I would choose to take the heels off because i do not walk very fast with heels. plus a 30 minute walk would be WAYYYYY too much. And i actually like walking barefoot.

Things that might make me want to keep the heels on would be if the ground was dirty, too hot, wet, or temperature was too cold.
