Pm's not appearing in inbox

Hi in the top corner of my screen it says I have 7 notifications. When I click on that it says 7 unread private messages but when I click on that it takes me to my inbox where there are no unread messages. Please help

The board has issues with spam a while ago. Those messages were spam pms that were removed from your inbox. Nothing important.

Do the notifications just stay there then?

in the right hand corner check off so all your messages are marked with check marks and then at the bottom of the screen click 'mark as read' and click go - it should be fixed after that.
