If you found out one of your friends was lying to you, what would you do?

Probably just distance myself. Depends on what the lie is and what kind of friend it is.

I'd take the circumstances into account, but also the nature of my relationship with the person. 'Friend' is a loose term for a lot of people. I can enjoy the company of someone knowing that they cannot be trusted and not expecting any deep connection with them, if I find them interesting, talented or amusing. If I care for someone and the trust I give them is broken through deliberate deception, I distance myself.

If I found a friend was lying I would confront them .All my friends know this is one of my pet hates and wont abide it .There is never a reason to lye.

All my "friends" are close to me, anyone else is an acquaintance, so if one of my friends were lying about something and I found out, I would ask them why they kept it from me, but that's saying if I cared. It all depends what it is and what not. chances are I wouldn't care unless it effected the future in some way. I mean pertaining to their future, or mine.

I shared a deal of lies my self, sometimes it can be hurtful for the person to find out. They could just be trying to save you from emotional pain. So when my friends lie to me and I find out, it depends what it's about for me to get mad. But sometimes you just got to live and forgit, right? I mean after they do lie you can't change what they decided to do.

When I find out, I will ask my friend why they lied. I try to always listen to their side fully before reacting. Once I know the full story, we talk it out till the situation is resolved.

I hate lying, but I udnerstand why people do it. It would depend entirely on the lie/friend. If it was someone close or something they had no reason to lie to me about, I would be pretty damn pissed.
