When I was finishing my B.S. degree, I was named the outstanding senior of my department. My parents were at the award ceremony and were so proud and happy for me. As a surprise announcement, I was also name the outstanding student in the college. My name is engraved on a bronze boot somewhere.

I knew that question was going to come up. It's possible that my neighbor molested me when I was really little. I think I was searching for random punishment generators. I found one for spankings and tried using it but it never seemed to give realistic results. I don't know that I have an outfit I would classify as sexy. I have an oriental silk shirt that I get compliments every time I wear. I'm very excited that it fits again.

This has happened several times unfortunately so I'll just relate the one I remember most clearly. Dark and I were chatting in the Lounge when he took my hand and led me into private chat. Well, if I had a kink friendly audience I would put together a multimedia presentation with pictures and quotes from Dark and me. That’s a great question. I would say I was 31 before I felt really comfortable with my life. I had bought my first house after some very questionable living accommodations. My job was relatively secure and made me happy. I was dating someone seriously and discovering aspects of the BDSM lifestyle. Of course there were ups and downs but life started making sense.

I don’t think there is any way to generalize. Some men take forever to get their shit together, if they ever do. Others are capable of starting and supporting a family from a very young age. I guess it depends on the decisions that they make. In my mind, a boy becomes a man when he steps up and takes responsibilities for his actions.

I had never done edging before so that is a definite dislike. When I am doing it on my own I can give myself a pep talk so it isn't so bad. I just try to imagine pleasing my Master. Dark has never abused my trust so it's comforting rather than frightening that he knows so much about me. I don't need the threat of blackmail to submit. I submit to Dark because I want to please him.

Guess I'll take them in order. When I finally decided that I needed to take a chance if I ever wanted to experience life, I agreed to meet a man I met through a vanilla chat room. No, I've never been to a nude beach. In fact, I've never been naked outside to my knowledge. I've changed clothes in tents before but that really doesn't count.

I believe MOOCs (massively open online courses) are a passing fad. While the philosophy of opening up the education system is a noble one, there is a fundamental flaw. Very few people want to learn for learning's sake anymore. This may help explain why the completion rate for MOOCs is so low (about 7%). People are driven by external factors like the promise of a better job. As long as MOOCs are non-credit courses, they will continue to be a novelty rather than a technology and paradigm shift.

I've never worn a corset but I've looked at them many times. I like the ones that push everything around so you have a better silhouette. Since you didn't specify a reason I'm going to assume the zombie apocalypse has finally arrived. I would head toward Canada or Cuba. In the novel WWZ, these were the options with the highest survival rates. (If you've only seen the movie you should feel ashamed). Cuba is a defensible island with a large military presence. Canada has large regions with few people and freezing weather.

I would like to think I would take basic survival necessities but I'm sure I would fail miserably. I would take my dogs, valuables, and sentimental items. I thought about your question again today and think I've finally figured out some of my blockages. There is a reason I say I am owned, protected, and cared for by Dark. He would never put me in a situation where a complete stranger could hurt me. My kinks also revolve around having things done to me or me doing them to myself. I regret that I didn't take more chances with men when I was younger. That is part of the reason that I am willing to try most things (within reason) at least once.

Sometimes I hate being honest. The hubby just watched a marathon about the Third Reich so WWII is fresh in my mind. My brother was also stationed on the wall when he was in the army. I had been trying to get healthier since the first of the year. My weight was creeping up to a really alarming number and I was in pretty constant pain. I was making some progress but I was using alcohol to numb the pain – both physical and emotional. The true wake-up call was when I had a full blown panic attack at work. I finally just had to excuse myself and walk out, which was scary and embarrassing. I’m not sure how the weight loss issue came up with Dark except he knew I was unhappy with my body. I had already agreed to participate in a weight loss challenge at work (hence the 5% in 7 weeks) so Dark just set the parameters. I wasn’t worried at that point because I was feeling highly motivated and wanted to please Dark.

Dark has already said that I can just live in moderation until May 19th since this is a really stressful time at work. My prize for finishing page 7 was ice cream so I picked out something special yesterday. However, for breakfast I had my same protein bar and banana. The only major change was a Lean Cuisine for lunch instead of a salad or soup I made. Dinner is going to be a healthier version of Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo. My plan is to have small indulgences so I don’t feel deprived. At the moment I am so pleased with where I am that I have no desire to fall back into bad habits.

The hardest part has been planning meals and cooking on my own. Before, it was very easy to just pick up fast food on the way home or go out to eat with friends at lunch. Now, when I go out I have to research the menu. I do have some quick and easy meals for when I don’t feel like cooking so that helps.

Again, at the risk of sounding boring I'm going with my first and only experience with "mud bogging." That's a great question. I hope it would be someone I don't know so to remove the chance of weirdness later. Being forced to submit to a stranger because Dark demands it has a certain appeal.

Mostly it is knowing that I have pleased him in some way but all of those little things are adding up. I look better, feel better, and just generally look forward to life more.

I dislocated badly it in college pretty but it was fine for years. Ice cold shower even though I hate giving Dark any ideas. Once you get over the shock, a cold shower is bearable if you can just rush through everything.

My college roommate made me sit through several German films but don't recall any TV shows. I've seen the Top Gear where the British crew battles the German crew. Sabine Schmitz is awesome!

I put myself through college and graduate school totally on my own and with only $3000 in student loans. I'm really glad that I received scholarships because the alternative was joining the army as a linguist.

I've had a fascination with Mesoamerican archaeology from an early age. I've been to Tulum and Chicken Itza but would love to visit more sites. Archaeology was one of my favorite elective courses in college.

I would pick my 16th birthday. My cousin and I went to a movie neither of us had heard of that was playing at the nearby theater. It turned out to be Dirty Dancing which is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It was made even better by the fact we had no idea what to expect. Hawaii was interesting but it rained the entire time we were there. It was also insanely crowded and expensive. Tulum was one of the most stunning places I've ever visited.

The first time I visited San Diego was in the middle of winter. It was amazingly wonderful to sit by the pool and wander through the zoo. Going back to Utah wasn't fun but I took my Mom back there as soon as I could. I prefer seeing lots of sites rather than staying in one place for long.

I prefer printed fabrics for my tops and solids for bottoms. Aesthetically, I think it is more pleasing. Practically, prints help hide the occasional nipple action or stain.

I've heard stories about Doms that are manipulative to the point that the sub self-destructs unless they get help. That seems pretty terrible to me.

My Mom taught me to cook and she rarely used a recipe. As a result it's almost impossible for me to make the same meal twice. I made an awesome salad the other day. I marinated chicken breast in a light honey mustard and then baked it with a little Parmesan cheese on top. I think astrology is a fun intellectual activity but I would never make decisions or change my life because of anything astrology related. When life has turned to shit, it's nice to blame it on something like Mercury retrograde.

You are so lovingly cruel sometimes. There are few times that we can coordinate our schedules so we are both alone in our homes at the same time. When they do happen they are glorious because we can just talk and be ourselves. Most of the time when we Skype we have to be "vewy vewy quiet" so we don't get caught by one or both of our spouses. On a recent weekend morning, I was in my office on Skype while hubby was upstairs where he sleeps. He had come down to get coffee earlier and I had minimized the program and left the room. First, let me thank ST for reviving this thread that is better left to the cobwebs of time. I will get even.

I have met a lot of great (and not so great) people on GD. I won't rank order friendships but I hope they know I am thankful they came into my life. My week as LyPh's Domme was probably the most influential event that didn't center around Dark. Dark was a vital part of it and helped mentor me along, but he let me take the lead. LyPh was an awesome sub so I got lucky.

I will start with the most obvious change, which is my physical appearance and overall health. I've lost almost 65 pounds and continue to lose albeit slowly. Beyond the physical changes, I am healthier overall. I was having major knee problems last year and battled with ongoing pain. Weight loss and exercise has greatly improved the knee; giving complete control of my alcohol consumption to Dark brought clarity to the rest of my life.
