Chapter one

Sofia dragged her suitcase down the corridor of her new flat. She was nervous about starting university and about her secret coming out. A head popped round a door as she struggled to unlock her room door to let the kind reps who were helping to carry her bags into her room. Sofia smiled weakly at the boy. He had shaggy brown hair and green eyes. The reps filed past her and Sofia smiled nervously.
“James,” he said locking eyes with her.
“Sofia,” she said holding out a hand which he took in his and shook. “I guess we’re living together,” she said. James nodded.

James’s POV
I heard noises in the corridor and waited to see how far it went. It stopped almost outside my door so I sighed and got up off my bed to introduce myself. I opened the door and stared at the girl that was turning to face me. She was 5’6” and was very slim with curly brown hair and brown eyes. She had a small smile but it suited her and her skin was almost see through it was so pale. I introduced myself and learnt her name was Sofia.
“Do you want any help unpacking or are you alright?” I asked trying to be helpful. Her dad came to the door.

Sofia’s POV
I internally groaned when my dad interrupted my conversation with James. I followed him back into my room. “Dad, I’ve got to live with these people for a year, the least you can do is be civilised.”
My dad looked at me. “Sofia, you are here to study and learn not make friends,” he said.
“dad, I’m here to do both,” I said rolling my eyes. “Now are you going to help me or just stand there,” I said walking over to my suitcase and unpacking it. My dad nodded and we unpacked everything in record breaking time.

Sofia’s POV

Finally my dad left after a tour of campus and I could finally get to know my flatmates. We decided to order in pizza so while we were waiting for the delivery we played ‘never have I ever’. I brought out a bottle of lemonade and said “never have I ever drunk alcohol.” I was the only one to drink. The others looked at me strangely. “I’m a Buddhist and I don’t agree with drinking alcohol,” I explained before the next person said theirs. In our flat there are four boys, James, Luke, Max and Andy and two girls, myself and Rosie who is in a relationship with Max. The other three boys and myself are all single but we’ve all had relationships.
“never have I had sex,” Luke said. Everyone drunk except me. “Oh, we have a virgin,” he said lightly teasing me. I smiled and shrugged.
“yep, and happy to be,” I said.

James’s POV

Sofia’s answers to ‘never have I ever’ are making me want her even more. I’ve only known her a couple of hours but she’s so sweet and innocent, I just want to be with her. She’s my type of girl.
I looked up at Andy and saw him grinning at me. I frowned. ‘You like her,’ he mouthed. I shrugged and he grinned wider. I turned my attention back to Rosie’s question.
“Never have I done BDSM,” she said before her and Max drank. I didn’t know what it was.
“What’s that?” Sofia asked before me, beating me to the answer.

Everyone around the table went quiet. It sounded interesting but we all looked terrified of it.
My phone buzzed loudly and we all jumped. ‘Your Pizza is outside for collection’. We all got up to go get our dinner.

Sofia’s POV

I was putting the pizza boxes away in the bin when they suggested it. “Let’s play truth or dare,” Max said. I froze worried they knew my secret. “It’ll be a great way to get to know everyone,” he added. I relaxed and walked back to the table.
I nodded, admittedly reluctantly. “How shall we play it?” I asked.
“How about if we don’t want to answer a truth we have to do a dare instead and if we don’t want to do a dare we have to strip an item off. Anyone who doesn’t want to strip an item off can call chicken and has to spend the night, with anyone else who chickens shut in someone’s shower cubicle,” Andy suggested. “That way if anyone gets to their underwear and doesn’t want to show their private parts they don’t have to but can if they want.”
Everyone nodded that this was a good idea as it meant we didn’t have to make complete whores out of ourselves. “Let’s roll a dice and assign numbers to everyone then it’s luck if you get picked and no one can be picked on intentionally,” I added. The others again nodded and we numbered ourselves 1-6 and wrote down a sheet of who was which number.
“Additional rule, you can’t do three truths in a row,” Luke said. He rolled the dice. It landed on 2, James. “James truth or dare?” he asked.
James thought for a moment. “Truth,” he said.
“Do you have a crush on anyone and if so who?” Luke said making what would be two questions into one. We all looked at James expectantly.

James’s POV

‘Oh for #@! sake’ I thought. ‘They had to ask me that question. Didn’t they?’ I looked around at everyone carefully avoiding Sofia’s eyes. I didn’t want to have to confess I had a crush on her since she walked into the flat.
I smiled, “of course. I have a huge crush on Jennifer Lawrence. I mean she’s stunning who wouldn’t have a crush on her,” I said keeping the truth as much as possible. I did have a crush on her but she was a celebrity. I picked up the dice and rolled. 5. Sofia.
“Sofia, truth or dare?” I asked smiling at her.
“Truth,” she said, her quiet voice ringing out in the silence.
“Why are you still a virgin?” I asked bluntly. Sofia’s eyes widened as she stared at me. ‘This game accelerated quickly’ I thought, feeling a little mean.
“I… I… Well I…,” she stuttered blushing furiously.

Sofia’s POV

I was astounded. I didn’t know what to say. I kept stuttering. “I… I… Well I… I suppose,” I was interrupted by Andy.
“You have five seconds to tell us or do a dare,” he warned.
I took a deep breath and swallowed hard. “I always wanted it to be special and everyone at home thought I was weird so I never found anyone special,” I managed to get it out in one breath. I could see questions forming about why they thought I was weird and quickly rolled the dice before I could be asked anything. 6, Rosie. “Truth or dare Rosie?”
“Dare,” she said confidently.

Sofia’s POV

I smiled at Rosie and winked at James. He frowned confused. “I dare you to sit on Andy’s lap while you give Luke a handjob and Max’s feet a blowjob,” I said. I was watching James’s reaction and his jaw dropped open. He grinned at me and mouthed ‘good one’.

James’s POV

I swear I just heard Rosie wrong. She was willing for Max to reveal stuff about their sex life which would incriminate her. Max flushed red, embarrassed.

James’s POV

A/N: I apologise for the long absence. I had personal problems to sort out. Here's chapter 7

Sofia’s POV

I expected to receive my forfeit that morning but apparently Rosie was holding off. “You’ll find out soon enough,” she said.
Time passed. Fresher’s week passed with no more truth or dare games but there was a tension in our flat that you could tell was because everyone was waiting with bated breath to see what Rosie’s forfeit for me would be. Luke and Andy followed while Rosie and Max made their way to a booth. I shook my head and turned to the boys. “Shall we go get drinks?” I asked. They nodded and we all headed to the bar.
I kept a hold on Sofia’s hand as we all ordered drinks. Sofia got a lemonade being a non-alcoholic. I noticed Max having a rushed conversation with Rosie as they ordered drinks. Luke and Andy grabbed Sofia’s other free hand and pulled her onto the dance floor. I followed slowly, keeping a wary eye on Rosie and Max.

Rosie’s POV This is new

I watched as James, Luke, Andy and Sofia headed into the crowd. “come on Max, the chance of that bitch getting whore of the week is so slim,” I said.
