So whats up with the "PG rules" on this site
 

Joined a few days and noticed something strange. All the rules say that avatars cannot be pornographic, or even images in albums. What confuses me is how is the site "PG" rated at all? The majority of the threads (99.99%) are all bdsm/sex related. I constantly see people with avatars containing sexual intercourse or extremely lewd photos. I mean wth?

Also supposedly posting a dare that contains asking for a person's photo is illegal? Yet I see this all the time lol. Isn't this an adult site, because if it isn't I think we have a serious problem on hour hands. Just want to see if anyone can clarify on the "PG Rules".

For the why no nudity, I honestly don't know why. But, I do appreciate it, it keeps stuff somewhat classy, othewise this would be just another site where guys spam their dicks everywhere. No thank you

I like the no nudity. It keeps people from sending dick pics to females on this site. (Doesn't work 100% of the time.)

Plus, I may be an adult but honestly, I'm not a fan of nudity and like this site because even though it's mainly sexual, I don't have to see a lot of nudity stuff.

I think mainly since some years ago, the site allowed people 13+ to join. I think in one of the recent posts, Rachie said being 13+ on here was allowed 5 years ago.

And the statement below is only if the 18+ rules got placed then. It could've been placed later.

So even though if it was placed 5 years ago, most of them are 18 now, but others with birthdays later than today are still 17.

So it may be to cover their ass so to speak. It's a theory of mine.

Yea what was said above ^ the site use to be different, then a bunch of bellends got butthurt and reported the site, thus now pg rated and 18+

Yeah. The site used to be open to people under 18. There were some complaints, and in order for it not to be shut down entirely, depp had to make it 18+. They grandfathered young people who were on here already, but restricted them to the non 18+ parts of the site. I think the no nudity is a holdover from that.

The no pics is probably related, but was also to try and keep people from spamming requests for them. It used to be enforced much more than it is these days. But I think people's norms around pics have gotten more relaxed over the last 5 years as well. So maybe that's why the mods aren't banning for it?

And to clarify on the pics, I don't think necessarily that more of the people I talk to on this site want to share pics than did in the past, but that the ease of taking and sharing pics has gotten much more than it used to be, and that in general people share far more pictures of themselves than they did 5 years ago. The term "selfie" wasn't quite as omnipresent back in the good old days ;)
