All the entries were good, but in the end Sciencegal took the cake for me.

This was such a difficult choice! The story by sciencegal was really hot, but, in the end I had to vote for consensus, whose story just had something primeval about it that really pushed my buttons! Thanks, everyone, for some great pieces!

Yes. They are all pretty good. I *still* can't decide which to vote for.

A couple of them I like as much as I do my own, which of course I do have a hot spot for. (I don't really want to vote for my own.) Read on!

Deserving winners methinks! (I'm not saying that just because I struggled to decide who to vote for or that I ended up voting for the winner - or maybe I am).

I shall look forward to the next time I feel emboldened to write.
