I have done the hallway walk several times over the years and have been naked with the room curtains open for periods of time. I don't think I've ever been seen. Of the two choices, the hallway walk is more exciting for me because at any moment someone could come around a corner or out of their room and I'd be busted!

Well, As someone who travels a lot, I will often do the naked hallway walk. It definitely depends on the hotel whether I do it or not.

And I pretty much do the second option all the time. The first thing I usually do is open the blinds all the way. Then I'll strip down. Then usually wash up and then open the suitcase. In NYC, it has proved interesting a few times in one of the hotels I stay at as there isn't much room before the bordering hotel, so I've seen a number of times people staring from windows.

One time in the Boston area, I was in a hotel on the ground floor with a lovely view of the parking lot. Blinds wide open, naked as can be. Don't recall what I was doing, but I know I was standing up and a car pulled in the spot in front of my room with headlights on (it was evening, and my lights were on too). I was like a deer in headlights for a second then ran to the bathroom and waited. That was quite a few years ago, and really wasn't expecting that since the parking lot wasn't that full and I wasn't towards the entrance. But I still left the blinds open that night.

I'd pick the second simply because of the proximity of anyone who would see you in the first being a bit too close for comfort.
