Can any Brits relate to this?
http://i.imgur.com/ieD1I.png I found that picture some days ago and I was wondering if you guys over their really use that. Do you guys have two heads in the shower too? did anyone of you tried to do this? http://i.imgur.com/l7SRF.jpg I have never been in Britain but I bet that pretty sucks if it's true. |

brits are backward in nudity and sex? According to Rachies story they are more open to sex then me and most (not all) of my friends :D
But seriously, why don't you guys use normal water taps like the rest of the world? Washing your hands most be really painful in Britain. There is nothing better then warm water. |

I've never really thought of it as an issue :P Nope, we only have one shower head, that would just be wierd otherwise...
More modern sinks come with mixer taps/faucets, rather than two seperate ones, but you can have either really. (: |
yer have the two taps at home and it's a pain, i use cold tap more often than not when washing hands cos hot is too hot. At uni the accomodation is newer and they have mixer taps which are so much better!

The sink in my bathroom is something like this but differently shaped
http://www.whirlpoolbathrooms.co.uk/...n-monobloc.jpg as are the ones in all of the bathrooms in my house apart from the family bathroom which has auto taps. The kitchen one is one of the ones that kind of arches with two handles but one faucet-ey bit and it's bendy. I only have one shower head I don't know anyone that has two. |
Did you hear about the tap dancer?
He fell in the sink. |
Must just be in England. I don't think the 21st centrey has reached Cornwall just yet.
|
It's an older design that harps back to the time when people filled the sink to use it - pretty irrelevant at that point!

British tradition.....
A large part of britain has now got single mixer taps, but thise who want a more traditional look to their bathroom still go for the seperate hot and cold. There is an advantage with the seperate hot tap.... that is - that you can turn your heating down and use less gas to heat the water to the tempreture that suits you. Instead of wasting more water by cooling boiling hot water down with the use of yet more cold water. Perhaps thermostat control hasnt reached the rest of the world.... he he !!! :p

I have 2 heads in my shower
1s like a small normal sized one the other's a massive one and we have mixer taps here |
Having used both in my lifetime, I can safely say that there is only one advantage to having two separate taps: baths. It takes ages for a bath to fill up with one tap.
