Better messaging apps
I do not like the terms of service or privacy policies for kik, Snapchat, or skype. They all basically say than can see and use anything you share on their apps.
So I am wondering if anyone knows of better/more private messaging apps that can be used for NSFW communication. |
I know for telegram you can set up end to end encrypted chat.
Also discord would be a good way to chat as well. |
Does telegram allow for pictures as well? I want to be able to send pictures to people but I don't want the company that owns the app to be able to use my pictures like the big three claim the right to do.

yes you can send pic to people. And the encrypted chat can set for auto deletion as well.
However, I think if needed, they can still dig up all the data. That's the sad truth of internet. |
Signal is currently the most secure chat programme out there. That's what security professionals are using :)

Yeah, pretty much anything that gets sent digitally can be recovered. I'm more concerned about how they use my messages and content. Kik and Snapchat both say that they have the right to use ANYTHING you send. So I am trying to find a messaging app that doesn't claim usage rights.

I recommend Telegram. I wrote a post about it some time ago:

You convinced me. If I decide to get a messaging app, it will be telegram.

Super Simple
Whereby requires only an email address (no phone number) and the other party doesn’t have to join, you just send a link for them to click on. Optional Cam, Mike and text chatting.
It might not do everything that others do, but it is quick and easy. Just negotiate a time when you will both be online. It is getting more popular … Ps Counting the days! |
That sounds like it could be a good one too, but most of the people I message are in other parts of the world, so it is difficult to be online at the same time during the work week.
|
I would agree that Discord is an excellent chat app and allows for private and group chats. Files can be shared as well as video and audio chat and all it requires is an email address.

I use signal and telegram for years, they are definitely the best solution to stay in contact with the students of our Elite slave training school who are spread over the world. Both apps are secure, work fine on every kind of phone and I never had any bad experiences for the last eight years.
As wiki states - "In March 2017, Signal was approved by the sergeant at arms of the U.S. Senate for use by senators and their staff." So I think it should be good enough for your requirements. |
I'm aware that for Telegram, you can establish end-to-end encrypted chats.
Discord would also serve as a great platform for communication. |
