Better Online/Offline indicator
 

I've noticed that people display as online for far too long after logging out

It'll be a 30 mins+ before someone displays as offline even though it's obvious they have logged out

I think maybe if someone is inactive for a certain amount of time they are automatically shown as offline.

I wonder if you actually logout or simply close the browser without logging out makes a difference.

This is really the question I'm asking to be honest, maybe having an "away" option if not been active on the site after so many minutes

I think it would probably happen if you were going to sleep or something and instead of logging out you just closed the browser. Another button wouldn't help in that situation.

This is something that happens on most forums, and yes its quite annoying.
