What is your experience with trust?

One thing that we all engage in on this site is trusting other people, even if a lot of us are quite anonymous in our profiles we reveal a lot about ourselves that I am certain the vast majority would never want revealed to the world!

So I am curious where you stand with trust and this site and the people on it...

I'm not going to give a number system, but ask about people's standards of trust, what criteria you set internally when it comes to reacting with others:

1. When you set a dare and receive confirmation that it's done/get a report, how much do you trust that it's actually been done?

2. How confident are you that a person is who they say they are? i.e. Gender, age, body proportions

3. Have you ever caught someone out on a lie? If so, what happened? (Please don't name any users in this thread)

4. Has someone ever broken your trust? (i.e. Shared pictures of you without consent)

5. When you see someone right a very long and elaborate story about something crazy happening to them, what do you think? (i.e. Fucking 20 guys in one night)

6. What are the factors that are important to you when it comes to trusting someone else?

and just for fun:

1. In general how much do you trust someone new from 1 to 10? (10 being you trust a stranger completely)

2. How long does it generally take for you to trust someone new? (Could be real life or online)

1. When you set a dare and receive confirmation that it's done/get a report, how much do you trust that it's actually been done?

Generally without or photo/video proof, I maintain a healthy skepticism. There are some people who report very well with lots of details to the point where either they are reporting honestly, or they are sufficiently good authors of fiction that I don't really mind if I am being lied to. Over many interactions with the same person, it reaches a point where someone lying would have to spend a lot of effort to maintain internal consistency.

2. How confident are you that a person is who they say they are? i.e. Gender, age, body proportions

Depends on the claims. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. When establishing an ongoing dynamic I require at least a some of proof pictures early on to establish trust, and I enjoy receiving pictures and videos of my tasks—both for my own entertainment and as a means of feedback for calibrating further tasks.

3. Have you ever caught someone out on a lie? If so, what happened? (Please don't name any users in this thread)

There are people who I become rapidly convinced they are lying. Especially during interactive play using a messaging app like kik. In such cases I will often deliberately assign a task I know from personal real-life experience is very difficult or time consuming to actually do, and get back a "Done, sir" response in seconds.

4. Has someone ever broken your trust? (i.e. Shared pictures of you without consent)

No. Except perhaps by ghosting.

5. When you see someone right a very long and elaborate story about something crazy happening to them, what do you think? (i.e. Fucking 20 guys in one night)

Generally, I maintain a healthy skepticism about such claims and treat them as entertaining works of fiction for the most part.

6. What are the factors that are important to you when it comes to trusting someone else?

Generally, I value people being authentic. If I want fake then there are thousands of porn sites, erotic stories, cam girls, etc. I enjoy getDare for the opportunity to have real interactions.

1. In general how much do you trust someone new from 1 to 10? (10 being you trust a stranger completely)

To put a number on it, 5. That will usually then go up or down depending on our interactions.

2. How long does it generally take for you to trust someone new? (Could be real life or online)

I like to give the benefit of the doubt until I am given cause for suspicion. Even better is the trust but verify approach.

1. When you set a dare and receive confirmation that it's done/get a report, how much do you trust that it's actually been done?

It really depends on the task but in general by now I tend to see things as role play but with realistic tasks instead of fantasy. In my mind it stays in a bit of a limbo of "it might be real but for now I will assume it is roleplay" .

2. How confident are you that a person is who they say they are? i.e. Gender, age, body proportions

I will give people the benefit of the dought, but it depends a lot on the claims. The less likely the claim the more I will be in doubt. And a lot falls very fast in to the category of "role play" in my head. And I start taking them simply a lot less, serious.

3. Have you ever caught someone out on a lie? If so, what happened? (Please don't name any users in this thread)

Many times. In general by them falling in to the escalation trap of getting more and more fantastic and unrealistic, but also by running out of matching "proof" to fabricate the situations they describe

4. Has someone ever broken your trust? (i.e. Shared pictures of you without consent)

Not really

5. When you see someone right a very long and elaborate story about something crazy happening to them, what do you think? (i.e. Fucking 20 guys in one night)

I use "Manga World" for it... I see it as fiction

6. What are the factors that are important to you when it comes to trusting someone else?

I in general try to give a bit of trust to people to start with, as they kind of have to trust me too without knowing me. Trust is a two way street in my eyes you need to give it to get it back. But it really depends a lot on what my investment is.
Giving a task on the site in a threat I needed 5 minutes to write simply isn't a big thing even if it is fake.
A longer relationship on the other hand will require some more trust and more things like maybe a picture or, what I even prefer, a short conversation over voice.
But I also will go by guts here, if something feels off more proof is needed earlier than when all feels legit.

1. In general how much do you trust someone new from 1 to 10? (10 being you trust a stranger completely)

I would say a 4, I give them some trust as long as they have given me no reason to not believe them, but with some little nudge towards sceptical.

2. How long does it generally take for you to trust someone new? (Could be real life or online)

I am a very open person so in some aspects I trust people fast. On the other hand to fully trust somone can take quiet long.

1. When you set a dare and receive confirmation that it's done/get a report, how much do you trust that it's actually been done?
I tend to give the benifit of the doubt on the whole, despite the effort I may have put into crafting the dare in the end I am uneffected by them doing it or not. But I like to belive they did it.

2. How confident are you that a person is who they say they are? i.e. Gender, age, body proportions
This is again another area where I prefer to give the benifit of the doubt.

3. Have you ever caught someone out on a lie? If so, what happened? (Please don't name any users in this thread)
No I have not.

4. Has someone ever broken your trust? (i.e. Shared pictures of you without consent)
No

5. When you see someone right a very long and elaborate story about something crazy happening to them, what do you think? (i.e. Fucking 20 guys in one night)
I hold a healthy amount of sceptisim (or at least I belive its a healthy amount) but again I try to remeber that a few crazy things have happened to me and give the benifit of the doubt.

6. What are the factors that are important to you when it comes to trusting someone else?
By default I will trust someone at there word, If that trust is abused then it is difficult to get back. That said I have had my trust broken in the past and that douse Color my trust in future relationships but I try not to let that influence hold to much weight

and just for fun:

1. In general how much do you trust someone new from 1 to 10? (10 being you trust a stranger completely)
4.5

2. How long does it generally take for you to trust someone new? (Could be real life or online)
like I said benifit of the doubt at first, but full trust could be hours could be days or even months, depends on the person
