Casey Anthony Trial

Have any of you been keeping up with the Casey Anthony murder trial? Do you think she is guilty? Does she deserve the death penalty?

Personally I think she did kill her 2 and a half year old daughter and that she will be sentenced to death. It's in Florida after all so they will more than likely kill her.

Yeah she is a lying b***h. "Zanny the Nanny took little Caylee" bullsh*t. Zanny is street slang for Zanax. So Zanax was the nanny? Oh and Caylee drowned in the pool so they put duct tape over her mouth and nose?

It is just so sad that a mother would do that to her daughter. :(

Look I have been watching this case since day 1 I believe in innocent till proven guilty but I will say the story one of the weakest defenses I have ever heard does she deserve death I believe that if shes is convicted then she deserves death but is shes found guilty of anything less than Murder 1 death is out of the question in the state of Florida I think she will get a Manslaughter and will get 25 years with parole in 8 years that is my opinion

cbtslave4u2 06-26-2011 10:17 PM

she wont be found guilty of manslaughter. im certain she willl get convicted of first degree murder. and atleast second degree murder. Florida won't care if she gets second degree they will still try to have her sentenced to death. The Florida execution rate is the second highest in the country, right brhind Texas.

Take it from someone who had this happen less than 40 minutes drive from where I live, her defense is sounding very convincing. This may be a hung jury. The prosecution is trying to convict her simply because the police and medical examiner did a shoddy job. They will be trying to force the jury to convict her solely as "justice for Caylee"! They didn't produce a single bit of evidence to prove motive for the mother to kill the child. They say Caylee died because of the duct tape over the mouth and nose but the body was so decomposed (just bones and skull) the tape wouldn't have still have been in place!

The defense is showing compelling evidence that the "meter man" had some involvement in Caylee's body, either before or after her death. He "discovered" her body 20ft from the road in a wooded area less than 30yds from the Anthony home! Once Caylee was reported missing, that's the first place EVERYBODY scoured every inch -- nothing. As months pass, different "experts" searched that area extensively -- nothing! But the "meter man" finds the body because he "happens" to notice a plastic bag (in brand new condition) near where he "needed" to take a piss (which his DNA couldn't be found where he said he was pissing!).

That's reasonable doubt! Any normal person (fortunately the trial was moved to Orlando/Orange County to get an impartial jury) will balk on pinning a death note on someone who may not have had anything to do with an accidental death!

I know nothing of the case or incidents but I will say nobody should get the death penalty.

cbtslave4u2 06-27-2011 11:57 AM

Caylee Anthony, Casey Anthony's 2 1/2 year old daughter, ent missing for a month. Everytime someone asked Casey where Caylee was she said "with the nanny". Meanwhile she is out partying, chillin with her boyfriend, having fun with friends, etc. Eventually her parents find out Casey's car has been towed weeks ago. They go to pick up the car and smell a dead body smell coming from the trunk of the car. Forensics experts find Caylee's hair, choloroform and other substances constistant with a decaying body.

She lied to police repeatedly, lied to her family, lied to friends.

Then a month later a utility worker finds a skeleton of a dead baby by her home. The skull still had duct tape attached to the mouth and nose, wrapped around the head, with a heart sticker on the mouth.

She's gonna die.

Are trials shown live on the TV in the USA then?

After reading through the what allegedly happened I think that she should definitely be sentenced to death if found Guilty. I can never understand people who don't support the death penalty, if the accused is found guilty of a crime like this, the murder of a defenceless innocent child, then they should definitely not deserve the right too life. I come from Northern Ireland, a country with a long history of terrorism and mass murder, and the troubles here are now fairly low key compared to what they were years ago, and in my opinion, one of the main reasons to this is Thatcher's 'shoot to kill' policy, which took out many of the IRA's key men, if these men were captured rather than shot, I don't think we'd be living in the relatively peaceful state we do now. Those who commit atrocities on whatever scale, from the murder of a child, to the bombing of a town have no right to life.

It's an odd one. Thanks for outlining the details. I'm shocked and horrified because it's a bloody disgusting thing to do, but I don't think anyone should be killed. Lock her up and throw away the key, let her simmer, let her have a life of absolute nothingness and she'll realise. Just killing someone does nothing.

Depends on the case and the judge. Graphic images and evidence will never be shown, it is always away from the camera. I sensitive cases like mobs and stuff like that, the odds of this happening are low. We do have TV stations like TruTV that will do show cases and sometimes in sentencing (for example Rod Blagoveich got sentenced today on television.).

This.

As far as the actual case though, I was curious at first but don't really care anymore

cbtslave4u2 06-27-2011 07:36 PM

Yes, some cases are aired on t if the judge allows it. We have already seen lots of testimony on tv. The jury in this case are barred from calling family, watching tv, and using the internet until this trial is over. If they do any of those things they could be sentenced to prison.

slutpup 06-27-2011 07:37 PM

I think that no one should deserve to die. People like that should be put in jail.
