The distribution of the poll results compared to expected results is interesting. The average in majority-white nations (where most getDare members are from, as far as I've seen) is 5.5". However, the poll results show a fairly reasonable distribution for an average size an inch longer, then a sharp drop for anything longer still. If I were to guess, I'd say that people tend to overestimate by a consistent amount up to the average, so as to appear more impressive, and above the average there is less need for exaggeration, so results are reported more accurately.

Hence we end up with a smooth curve up to the average and one category higher. The 6-7 class, if this hypothesis is correct, includes both those who are, in reality, average (5-6), and many of those who actually are 6-7, pushing it to become the most common category.
