Justine's obligations
Justine was upset that her daughter had not come home from school. At the very least, she had called to let her know what was happening.
"So you're heading out with your friends, then?"
"Yeah... sorry for supper..."
A warm home-cooked meal was now being stored in the fridge. Given the fact that Justine couldn't meet with her daughter to the Rat Pack's home because she was hosting August Rand tonight, it meant she would not see her daughter potentially until tomorrow morning.
Whereas last week, sleeping with August Rand would not have been an issue, today, she felt that she wasn't looking forward to it. In fact, she was dreading it. It wasn't that August was an unattentive lover, quite the contrary. But the more she reflected upon herself, the less Justine wanted to be with men. She had actually hoped for a quickie with Tina before supper (and that, in itself, was a great part of the frustration).
Using her newly installed internet, she began browsing online for lesbian bars. If she was going to meet someone, and a woman, she needed to start looking in the right places. But then, as she perused the locations, she began to wonder (again) how a lover would react to her arrangement with August. There were many torturous ideas shuffling inside her head when the door rang.
Whether she was ready or not, whether she wanted to do it anymore, her guest was here, and she needed to entertain him.
