Need help with a Jock-Lock wedgie. PLEASE!

So, most people know the "Jock-Lock Wedgie". I've done them before, but I think I'm doing them wrong. Whenever my feet are shoved through the leg holes, instead of giving me a constant wedgie like it's supposed to, it just removes the wedgie and my pants, leaving me with my butt exposed (which is a pretty good wedgie, but not what I'm trying to do). What am I doing wrong?

try putting a tight belt around your pants so when you do the wedgie it keeps it from making your pants fall down and makes the wedgie tighter
