I was just wondering what people thought about US and UK TV game shows. Being from the UK, I prefer UK game shows and personally I really don't like US games shows, but that's just my opinion.

An example would be Deal or no Deal. If you search around you can find both the US and UK version quite easily online, so you watch them and see the differences. Me, personally I find the US version harder to follow and I just think it is a bit cheesy and over sexualised.

So, everyone what's your opinions on this?

Deal or no Deal... the US version... over sexualised.

Does Noel wear leather shorts and have phone sex with the banker?

Favourite British game shows - Pointless, Mastermind, Eggheads, Only Connect.

Favourite American game shows - Ummm... Man v Food?

It is America. In order to get the common Male to watch the show, it has to have some sexy in it. They have done countless studies that show if you put sexy women in, the general male population will watch. It is all for higher ratings.

Being from New Zealand I don't have a "patriotic" view on which countries game shows are better or worse, but a lot of the time I do prefer UK game shows and televisions in general.

I think the best UK gameshow is Pointless.

Don't know many US shows that aren't based on or the basis of a UK show, and I've never seen them to compare
