Street (life) smart: "A person who has alot of common sense and knows what's going on in the world. This person knows what every type of person has to deal with daily and understands all groups of people and how to act around them. This person also knows all the current shit going on in the streets and the ghetto and everywhere else and knows how to make his own right decisions, knows how to deal with different situations and has his own independant state of mind. I'm probably more book smart than street smart, even though I've managed to navigate the streets of San Antonio with relevant ease and not land myself in jail or the morgue Which do you prefer in friends? Hmm, I don't have a 'preference'. My best friend is extremely street smart but couldn't debate her way out of a paper bag. Do I value her any less? No, of course not. She knows things I don't know and has taught me a lot (like how to apply liquid eyeliner in one perfect stroke without burning my eyeball clean out of its socket while doing 70 down I-35). She's also capable of getting us into almost all the best clubs in San Antonio.....for free. o_o Which do you prefer in a partner (sexual/romantic)? A combination of both, I would imagine. Which do you prefer in a dominant/ submissive? Again..a combination of both. Which do you think is most beneficial? Neither. They both have their flaws and advantages. To say that one is better would be the same as saying that he/she is better than the other...and that is simply not the case. |
Which are you more? I would say I'm a pretty even balance except I lean slightly more on street smart than book smart

Which are you more? Street, I think. I'm more knowledgable in my studies, but I can't write a good paper for shitz.
Which do you prefer in friends? I only need one book smart person to tutor me hahaha. But i know people who are complete book smartasses and have no social life at all.... My first post on GD. Wooh!
Anyway, just wanted to say I always find this sort of stuff fascinating. I watched a documentary a few years back that took a whole heap of people that were considered geniuses in many aspects. A musical prodigy, chess grandmaster, quantam physicist, world famous artist and a guy from Mensa who was an "IQ test specialist". There were othe people as well. Anyway they gave them all a standard IQ test and then gave thema whole lot of other intelligence tests. Lateral thinking, logical thing, expression through art stuff like that. Interestingly enough the physicist and the IQ specialist scored highest on the IQ test , however they were the best and worst respectively overall on the other tests. I just find it interesting how we as society sometimes say because someone didn't do well at school they aren't smart. Anyway my answers.
