i don't think thats the answer. a lot of people here are from places in the world they dont have access to credit cards. even if they are above 18 or 21.

And I think it was more than just one.

About the problem, just wanted to share milovana´s solution: Every new member needs an invite-code given by an already existing member. Not sure how reasonable it is for this site, but mentioning it can´t harm.

P.S.: Not sure if milovana did this only because of spam bots but it appears to be working.

The bot only seems to make one thread per account. You could just prevent new accounts from making threads / post for the first few hours / the first day. That should help.

It looks like the bot only posts in the one forum so instead of the staff spending most of their time banning them, make a new AMA forum for the getdare people and just let the bot keep posting in the old AMA forum.

that will solve the problem of the bot messing up the forum for other people and then the staff will have more time to work on a solution to stop the bot completely.
