If you write (for example) that you're underage in a blog entry and you suddenly find out that underage users are not allowed on getDare then it would be really easy to just erase the evidence. So only the person who (soft) deleted the content and the moderators are able to still view the blog entry. If you want a moderator to
'permanently' delete it for you, it really is still there but just not visible to you anymore or anyone else besides moderators.
