★ Amazing Facts.
Post some amazing facts, or just odd facts, bizarre facts?
Hell, I'll settle for any facts. - When placed in warm milk, raisins re-plump into grapes. - Whispering instead of talking on cell phones saves significant battery power. - The metal backs of iPods are made from recycled zippers. - Every sixteen minutes, someone named Richard dies. - Dolphins kill more people annually than sharks and influenza combined. - Three out of every ten nickels has been in someone’s mouth. - If you hold one nostril closed for 72 hours, you will slowly lose the ability to see color. (Your sight will instantly return to normal when you release your nostril.) - Wave a magnet at the lower left corner of a vending machine to receive a free soda. - The glossy paper from the backs of stickers can be used to soothe sunburn. - In Austria, the traditional Christmas colors are not red and greed, but purple and clear. - The Z in Jay-Z’s name stands for “Zeppidemus.” - The average person inhales 3 pounds of spider webs in his or her lifetime. - Winnie the Pooh started out as a non-fiction account of mental illness. - Reading backwards for twenty minutes burns the same amount of calories as walking a half-mile. - Revolving doors were first invented as a way to keep horses out of department stores - Human beings and anteaters are the only animals that can snap their fingers. - If you soak a baseball hat in coke, and then let it dry on someone’s head, over a 3-hour period the hat will shrink with skull-denting force, causing intense pain and irreparable damage. |
Elephants are the only mammal that can't jump.
SATOR AREPO TENET OPERA ROTAS This latin 'square' is unique, it is the only combination of five letter words that reads the same whilst making sense backwards, horizontally and vertically It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open The sentence "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" uses every letter in the english language |
Hmm... maybe you could use teh baseball hat thing on breasts to do something interesting and painful. Sounds like you'd need to use caution though.

Fact: most wierd laws come from precedents and or a normal law written strangely.
Say if someone works somewhere and has to wear rollerskates even in bathrooms and the employee falls and hurts themselves, they can then sue and set a precedent for wearing rollerskates in bathrooms. Or if it's illegal to tie anything to a fire hydrant then of course it's illegal to tie a lion to it. One "wierd" law that I know for sure doesn't fit into those catogories was a law that was in Queensland Australia. It used to be illegal to for more then three people to walk down the street side by side, because it was considered a protest. |
Whaling (the act of hunting whales) is illegal in many land-locked states of the US.
|
don't be mean to us Queenslanders, we love our silly laws, another law that is around today from the old days in Queensland.
When building a pub you must have a post out front to tie horses to. |
Joe Belhke Petersen had the most corrupt goverment ever.
I live in Queensland. anyways :P |
really what part.
The Nobel Peace Prize medal depicts three naked men with their hands on each other's shoulders! |
South east.
The man who invented dyamite or gun powder or something like that got the peace prize. AND Here in Australia atleast, there has been no footage of Obama since he and his wife met KRudd and his wife. Which is kinda strange, since before then we were seeing him daily. |
There is an active Nazi political party in the US, only the anti-Nazi sentiments keep it from being broadcast on any major televised channel.
