Strip Uno
I've always been a fan of strip games where the tables can turn several times in a game before a loser is finally chosen. I've been working on rules for strip Uno for a while, so after a bit of testing, here they are. Enjoy!
There are lots of ways of playing Uno, so make sure everyone agrees on the rules before you start, and make sure the site you use matches the rules you've agreed on. You will need: ============================================ 2 or more players An online Uno site (I suggest unofreak) Items of clothing: ============================================ 3 items gives you a good length game of about 10-25 minutes. 5 items will be a much longer game Forfeits: ============================================ This game can work with either: a) a single forfeit for the loser b) a list of progressively harder forfeits that matches the number of items you start with (see below) Rules: ============================================ For this game, the rules are very simple. You will need to play multiple rounds. Ignore all other scoring and focus only on draw cards and who goes out first in each round. Get a draw 2 or draw 4 card played on you: lose an item. This is the only way you can lose an item of clothing. Losing a round has no effect unless you're naked (see below). If you're game allows stacking (which most do), then only the person who finally picks up cards strips, and they should only strip one item, regardless of how many cards are stacked. Playing a draw card on a naked player has no effect. Go out first in a round: you get to put an item back on. This is the only way you can get clothes back. Only the first player to go out can get items back in this way. I recommend starting a new round at this point. If you choose to play on, it's very likely someone will end up naked. They cannot lose as only the first player to go out can trigger that, but they go into the next round in a risky situation. You're naked when the first person in a round goes out: You have lost the game. Forfeits: ======================================== The severity of the forfeit should be based on the number of items that the winner has left. If playing with more than 2 players, then the 'winner' was the person who went out first in that round, not necessarily the person with the most clothing. E.g. Winner has 1 item: Easy forfeit Winner has 2 items: Medium forfeit Winner has 3 items: Harder forfeit and so on. Note that you should allow the player who went out to put their item on before calculating the forfeits. E.g. Player one is naked player two has one item Player 3 has 3 items Player 2 goes out, claims an item and then player 1 has lost and must do a 2-item forfeit. Suggestions/Alternative Rules: ==================================== If you don't play with stacking allowed, then you will drastically shorten the game, so this can be useful for quick games as you will most likely end up with both players naked in a 'sudden death' situation. This type of game always works best if you play until there is only one loser, regardless of number of players. Bear in mind however, that with these rules, you could have multiple losers is more than one person is naked at the end of a round. Good luck, and have fun! |
