Thanks everyone for all the thoughts and encouragement. I don't come on here very often anymore but I feel it is necessary to finish the story as there are some great parts left.

The story hasn't died and I will begin writing again soon

Don't feel obligated to finish it if you don't want to, but if you do then I am very much looking forward to it :-)
