One, only you Nolon can save them now"

Nolon stands there...feeling afraid...how can he rescue his friends?!

"I can sneak you into the tower, I can give you warriors to assist you...but you must rally your friends around to the cause and lead the final battle against the Dark One and his soldiers, please come with me..."

Lilith walks off, Nolon chases after seeing this as his only chance to help and end this eternal messy struggle...

She leads him to the back of the tower...and points out a ladder that he can use to climb up, a score of warriors behind him. Taking a big gulp he climbs the ladder to find a hole in the wall of the tower...inside is the remains of what looks like a Library...books and mess strewn all over the floor.

The warriors with him guide him through the deserted corridors of the tower until they travel two floors above...

"Young warrior Nolon, please direct us...all of the enemies forces are on this floor and your friends are also...tell us what to do..."

Looking around the floor, Nolon sees a large door ahead of him, to the left and right are more doors, behind them he hears cheering, jeering and booing...the guards are obviously watching something active...
His choices:

Option 1: Send all the guards rushing head long through the main door, this would result in an all out combat brawl...
Option 2: Split the warriors up to enter the various doors and take the guards by surprise...
Option 3: Use his one time invisibility spell to sneak in and get up close to the Dark One, while his warriors follow their own devices...

Please note there are many guards, few warriors and your friends cannot help you, as they will be exhausted from their combat/incapacitated from their loss in the arena.
You arrive after they have all finished their fights...

Krill looked around, feeling a little overwhelmed by the situation. He was stripped of his weapons, armour and had very little magic left. And he would have to fight Shana in front of a crowd.

He considered asking Shana to fake the fight, but knew there was no point. He and Shana had a small, on-off antagonistic relationship (or maybe it was one sided) but he knew that she would not give up an opportunity to annoy and embarrass him. Even if the situation wasn’t exactly good for them.

With a sigh, he walked to the rack of weapons and picked up the oak staff. When training as a wizard, he'd used one a lot rather than a sword. For all he knew, the staff might even hold some magic in it.

It was wishful thinking, but possible.

He quickly started to plan out his fighting style. First, he would see if the staff had any magic. If it did, he would use the magic to assist him. Then, he would use his own magic to make as large a ball of fire as he could and would keep close to him, to counter the ice as best he could. Then, he would use the staff to hit any pressure pointe he could and keep close to Shana, and hopefully overwhelmed her into submission.

He clutched the staff, not looking towards his opponent. He felt guilty, but knew it was needed. If he won overall, he would work to get his friends out.

Hmmm a battle. This i can get into. Its no secret im not overly attached to our little crew. I know krill does not know about my new spell so he thinks i can only freeze him. Knowing he has fire im going to take that quiver of arrows and the bow. My plan is to use my spell of darkness to blind him then freeze his feet in place then use my quickness to jump around and land arrows in his chest. Even if he shoots where he feels the last arrow came from i wont be there. Hitting him wont be tough since he should be frozen solid and the blindness is new and will be certainly disorienting.

While Nolon would certainly love to hold on to such an awesome one time ability and he suspects that the dark one has some sort of true sight or see invisibility, he likes the idea of sneaking up. Hopefully he can send the warriors in to surround and surprise the guards while he goes invisible to sneak up on the dark one. His attacking with the shiny new sword being the signal for them to attack while the guards might have their attention on their (hopefully) wounded leader.

Finally released from his binds, Torden staggers forward out of his cell and looks around. There is a large iron gate in front of him with an array of weapons on either side, and a line of other cells next to the one he emerged from. Before he could search for his two allies, he saw a she-elf emerge from the other open cell. Assuming this would be his opponent, he darted out into the arena and punched his knuckles together to create a spark and ensure his skills were still useful. Until he found Krill, his only option would be to fight, Torden's specialty.

Against ranged opponents, Torden will try to overwhelm them with his speed and CQC. Lightning Form to close gaps followed by Static Body charged kicks and punches when on the offensive and if his opponent is trying to zone him he can fire back some Bolts but their range is limited.

Against melee opponents Torden will fight slightly more defensive, mixing in some Thunderclaps to push the opponent back when they are on the offensive and Bolts to damage them as they attempt to close the gap. He still prefers to be up close with his fists but since he is unarmored he understands the danger weapons pose to him.

I assume Icarus will take the ax or Mace, so I take the spear since I am not as well versed with sword and shield.

My stragety is to keep him at a distance and use his heavy swings against him as I use my nimble abilities to get around him and bait him into commuting into a bad swing.. The spear can be used to trip him as I disarm him and hold him at spear point. Illusioning myself would be not that useful as he could still use sand or such to figure it out or even get lucky attacking me. Rather I plan on creating an illusionary version of his weapon when I disarm him to draw him away from his real one. If he takes the sword and shield I would do the same stragety, but aim to take his sword first leaving him without means to attack.

I also assume trying to work together would draw the ire of the dark one, and we'd both get punishment. So I let out out a battle cry of "I know him from work!" And start battling.

Iris Willow smirks in her cell and starts casting her dark ritual. She luckily stumbles upon quite the odd spirits and laughs mischievously. After a some weird sparks around Iris she oddly transforms into a tiny purple dragon.

Once released Iris quickly starts flapping her tiny wings and spews a strange purple substance over everyone, making everything on them... purple... and oddly glittery.

After covering everyone in now purple and glittery gear she returns to her cell calmly sitting down on her tiny dragon butt, threatening everyone approaching with the ability of turning more than their gear purple and glittery.

The contest begins!

First up is Iris and Torden!

Torden charges out and throws sparks around the arena in a show of determination and strength...but Iris hasn't left her cage...he peers and see's her meditating...

He stands there a little puzzled, unsure what to do!

Then Iris trans-mutates into...A Purple Dragon and a rather small one at that! She lifts into the air suddenly...

Torden wasn't prepared for this tactic...he speeds around the arena, firing his lightning bolts at the speeding dragon in the air! They fail to make target!

The Iris Dragon thing then launches it's attack...belching out a shiny purple goo around and around...there is nowhere Torden can hide! He is covered from head to toe...and the arena is pretty heavily stained as well...Iris then deposits herself back in her cage and waits, Torden goes for the charge but he finds he is stuck fast to the floor!

"IRIS WINS, PUT TORDEN ON THE RACK!" After the dark one speaks, a small troupe of his soldiers take the stuck Torden, stunning him with pain sticks and mount him on a large Rack at the side of the arena!

Next up is Krill and Shana!

Krill picks up a staff, thinking this his best choice of weapon with his skills...he is sad to learn it has no magic of it's own...but it can still deal a mighty blow!
Stepping out of his enclosure he spies Shana emerging from hers...with a Bow and Arrow!

Without hesitation he ramps up his fire spell to form a sort of magic shield against the arrows and Shana's ice attacks...

Shana however had a new card up her sleeve! She launched her darkness spell which blinded Krill...he had no idea what to do, next thing he knew his feet were frozen to the ground and he was struck by an arrow in the chest...out of instinct he launched his fireball in the direction the arrow came from, but heard nothing...
The darkness cleared and he could see Shana dancing around the arena...another arrow! Thud!
Without the use of his legs he couldn't manoeuvre to avoid the incoming flurry of shots! Luckily these were wooden arrows...or he would be bleeding profusely by now!

"KRILL LOSES, PLACE HIM ON THE RACK!"

The next thing Krill felt was a nullifying spell upon him, then the soldiers dragged his frozen feet and mounted him onto the rack next to Torden!

Finally up were Griffin and Icarus

Griffin steps out first brandishing a spear...something rather heavy for his slender Elfen form...but one he manages to wield with skill!

Icarus goes for a classic Sword and Shield and bangs his sword against the shield as he walks into the arena!

Griffin charges yelling "I know him from work!" and swings the spear deftly catching Icarus on the leg sending him tumbling!

Icarus quickly recovers and dashes at Griffin sword raised and shield to his chest!

Griffin quickly swings the spear, knocking Icarus's sword flying...and while Icarus is picking up his weapon, Griffin clobbers him over the head with the Spear knocking him to the ground!

"ICARUS LOSES, PLACE HIM ON THE RACK!"

The soldiers once again storm the stage and drag a struggling Icarus up onto the rack.

The three winners back in their cells and the losers on the rack...the dark one continues...

"SLIME THEM!"

Icarus, Torden and Krill are then doused in slime from above, as a nearby lever is pulled by a soldier.

Forfeit - Pour Yoghurt over your heads (Torden, Icarus and Krill)

The soldiers are cheering, entertained by their spectacle! They drink mead and rejoice!

Meanwhile...

Nolon has opted to use his invisibility cloak to strike the Dark One! The Warriors without their leader split up and stand by the doors to the soldiers seating areas! Even though vastly outnumbered, they have superior skill and surprise on their side!

Nolon moves in first...He moves to the door by the Dark One...and just as a servant leaves the room to find more refreshment he slips through the open door...
He creeps up invisible to the eye right under the Dark One's nose...then he launches his sword into his chest!
The blow is of course deflected by his superior armour but this has one positive effect...a magical barrier around the arena shatters!
The Dark One angered picks Nolon up by the scruff of his neck and launches him into the Arena...

Meanwhile the Warriors have used Nolon's distraction to sneak into the Soldiers seating areas and launch their assault, cutting down soldier after soldier! Though inebriated they recover their senses quickly and begin to fight back against the warriors. A massive brawl ensues!

One crafty warrior however has found his way to a control lever area...he flips all the levers he sees, opening all the cages to release the victors and also releasing the bonds on the rack for the losers to be freed.
This same heroic warrior also spies an equipment chest, he flings all of our parties weapons and armour into the field so they can re-equip!

The Dark One seeing these heroes free has had enough! He jumps into the Arena to finish them off and end this threat to his Kingdom once and for all!

At the back of the room...Lilith watches and smirks...

This is the final battle against the Dark One...

Note that he has powerful armour! note that he has mid level magic spells of Fire, Ice and Electricity, he has a giant Claymore sword!

Heroes! Now is your chance to rid the kingdom of his dominion!

How will you battle the Dark One?

What tactics will you use?

Will you work together or take him on singly?

Will you use magic?

It is make or break time! Come on heroes! Do your best to destroy this evil force and free the kingdom!!!

Iris, not up for a fight decides to stay in her comfy little confinement, but not after trapping it. She swiftly flaps her tiny wings and gathers anything of use to create a small but effective trap.

She finds quite some items at the rack and the control room and quickly returns to her cell, trapping it diligently.

Once done Iris morphs back into herself and lays down on the floor, taking a lovely nap.

I havent met iris. And i saw her take out a previous member of our group.

Not to go against an action already taken but in the interest of accuracy, Shana hasn't met Torden either so really you only saw two strangers fight.

If we’re doing discussion out of characters, I’d suggest that we try and overpower him. Maybe see what attacks it has first to see who can counter them and then back it into a corner and just throw everything at him.

I'd be inclined to agree but our party is mostly mid/backline. Torden could dodge tank but I think that would only get us so far. Ideally we would have Icarus up front but letshavesomefun doesn't appear to be back from holiday yet. If Iris could transform into some form of tank that would also help.

Forfeit: Pour pudding, Ketchup and Mayonnaise over your heads (Torden, Krill and Icarus)

The pudding was fine. Kind of fun actually, I'm really new to the whole food/messy thing. The ketchup and Mayonnaise are a different story though. I don't like mayo in the first place so it was already bad but ketchup has a very distinct smell in large quantities, and it only gets worse as it sits. The two combined into a horrible stench that brought back memories of a minimum wage job I had when I was younger cleaning up food. Hopefully the yogurt turns out better.

And finally,

As the action unfolded around him, Torden began to struggle in his binds. Soon though, the shackles were released and he narrowed in on his target. Even though he had been 'declared' the loser, neither Torden nor his opponent actually defeated the other. He Lightning Formed over to Iris' cell, turned away from the small dragon, and fired off a single Thunderclap. The dragon was pushed against the back wall of her cell momentarily, but that wasn't the true nature of this attack. The shockwave originated from Torden's hands and traveled through his body before emanating in every direction, sending a large amount of the slime that had been covering his back flying directly at the small beast. Once satisfied he was even, Torden ran back into the arena to find Krill.

Pretty sure this is the complete character and gear list.

Krill: a pretty basic, human wizard. So can make shields, small balls of fire he can control, and can teleport short distances. He’s quite limited by if he has enough magic energy. (Has allowed Griffin to use him as a human shield once)
-a shiny new sword
-suit of dragon armor.

Icarus: a small dwarf with an axe the only magic he knows is to make a sound that's like an heard of elephants although no elephants have ever appeared yet the potential is there long as icarus is well fed and rested full if energy.
-Griffin's quarterstaff?

Shana:
Freezing magic and darkness magic.
-A magical key, the key can open any locked door,

Griffin: Elf with the power to create illusions,
-magic lance,
-Jeweled dagger,
-golden chalice.

Nolon is a half elf bard. He has a rapier and his ability is to inspire competence and boost morale, but for only one person at a time. He also cannot inspire himself.
-Steel Helmet (Can be used to protect yourself from one Sploshing)
- Short Sword (basic weapon, but can be useful for combat!)
-Cloak of Alkazar! it carries a good amount of damage protection!

Name: Torden
Race: Human
Weapon: Hand to Hand Combat
Skill: Specialized close range lightning combat
Spell List: Static Body (Lightning augmented melee attacks and minor damage return), Bolt (Short range lightning attack), Lightning Form (Instant 3D movement), and Thunderclap (AOE damage/knockback)

Iris Willow
Race: Elf
Weapon: Mercury's Staff
Skill: The Forbidden Avatars' Transfiguration of Spirits

Agree.

At the back of the room...Lilith watches and smirks...

This worries me, but my character knows nothing about it. Maybe she was the cat from a while back or is just as bad or just glad that the dark one's minions are getting killed.

So we have a glittered stadium, with our "dragon" friend hanging back (booby trapping her cell?) and sleeping, shanna going to freeze her, Torden sliming her after zapping into her cell then both will focus on the dark one.

The tricky part is we don't know how much he can do with his spells and we've never been really in a "fight" per say.

The one thing I want to suggest is this guy seems over confident. I like Shana's plan of trying to get close, but think it will fail going head first. I will try to make him miss some attacks by creating duplicates when others attack and could try to get in a few hits with the lance being nimble to avoid the sword, but once the dark one uses a good portion of his magic, there is something I will try to hopefully trick him enough for me to get close. We'll see how the fight goes. *Krill I will need a short teleport for that plan.*

-Optional: Nolan since you have decent protection would you like the lance while I pepper him with Shana arrows?

Also for Bloxo only If I do get hit by a messy attack, which I'd be surprised if someone came out without being hit once. I will use my golden chalice to redirect the bigger mess on Lisa (barring any change.)

“Sure, that should be fine,” Krill nods to Griffin's request. “Just tell me when and where to.”

He would refrain from using any spells until after teleporting Griffin, to be sure he had enough mana left. After that, he'd start using shields on e erroneous he saw to keep them safe until his mana was completely gone. Until then, people dodged on their own.

When Torden ran to his side, Krill smiled. Not only was he a good fighter, but also covered in mess. As he had been the reason they got captured, it was gratifying to see him covered as well.

“So, the plan is to avoid as many hits as possible until he tires himself out, then we go in, correct?”

So after all this time our heroes come face to face with the Dark One!

A dramatic final battle to a grand saga of messy antics...but then this happens...

To begin with our heroes start to think about their strategy, how can they beat this foe that will surely KILL them if they fail to win the conflict! With all their experience, the weapons and armour they have amassed...hopefully they now have the ability to take down this evil foe and free the kingdom from his demonic rule...and actually escape this land they have found themselves trapped in!

But things don't go as you'd expect...distrust and anger within the team itself play out their hand at precisely the wrong moment...think Thanos and the Avengers for a good play at how you need to put personal emotions aside when facing the greater evil that will wipe out half the galaxy!!! (or was it Universe I forget)...

Side notes aside...let's begin...

Our heroes start this encounter as follows...

Nolon has recovered from being thrown into the arena after attempting his assassination of the Dark One, his new cloak protecting him from most of the impact!

Griffin the brains of the operation is carefully devising strategy with Krill, brain number 2.

Icarus is there in body but not spirit...Andarin seems to have been consumed long ago by the forest...

Iris has retreated to her cell, wishing to avoid the combat, trapping it to keep herself safe...

Shana is eyeing up our new female elf with suspicion...perhaps rightly so!

Torden is angry after losing his bout with Iris and is plotting some revenge...

Thus the scene is laid out...the Dark One stands there triumphant, ready to finally eradicate the foes that have amazingly escaped death at the hands of his minions, the creatures he has embedded the forest with and the various traps laid out in order to keep intruders away from his fortress!

Shana decides that even though Iris is hiding away, she remains an unknown threat, she blast an icy gust towards her cell! The cold air manages to penetrate the enclosure! Iris, though not frozen is hit by a wave of cold!

Forfeit - 1 ice cube to each bra cup, 1 down panties until melted (Iris)

Torden too has been angered by Iris, who's antics forced him into a slimy confrontation on the rack! He launched a shockwave towards her cell, the likes of which was designed to get her messy in revenge!

However Iris was hatching plans of her own! After returning her cell and laying her trap she had changed forms into a large Chameleon, after receiving her dose of cold from Shana and seeing this wave of mess heading towards her...she sought to protect herself! Using her long Chameleon tongue she grabs Shana around the waist and drags her into her trap...
Shana now finds herself stuck in a web and is blocking the entrance to the cell as the shockwave hits!

Shana takes the brunt of the wave, being showered in slimy mess!

Forfeit: Splash pudding over your front (Shana)

However ingenious her plan however, Iris doesn't escape untouched as splashes of the mess get past Shana and penetrate the cell, filling it with slime!

Forfeit: Pour some pudding onto the floor of your bath and lay in it face down (Iris)

The force of the shockwave has the effect of dispelling the trap, freeing Shana from Iris's clutches...

"Stop this you fools! Can't you see we have bigger problems on our hands than your petty squabbles, if you hadn't noticed we have a Dark One to destroy before we are all killed!!!" Griffin explodes in anger at the ridiculous antics being played out at this stage!

The Dark One looks on in bemusement, himself ready for an epic battle is now facing children who can't 'play nicely' with each other! He starts to think that maybe he gave these heroes a bit too much credit all along...surely their destruction would be a matter of ease now, probably not even worth him using his full strength...it would be a waste of his inner reserves...

Our heroes now huddled together, including Shana who is still darting evil glances towards Iris for trapping her...Iris hides away in the cell, scared for her life...not ready to risk herself for this party of which she is new to...

The Dark One growing tired of waiting for anyone to attack him begins to advance...

They have their plan!

Nolon starts off by casting his team 'Inspirational magic' combined with the magic slowing through his cloak, this provides everyone with additional Combat Stats, Magic Power and Speed!

Shana casts her Darkness attack on the advancing Dark One causing him to halt his advance momentarily, shaking his head to try and shift the blindness which has befallen him!

Nolon charges with the Magic Lance gifted to him by Griffin!

Krill uses his magic to Teleport Griffin behind the Dark One who is still shaking the blindness from his vision!

Torden uses his lightning form to join Griffin in this behind the back movement, as instructed he calls down a shining Lightning Bolt from the heavens! The great light sends the Dark One further into shock and confusion!

Now the attacks hit!

Nolon's Lance connects with the Dark One's armour, not penetrating but denting the Dark material and unsettling the Dark Ones stamina and balance!

Krill launches his Firebolts towards the Dark One, While Shana Sends her Ice Waves in his direction...The combination of these attacks weaken the Dark One further, draining the strength of his front armour!

Griffin casts his illusion spell to surround the Dark One with imaginary warriors! Then taking the bow he borrowed from Shana he begins to fire arrows at the hulking form! Many of these get stuck in the armour, slightly depleting the Dark Ones stamina...

Torden let's loose his furious punching skills on the Dark Ones back, the rapid hits trying to hit the weak spots in the thick Armour Hide do their job, weakening the ruler significantly!

Iris lays in her cell, slimy and weak...overcome by fear at this stage..

The Dark One recovers his sight and with all the attacks he has sustained he is weakened...but angry, he curses himself for not having his full guard up and under-estimating these foes, he goes on the offensive!

Seeing himself surrounded by enemies he goes into a frenzy and swings his giant sword in a sweep around him...this has multiple effects...

- The Illusions that Griffin has cast are eradicated...returning to the ether from where they came.

- The sword clangs against Nolan's lance, sending him tumbling back

- Torden is hit with the sword sending him reeling back

Forfeit: 20 Spanks to your cock (Torden)

The Dark One lets out a massive groan, the force of all these attacks has left him hurt...but not yet defeated...

How will our heroes launch their second wave of attacks in an attempt to take their mightiest foe (to date) down and end his reign of Tyranny?

Will Griffin come up with another amazing plan to combat him?

Will previous heroes such as Andarin and Icarus deign to join in the fray?

Will Iris snap out of her cowardice and join her colleagues to help take down this creature?

Will Torden carry on blindly punching?

Will Shana try to use more magic or will she use some of her physical attacks?

Will Krill try to protect his allies with shields or will he continue the offensive with magic...or will he draw his sword to continue the fight?

Will Nolon remain the tank of this encounter and continue with the lance, or has he other tricks up his sleeve?

All to be revealed in THE FINAL CONFLICT PART 2!

(Sidenote: I do not want to be teleported behind him yet! Only after we've worn him down/burned out his magic. One because I'm sure if I tired my plan now it wouldn't end the fight. Two because I think his magic would most likely hit me while executing the plan.)

Given that I assume this will be a 2 part fight and not include a third:

(Now)
"This fight is far from over." I mutter, he hasn't even used his magic yet...
I'll keep peppering him with arrows. Maybe it'd be best if someone could disarm him of his sword?

Be sure to try and take cover if spells start to fly!

(Later in the fight)

"Invisible!" Griffin yells! As Kill teleports Teleports him behind the dark one, he hopes his plan works.

For bloxo's write up:
He draws out his jeweled dagger. Knowing that the dark one will be expecting an attack from an "invisible" Griffin, he looks at the purplely sparkles coated ground. He makes a set of illusionary footprints charnging in front of the dark one like someone waking through fresh paint. He will only get one shot as he hopes the dark one will think Griffin made a mistake "showing where he is" and commit a heavy swing into the where he thinks he would be. Then he will strike with an unblockable close up attack.

Reward: Jewelled Dagger, a useful weapon with high damage when used up close! Unblockable attack!

Krill looked at the 'dark one' with gritted teeth. He could see that their attacks were starting to take effect, but the fight was far from over and they needed to do anything they could to defeat him and get out of the fight.

After teleporting Griffin to where he needed to be, Krill knew he was free to use his magic freely. He goes to use some more powerful spells, but looks back to Norden with worry. He'd been hit pretty bad and seemed to be in pain, something that could have been stopped if Krill has made a shield.

He pulled out his sword. For the rest of the fight he'd prioritise making shields for his team and get in some hits when he could.

For Bloxo
Krill would also stay close to Nolon as they fight, and would push him out of the way and take a hit from the sword if he cant shield him.

Nolon will continue to front line for his team. If he has to take a few hits in the process, then so be it. At this point he just wants to end the fight and make sure his "friends" are safe.

I have to go back on my magic attacks. The blindness worked well the first time so I will try that again. Ice can maybe freeze his hands or feet in place. I have a fairly set fighting style dont I? Hahaha

Name: Somyar
Race: lightforged elf
Weapon: sword an shield
Ability: lightbound spirits, the spirits of dead animal given form by the light to aid its champion in his fight distracting enemys for a short while, dealing minor damage or absorbing a little of the enemies attacks

Special note: as i dont love alone please keep the any eventual punishemts easy to clean(atleast the room), and short ish in time to complete thx in advance.

Just as the adventurers are trying to figure our a new plan of attack to bring down their deadly fow a silver line splits the air behind the dark one opening a portal of shinging light. Out of the portal jump 2 dogs seemingly made of light and rush the dark one jumping on him and attempting to pin him to thw ground.

As the adventures try to figure out whats going on a second line splits the air opening a portal next to shana. Out of this portal steps an tall elf with golden silver armor and shield. Drawing his sword which starts to glow brightly he smiles and says "please tell me you havent had all the fun without me"

Torden recovered from the hit and prepared to jump back at The Dark One but was interrupted when a portal opens in front of him.

If light dogs are successful at pinning The Dark One: Torden uses the opening created by the dogs to launch a series of Bolts at the pinned enemy while awaiting further instruction from his team.

If the dogs are unsuccessful: Torden Lightning Forms above his opponent and uses his Thunderclap in an attempt to push his opponent to the ground. He then follows this up by launching Bolts at The Dark One until he lands on his opponents armor with a lightning punch.

The Dark One is weakened...our heroes are fighting...can they beat him and liberate the kingdom...or will they ultimately fail and fall into ruin...or worse death?!

The heroes regroup mid fight to re-strategise!

As they are doing so and the Dark One is steadying himself for another onslaught...a pillar of light splits the air behind the dark one...
2 dogs of light pounce on him...not causing him damage but holding our foe at bay so the heroes have time to think!

Torden uses this opportunity to fire his customary lightning bolts at the dark one, further stunning him and draining his strength!

As the adventures try to figure out whats going on a second line splits the air opening a portal next to Shana. Out of this portal steps an tall elf with golden silver armour and shield. Drawing his sword which starts to glow brightly he smiles and says "please tell me you haven't had all the fun without me"

The heroes don't know how to react...but they have a new warrior to help in the fight, and a tank to aid Nolon!

While the heroes are group Iris continues to offer no help and hides like a coward in the cell she was kept...

After a quick huddle the heroes break...their plan set!

Griffin begins with a volley of arrows, trying to wear the dark one down and find kinks in his armour...

Krill begins to pepper the dark one with his spells, trying to inflict max damage lobbing firebombs...

Shana Switches to her...ice magic! Surprise surprise...She tries to freeze his feet and hands to see what effect she can have!...

Nolon and Somyar ran straight on at the giant warrior, sword and lance raised and ready for combat!...

This initial volley caused a massive groan from the dark one, feeling injury...his armour starting to fail...his strength sapped...

It was time to kick it up a notch...

As the Dark One freed himself from the Dogs of light...he begin to move forward to face our two melee warriors!
Shana quickly switched to her blinding magic which left him still and unable to see, he tried waving his sword...

Nolon and Somyar used their chance and parried the sword with all their might! The blade slipped from the Dark Ones grasp and flew threw the air!

Griffin gave Krill the sign and Krill used his magic to teleport Griffin behind him and then continued with his spell onslaught! The molten balls of fire thrown with such intensity, the Dark Ones armour glowed red...

Shana switched back to the ice magic...aiming for the Dark Ones feet specifically and success! She froze the beast where he stood crippling his manoeuvrability!

Torden used this chance and Lightning Forms above his opponent and uses his Thunderclap in an attempt to push his opponent to the ground. He then follows this up by launching Bolts at The Dark One until he lands on his opponents armour with a lightning punch...even though he doesn't knock him to the ground he causes severe damage!

Griffin then executed his ultimate plan!
Removing the Jewelled Dagger from it's sleeve he plunged the weapon into the Dark Ones neck, the super heated armour crumbled before the deadly weapon...the blow strikes!

The Dark One reeling in pain...Nolon and Somyar dug their weapons in, they carved up his insides, blood spewing from his wounds the Dark One collapsed...

"WARRIOR's Shooow MErcy..." The Dark One life force escaped...

Next outside the castle something wonderful happened...the dark clouds evaporated allowing the sun to shine through! The forest was now a much nicer place, the people in the streets cheered knowing that they were liberated, music was played, mead was drunk...the long battle was over!

Lilith walked down to meet the heroes in the middle of the arena, her warriors shadowing her, having finished off the Dark Ones soldiers...

"Congratulations my heroes, my saviours, my liberators...you have saved the kingdom...and now I may take my place on the throne, finally claiming this kingdom my own..."

The warriors circled our Heroes...and drew their swords, trapping them within a bladed circle!

"Now...you are my slaves...Oh Iris!"

Iris liberated herself from her solitude..."Yes my Mistress..."

The heroes looked stunned! What is going on? Why is Iris allied with this new Queen?

"Your magic will help me...destroy these heroes and take your place at the side of my throne, my loyal pet" Lilith pats Iris on the head, Iris smiles warmly...once the patting stopped her gaze shifted to the heroes...and her smile became evil...

Summoning the dark energy Iris opened a portal to the spirits, calling forth one to destroy her former allies...

But Somyar had other ideas...quickly using a light portal he travelled to the spirit realm while Iris had the gateway open, he summoned his own creatures of light to counteract the darkness!

There was a mighty explosion! A blinding light and then utter darkness...

Nolon opened his eyes to see the sky above him...he looked to the left and to the right, his vision blurred, but he saw green fields, as his vision began to focus and he could see his companions laying near him...he springs to his feet...

Everyone is there unconscious, including Iris!

Others started to stir...

"What happened?" Krill mumbled slightly while coming to his senses...

"Urggh...Darkness and Light cancel each other out, when I entered the dark zone and unleashed my creatures of light...well it must have thrown us through a portal...to wherever this is..." Somyer interjected...

Iris began to rise...she tried to call upon her magic! But nothing happened...she had lost her powers! She turned and ran!

Torden was having none of it, he lightning formed over and stopped her in her tracks...shaking his head, she stopped

"Poof, let me gooo!" Iris screamed at him, but he stood firm in her path.

Shana walked over and grabbed her, "Now little elf...you are mine! I told you all she couldn't be trusted!"

"What do we do with her now?" Griffin inquired...

"We make her our slave!" Shana had an evil glint in her eye, she then used her ice magic to freeze Iris's clothes...giving them a flick they shattered, leaving Iris in her underwear, white with gold trim.

Iris blushed heavily, looking at the ground with an angry expression but knowing when she was beaten...

"What now?" Asked Nolon...

"I think we try to escape the forest, maybe the Dark One's barrier has fallen?" Suggested Griffin.

"I'm afraid it hasn't...I still feel it's force...we are trapped in this realm, and not only that...the realm has changed under Lilith's influence..."

"Is that why the sky is turning pink with sparkles?" Nolon pointed to the sky, the changing hue started our adventurers.

"We have a new foe now...It looks like we must continue the fight" Krill commented.

It wasn't a second after that when the ground shook...it started to crack, the realm was transforming!

"Stay together!" Shouted Griffin, the heroes grouping in a huddle...the world around them was shifting...all that was there before was changing, trees became boulders, hedges became hills, mountains became streams...everything was different...and had a sickly sweet hue about it, sparkling and pinkish...with a darkness behind it...

After a few moments things started to settle down...what once was a grassy plain they stood upon was now desert sands...but pink sand sparkling...

Our heroes needed to move, needed to escape this new world...where would they head?

North was heading deeper into the desert...
South they could see a cave...
East they could see some forest in the distance...
West was a river...

Which direction would they choose to go?

"I.....I don't know which way I want to go. I will defer to the group on this one." Nolon was thoroughly stumped. This Lilith was now in charge. Just who was she? At least the party was reunited at last. He was relieved to see Krill....oh it was nice to see Griffin and Shana again too. He didn't really recognize any of the newcomers though, except that he noticed that most of them had helped out in the battle against the dark one. He stood around hoping his companions might figure out which way to go. As he stood, he admired his new clothing that he picked up from the tailor. It was definitely worth every bit of what he went through to get it.

Krill looked over the now relatively large group of people, rubbing his forehead a little. So they now had a mute spellcaster in Torden, a stranger with some form of light and darkness power in the new stranger, and a semi nude 'slave' that caused Krill to avert his eyes immediately.

Not to mention, Lillith was now in control. And, with the control she had over the landscape, it felt like they were playing her game. Speaking of...

"I think avoiding the desert makes sense. We're all tired and trudging through sand wont help," He sighed. "I'd recommend following the river, it might lead us to a village or something."

With his contribution made, his eyes settled on Nolon. He was wearing a new set of clothes that made him look pretty fancy. He was walking towards the subject of his awful flirtation before he could stop himself.

"Hey, glad to see you're safe," He mumbled as he positioned himself beside Nolon. "You look good."

Our journey started in the forest. I think its only fair we return to the forest

Blue Griffin

His plan worked, but now someone else had taken over.

Recovering from this shift in nightmare, Griffin was disappointed that he is still stuck and couldn't return to his people. See their new companion wave a letter in his face, he read it and met his new party member.

"Oh I'm sorry for mistaking you for the wizards brother. It looks like your help will be greatly needed."

Looking around, Griffin considered the desert, but his companions convinced him otherwise.
"Then lets try the river as Krill suggested. We are worn out and low or without our magic. Getting to a town we can see if the history has changed, if it's just a change of serenity, or worse the occupants of this land

Then there was iris to deal with. Although not happy about having a "slave" per say, espically one of his on kind, he had to admit to the party what had occurred in the library and saw her uselessness in the battle with the dark one. (Internally he's a bit surprised that Iris and Shana get along better given their selfish and "pranking" ways.)

"Once we fix this land (again) we shall turn her over to the elven council for her treason."

Griffin looks to the sky and ground.
("Pink, he though. Not a bad color, but not something I'd like forever.")

Torden looked around bewildered, wondering where the party had been sent off to. He was surrounded but neither Krill nor Griffin seemed wary of the other members so he elected not to attack. With no immediate danger present, Torden took the opportunity to properly present his letter to Griffin.

The yogurt I got didn't so much pour as it did flop out of it's container. I had to smush it against my head to prevent it from falling to the floor in one chunk. After letting it sit for a few minutes I did my cock spanks. My hand still had some yogurt on it so that ended up splattering everywhere, leaving me with quite the clean up task.
