Concerning join-me

Pingu has posted an announcement. I am going to quote this so everyone knows forever and forever...

Telling mods that someone else was in control of your PC when something happened isn't our problem - it will be your account that faces the punishment.

I am going to leave this open so the mods can answer any questions concerning this policy

I'd just like to point out that if you stay signed in during the time that you are on join.me, then you cannot even start to blame anyone else. You allowed it to happen. The one time I tried it I signed off of all of my emails, twitter, tumblr, facebook, my school website (actually I closed that one completely and deleted it from my history so no one knew what it was), and yes, even my getDare. The people on the other side still had fun. Don't let them do things that you aren't comfortable with. Take your own action.

Exactly. If you let them go into the chat to be a raging moron, you are going to be blamed for it.

you can always close it on your end too.

Personally, on a site with so much sexual content, and illegal things that could potentially be done if youre not careful, i dont think letting someone control your screen should be encouraged at all, and possibly not even permitted. What if the person controlling your screen downloads child porn to your computer or something? Not saying a lot of gd users would, but there are malicious people out there. I wouldnt recommend doing any sort of screen sharing/controlling with anyone.

You always have control when your screen is shared. You can end their control at any time. So if someone is starting to do something illegal, just take their control away. Problem solved.

where did that thread go anyway... i can't seem to find it

I know that this is a rather old thread, but there has also been a thread created about TeamViewer where you can have complete control over someone's computer. It's just not really common sense to allow someone to have that much control. Unless you have complete trust in them, but even then it's a little sketchy.
