I am in uniform getting ready to leave and do a service now. Today is a day of solemness, a day to remember those who have given their lives, and a day to think about those men and women who are risking everything around the world as we speak to ensure the freedom that we take for granted.

To those men and women, you are in our thoughts every day, and we will not forget what you have risked.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
