No never why would you don't see the point in doing so.

Absolutely not! Unless you count bumping up the count when I have a birthday soon. It would feel like lying to say I was 37 less than a month before I turned 38.

No, but honestly I don't feel 40. I feel like I'm 23 and you are only as old as you feel right?

I don't lie about my age. In most cases, I'm looking for something to happen irl, and lying would be discovered. I don't lie at all--I'm not all that good at it!

No I never did, it does not feel right.

Um... Am I the only one here who did? I only did it to use sites that required 18+ when I was a bit below the age, I just am not very patient. I've never lied about my birthday though, which is something I guess.

As questionable as that might have been, but I also lied about my age in the past to make me be "old enough" to see certain sites that are 18+. There's not much of a point now that I'm a bit older, admittedly, and I don't anymore.

no not really - I am usually just deliberately inaccurate. I usually just add or substract a couple of days or month, so it is more difficult to guess my real identity :)

Yes. I had to survive on the 18+ websites as an underage person.

Well I'm a 34 years old guy but my profile says I'm 24 years old. So yes I have lied about my age online. But then at the time I joined this webforum, I was saying I was 10 years younger in real life. New job, new flatmates and new friends. All 10 years younger than me and I managed to get 95% of them to believe me - its good looking so young.

So if there is any kind admin willing to change my date of birth from 1993 to 1983, please do. Thank you.

Absolutely! I'm sure everyone in my generation has done at some point, when we were under 18 trying to get onto more restricted sites. I know i did on tons of website, tons and tons!

Although since i turned 21, what you need for some American based sites, i've never lied about my age as there's never been a need to do so.

When I first joined this site (back before it was 18+ restricted) I lied and said I was 18 when I was only 16. At the time it was allowed.

Then a couple years later when I was 18 I asked for it to be amended. (still all before the 18+ restrictions) I never did it to gain access to areas I shouldn't have been able to, simply to aid in a little misinformation, I used to provide a fake location, name and age. As I grew up and understood the Internets risks and safe practices I have been much more honest and also candid about who I am.

The only time I lied online about my age was when I created my runescape account, because at the time you had to be 13yo to start playing that game, but I was 12 at the time
