When I was in the 6th form, and a school prefect, although being still of small statute about 5’ 5 tall, I was not always taken seriously as a prefect.
I remember a girl called Kay from the 4th year, Kay was mature for her age (15), she was the tallest girl in the year, being about 5’ 9 or 10” tall, quite attractive, and had a full female figure and was very confident – was regarded by some a ‘big head’ or show off. I did admire her, but would never have plucked the courage to ask her out,
as she would probably burst out laughing.
At lunch time we had some dancing sessions, more traditional dancing – waltz’s etc.,Kay selected me for a dance, I was flattered. But it must have looked funny, a much taller younger girl dancing with a shorter school prefect.

It dawned on me later, she probably asked to to dance as a source of amusement and also to humiliate and subtle domination me as she steered me round the dance floor, looking down at me and grinning.
