Hi everyone, Thanks to everyone for testing my app, and for the nice replies. Thanks for the many lovely pm’s. Unfortunately, offering this app that I made for everyone on getDare to enjoy for free, is seen as a form of advertising. Therefore I am removing it. The link will no longer work.

What a pity! I am glad I have your app by now. Many thanks for providing it, little pet.

Especially against such negative feedback now. It's not the first time that I experience getDare restrictive and counterproductive to creators. Rant over.

That is unfortunate. Although I won't use the app anyway, I do enjoy the idea that such an app is out there. Perhaps I should practice my Android programming skills.

Just to clarify that the app was not seen as advertising and does not go against any getdare rules. The app is very much welcome on getdare and is being removed by the creators choice, not because getdare staff have asked for it to be removed.

Yes it was. And also cited as an example of double standards.
I wouldn’t want to be guilty of that of course. That’s why I removed it. Seems it was not so welcome after all.

Seems you both got different information here. It was a pity if the app link stayed permanently down based on trying to avoid a double standard which I understand especially with the current decision. I would also tend to take it down for good right now if anyone would raise personal concerns.

Link to free apps without any financial interest (commercial, pay options) are totally alright, I suppose?

Little pet took offense to a comment that was made in a blog about double standards. Lola mentioned that her posting a blog advertising her thread was not any different than other blogs posted with similar content. Similar content which is now being called out for being double standards.

No mod ever contacted her and asked her to remove it, or told her that it was against the rules. It is her own choice to remove the ad. Nobody has ever complained about it, and the mod who pointed this out didn't say she had a problem with it either.

So to answer your question, links to fee apps without any financial interest, and those that don't break any other getDare rules (ie. nudity) are perfectly ok and appreciated here on getDare.

When I try to access the page with the app, it says "I do not have permission to access this page"
Followed by "i do not have sufficient privileges to access"

Any idea how I can access your app without this coming up?

She took it down. That's why.

If you are looking for something alike, look for a counter app on your phone where you just have to press a big area to increase the counter.
