Fact: most wierd laws come from precedents and or a normal law written strangely.
Say if someone works somewhere and has to wear rollerskates even in bathrooms and the employee falls and hurts themselves, they can then sue and set a precedent for wearing rollerskates in bathrooms.
Or if it's illegal to tie anything to a fire hydrant then of course it's illegal to tie a lion to it.
One "wierd" law that I know for sure doesn't fit into those catogories was a law that was in Queensland Australia. It used to be illegal to for more then three people to walk down the street side by side, because it was considered a protest.
