Best place to start is in your user profile page. Scan the links at the left hand.

Other wise just scan through the forums. Each one has its own rules I think. If in doubt, ask. :D

id say start with looking at the rules and look at a few threads in the section you are wanting to post in to get a feel for the place and then jump in.
