Someone else using someone elses pic as an avatar
So, what to do if you see someone else using someone ( who isn't them ) picture.
Like for the guys who pretend they are girls using a real life girls pic OR anyone who steals a pic of facebook or whatever should'nt ( or is ) this groups to report ? I think its kinda wrong.. |
I would like to report them, yeah. Or at least call them out on it. I don't know what the mods stance on it is though, and you might be banned/warned yourself for harassment, before the person with a fake picture is banned/warned for being misleading or broaching copyrights.
If they have playpartners that are friends or good acquaintances of mine I do "rat them out" though. Just because I don't want genuine/serious people being tricked or even hurt for no real reason. Edit; I do mean when they use pictures and pretend or say it's them, when it's really not. Of course, if people just use a picture that they feel represents them in some way it's a completely different matter. |
Hard to say. Depends on the sitch. If it's a pic and they freely tell anyone who asks it's just a pic they like/enjoy etc. . . Then it can just be a copyright thing possibly. If they're actively using it as them it's a bit different.

If they are using a picture of someone else is what im getting at
Ex. - using a photo of a girl who may or may not be 18 using a copyrighted photo is another matter. ( thats a legal matter ) |
We have banned users in the past for taking photos off the internet and claiming that it is them (specifically when they are using pornstar photos or other seemingly "popular" people). I personally do not go to every profile on here and reverse-image search all of the pictures to see if hundreds of copies show up from porn sites but if you find one like that, feel free to report it and I'll look into the user.
That being said, we don't ban males pretending to be females for the most part. So if you're just mad that you've been tricked into playing with someone that turned out to be a male, please don't report it and just learn to get to know the people you're playing with better in the future. |
