Like button on blog comments?
It would really be nice to have a quick 'like' button on comments to blogs. Just to acknowledge that you have read and appreciate the responses.
Actually, I'd love to have that on this site in general. The 'thanks' button can only be used a limited number of times, which I still don't quite understand. I would just like to have something to simply let a poster know that I have read and appreciate their comment.

Also, experience shows [Facebook, I think - I can't remember - but it's been researched by real people] that if you can "get away" with just pressing "like", you are much less likely to join the discussion. So would I! But "liking" isn't the way.

I believe the research showed the opposite. (But I can't really argue as I can't remember where I read the thing. I'm pretty sure it was Facebook's research, though. Or Tumblr?)
