Character counters
 

One of the most common reasons that force me to shorten things up are messages such as:

• Your signature cannot be longer than 1000 characters including BB code markup.
• Your signature cannot be longer than 500 characters excluding BB code markup.

While I am not arguing with the limit, in itself, would it be possible for you to include 2 characters counters easily viewable within the editor, both with and without BB code?

As an added, non essential, bonus, the counters should turn from green to red (or similar) the moment a limit is reached.

This should be available as simply a plug-in...

I haven't seen or heard of these type of counters.

I am quite surprised... Just look for them, and you will find them!
