Well he was more directing it at the slave's master.
Anyway, I just say... Each to their own.
Maybe the master did it, to humiliate the slave in the process too. Who knows. But it does make you wonder about Masters' ability to come up with their own ideas.
It's never wrong to ask for inspiration though.
