Whenever you have a wedgie, you need to leave it in. If you pick it out (or pull underwear down for the bathroom, etc.) you are done with underwear: you may not put any underwear back on until either someone tells you to do so or you have slept for at least three hours.
Your roommate should probably institute underwear inspections, and spank you if you're not wearing them.
