Well, you get the automatic 7 nonreducible days. Track them separately so you don't forget you can't reduce them. They also occur last, so you can't just serve the 7 days and then just have reducible days remaining.
I'll also give my typical punishment/assistance for failure to control yourself: from now on, every time you get to edge, immediately punch yourself in the balls. That should prevent future mistakes.
