Alright everyone, sorry for the wait but i was extremely busy and on top of it my internet was diconnected, so, im posting from my phone!

With this dare update i will be introdcing

Weekly challenge quotas

The idea of weekly challenge quotas are, you will be given a physical challenge to complete once a week (a different challenge each week).

They are to be completed in addition to daily excersizes. However, they must be completed within 7 days, and you may choose when to do it.

The catch is: if you try, and fail, you must re-start it. If you cannot do it, then you must post here at the end of the week and be given a punishment.

This weeks quota:

Males: 13 pushups, 17 situps, run 1 mile within 15 minutes.

Females: 10 pushups, 15 situps, run 1 mile within 20 minutes.

This must be done by next sunday!

Thanks!!

I wonder if I can make the run in under 15 minutes... but that's a challenge, isn't it?

I'm too lazy right now to read all of the pages but wanted to mention this:

Quote:
Does this mean you have to give up sweet? No, Sucralose (I.e. Splenda) Is fine, Zero calorie sweetner. I'm going to start a chain of these dares in hope to help make some people healthier. Fruit also contains NATURAL sugar which is sweet.
Some studies have shown that these artificial sweetners can cause people to gain, not lose, weight. For those with chronic pain, artificial sweetners can make it worse. Artificial sweeteners cause adverse action in the brain...some of them cause neurotransmitters to abnomally fire, which can cause a false sense of hunger.

My suggestion is for you to either stay away from sweeteners altogether or switch to one like Stevia. All natural, not man-made crap.

* I'm a naturalist (overweight but overall healthy) AND I have fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). So, yeah, I have done my research enough to be able to talk about this.

Alot of artificial sweetners do that, however i too have done my reasearch and not only that, put it into action and lost 115 lbs over all so far.

Ive found aspartame to be very harmful, and Sucralose to be fine, ive been eating sucralose for a while now, and like i said, ive lost 115 lbs, because its a derivative (sp?) of sugar, and therefore natural enough to not cause harm when taken in moderation.

Stevia, is good as well. Ide forgot to mention that so thanks.

Actually, sucralose is highly chemicalized "derivative". It is made by chlorinating the sugar. You may be able to lose weight with Splenda. However, you shouldn't call it a healthy alternative. I can say with certainty that your intake of Splenda is not what has caused your weightloss -- rather a change in diet overall with the cutting out of sugar and the cutting back of grains, exercise and an increase in intake of water.

Take a read at this article brought out by Dr. Mercola (a well trusted natural health doctor, known world-wide): http://articles.mercola.com/sites/ar...-part-two.aspx
I DARE you () to take a read into his other articles on sucralose via the search engine on his website. You have to register for his site but I promise you that you won't be spammed by them.

When I lost weight (54 lbs in 5 months), I substituted with splenda. However, I was in SOOOOOO much pain for those months. Eventually, I decided to do some research and found out that there were studies on Splenda that spoke of adverse effects. So what did I do? I cut out the splenda and would you believe it? The pain SIGNIFICANTLY lowered.

Keep in mind that just because you don't NOTICE effects on your body, that does not mean there are none. An example: alcoholics don't notice the effects of their alcohol consumption on their liver usually until it is too late. It is much better to be safe than sorry and do it the healthy way. I do agree with you on the rest of your posts though on good changes to make to have weight loss.

I must admit i have cheated shamelessly.

I have been ill last week and I have found that eating sugar boosts my immune system a lot, so i dropped the challenge for a few days.

Im fine now and rejoining.

Well, since I won't have any more time to do it I have to admit that I failed this week... I managed the push-ups and the sit-ups but I couldn't run a mile in under 15 minutes... I couldn't actually manage under 20 minutes... I guess I'm going to get a punishment...

Finished the challenge for this week. I actually did:
Pushups - 10 daily
Situps - 50 daily
Run - I'm unable to run consistently a mile without stopping for walk breaks but I did run/walk 2 miles within 40 minutes 3 times this week. Does that count?
