Is it really smart to have a random blog generator?

It just ends up with people (Occasionally including me) posting on really old blogs, and then just embarrasing themselves about it because it's so dated.

Just wrong.

Surely it should be the newest blog there instead... Would make much more sense.

Bringing blogs back from the dead is nearly as bad as bringing threads back from the dead.

Only difference is, blogs don't get much notice. Even though they arn't modded (Pretty much at all, except for extreme cases like flaming, trolling and spamming, but not old threads etc)

Anyway yeh, I think that it should be a "The newest blog" instead of "A Random Blog" often dated from around '07 etc...

If you don't mind me making a suggestion, Smile:
Maybe since it says "featured blog", it could be one actually *chosen* to be featured due to its content? Maybe something particularly interesting or helpful, like the stickied threads?

It could be anything that is there really, I just don't think that old blogs from last year, the year before etc, are really nessesary, and just encourage many mistakes.

They already have a list of newest blogs so displaying the newest one might be a bit redundant.

I like that idea, because the featured blogs are random, I think?
It should be a great blog, that then becomes featured.
