What’s this?" asked Lucy. Not waiting for an answer she picked up the bottle of strange looking stuff.

Lucy wondered what it could be. Shaking the bottle she found it made loads of bubbles. Oh is this soapy water, she wondered remembering what her dad had told her as a young child.

Quickly sprinkling a splash of the liquid on the ground Lucy stood and watched. The rest of the girls saw what Lucy was doing and quickly followed suit.

Before you could say tasty worms, what looked like hundreds of the slimy creatures came to the surface. The girls gathered as many a possible hoping they wouldn't be the loosing player and having to perform the dreadful dare.

"Sarah looked around, believing she had more worms in her bucket than any other girl she began to worry. None of these slippery things are touching my skin, she thought picking up a final worm before the teacher yelled that it was time they moved into the woods for the next 30 minutes of searching.

Looking towards the wood Amber saw that the boys were acting most particular. Some of them were jumping on the ground like they had already won the dare. Realising that it was part of a plan to entice the worms to the surface Amber began to worry, had she actually managed to capture enough. Glad that there was still the woods Amber rushed in front of the other females to the entrance.

Meanwhile Dani was looking through the stuff in the wheelbarrow to see if there was anything else that could possibly be of use to her.

Snatching one of the three trowels she rushed off to the woods as fast as her legs would carry her leaving her 3 friends far behind.

Realising what Dani had got the others all rushed to the wheelbarrow. Finding only 2 trowels remaining Sarah was left without.

Sulking Sarah tried to think of some other way of getting the upper hand. The boys were already in the wood and searching for all sorts of different kinds of bugs and beetles.

Eventually the 10 poker players were all hunting high and low for any type of crawly insect/beetle they could find.

Dani, Lucy and Laura were all using their trowels to good effect. Picking out muddy patches of earth and turning over leaves they found no end if different types of bugs. "Wow its Bugs life" laughed Laura thinking about the film she had once seen as a young child.

John had found a large tree which had rotten and fallen to the ground. Picking at the bark it eventually fell apart. Wow he called to himself seeing the creatures that laid inside. Without any tools he tried to pick the creepy insects up with his hands and place them in the bucket. This was actually far harder than anyone would ever imagine.

David had spent a bit of time walking through the wood before he arrived at a really muddy patch. Jumping on the soil he hoped to disturb something and make it come to the surface. His plan didn't seem to be working very well at first with just the occasional worm becoming visible so he decided to move onto a different plan.

Mark was rustling through some leaves looking for caterpillars and other crawly insects.

Adam had found al bunch of nettles where little bugs lay. How am I going to capture these he wondered, debating if his gloves would protect him from the stings he was sure to get.

With so many different ideas it was sure going to be interesting to find out who would have the most and who the unfortunate player to have the least would be.

Realising that they were almost out of time everyone moved to a different area of the wood in one last ditch effort to beat their friends.

"Time is up" called the teacher before telling the group to assemble back at the lab after their usual 20 minute break.

The poker players all knew what they would be doing during the break and regrouped on the football pitch. "Is everyone ready to find out how many everyone has managed to capture" asked John building up the tension.

While everyone was sat on the green grass Mark had a cunning idea. Secretly he ......
